The Thing Dem Da John Write
15 “I the real grape tree, and my Father da the farmer. 2 He can cut off any branch da not bearing fruit, and he can take care of* all the branch dem da bearing fruit, so da they can bear more fruit. 3 Yor already clean because of the thing dem I na tell yor. 4 Yor mon continue to be united with me, and I will continue to be united with yor. Just how the branch can’t bear fruit by itself except it remain on the grape tree, da the same way yor will not bear fruit except yor continue to be united with me. 5 I the grape tree, and da yor the branch dem. Anybody who continue to be united with me and I united with him, da person will bear plenty fruit, because apart from me yor can’t do anything. 6 If anybody not continue to be united with me, he will be like the branch da get dry because they cut it. And people can take this branch dem and burn them in the fire. 7 If yor continue to be united with me and obey the thing dem I tell yor, then anything yor ask for yor will get it. 8 When yor continue bearing plenty fruit and show da yor my disciple, yor will be bringing praise to my Father. 9 The same way my Father love me da just how I love yor. So yor continue to benefit from my love. 10 If yor obey my commandments, yor will continue to benefit from my love the same way I obey my Father commandments and I continue to benefit from his love.
11 “I na tell yor this thing dem so da yor can be happy the same way I happy. 12 Da this commandment I give yor, yor mon love each other the same way I love yor. 13 Nobody get love more than the person who give his life *for his friend dem. 14 Yor will be my friend dem if yor do the thing dem I tell yor. 15 I can’t call yor slaves again because the slave not know what his master can do. But I call yor my friend dem because I na tell yor all the thing dem I hear from my Father. 16 Da not yor choose me, but da me choose yor, so da yor can continue bearing fruit and your fruit will last forever. So anything yor ask the Father for in my name, he will give it to yor so long yor continue bearing fruit.
17 “I telling yor this thing dem so da yor can love each other. 18 If the world hate yor, yor mon remember da the world hate me first before it hate yor. 19 If yor wor coming be part of the world, the world wor coming to like yor. But because yor not part of the world, and I na choose yor from the world, da the reason why the people dem in the world hate yor. 20 Yor mon remember what I tell yor: The slave not better pass his master. If they treat me bad, they will also treat yor bad. If they obey what I say, they will also obey the thing dem yor tell them. 21 But they will do all this thing dem to yor because of my name and because they not know the person who send me. 22 If I wor not going to come and talk to them, they wor coming get excuse for their sin. But now they not get any excuse for their sin. 23 Anybody who hate me, they also hate my Father. 24 If I wor not coming do the work dem da nobody na do, then they wor not coming get sin. But now they na see me, and they hate me and my Father. 25 But this one happen so the thing they write in their Law can come to pass: ‘They hate me for no reason.’ 26 I will send the holy spirit to help yor. When it come, it* will talk about me. Da the spirit da will teach yor the truth, and it coming from the Father. 27 Yourself too, yor mon talk about me because yor been with me since I started preaching.
