22 There they strengthened the disciples,*+ encouraging them to remain in the faith and saying: “We must enter into the Kingdom of God through many tribulations.”+

9 For it seems to me that God has put us the apostles last on exhibition as men condemned to death,+ because we have become a theatrical spectacle to the world,+ and to angels and to men.

21 In fact, to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you,+ leaving a model for you to follow his steps closely.+
