The Thing Dem Da Luke Write
11 One time Jesus wor to one place praying, when he stop, one of his disciple dem tell him say: “Lord, teach us how to pray, just how John na teach his disciple dem too.”
2 So he tell them say: “Anytime yor praying, yor mon say: ‘Father, let your name be holy. Let your Kingdom come. 3 Give us the food we need every day. 4 And forgive our sins because we ourself na forgive everybody who sin against us, and don’t allow us to fall in temptation.’”
5 Then he tell them say: “Suppose one of yor get one friend and you go to him midnight and tell him say: ‘My friend, I beg you borrow me three bread, 6 because one of my friends just came from far place and I not get anything to give him.’ 7 But his friend tell him say: ‘Stop giving me hard time. I finish locking the door, and my small-small children dem sleeping. I not able to get up to give you anything.’ 8 I tell yor, even if he will not give him anything because da his friend, he will surely get up and give him anything he need because he continue asking. 9 So I tell yor say, continue asking, and you will get it, continue looking, and you will find it, continue knocking, and it will be open for you. 10 Because anybody who asking will get it, and anybody who looking will find it, and anybody who knocking, it will be open for them. 11 Which father among yor will give his son snake if his son ask him for fish? 12 Or he will give his son scorpion, if he ask him for egg? 13 So, even though yor can sin, yor know how to give good gifts to your children. Yor not think your Father who in heaven will be more willing to give holy spirit to people who asking him?”
14 Later on, he move demon from in one man. The demon wor making the man to not talk. When the demon move from in the man, the man started talking and the people wor surprise. 15 But some of them tell him say: “Da Be·el′ze·bub,* the ruler for the demons can help him to move demons from in people.” 16 And other people wanted to test him, so they started asking him to show them sign from heaven. 17 When he got to know what they wor thinking about, he tell them say: “Any kingdom where the people can fight among theirself will be destroy, and any family da can fight among theirself will not stand. 18 Da the same way if Satan fighting against hisself, how his kingdom will stand? Because yor say I using the power from Be·el′ze·bub to move demons from in people. 19 If I using the power from Be·el′ze·bub to move demons from people, then who power yor disciple dem can use to move them? Da why your disciple dem will judge yor. 20 But if I can use God power* to move demons from in people, it mean God Kingdom already here and yor not even notice it. 21 When strong man with weapon minding his house, all his thing dem can be save. 22 But if somebody who get strength pass him come and beat him, da man will take all the weapon dem he wor trusting in. And he will divide the thing dem he take from him and give it to other people. 23 Anybody who not on my side against me, and anybody who not work with me to help people come to me will scatter.
24 “When wicked spirit* move from in somebody, it can pass different-different areas da not get water to find somewhere to rest. But if it not find anywhere, then it can say, ‘I will go back to the person I wor in.’ 25 And when it went back, it saw da the man wor looking like empty house da they sweep clean and decorate. 26 Then it go and bring seven other spirits da wicked pass it, and after they enter the man, they stay there. So, the man final condition got worse more than the first time.”
27 So when he wor saying this thing dem, one woman talk with loud voice from among the people and tell him say: “The woman who born you and breastfeed you happy!” 28 But he tell her say: “No, da the people who hear what God say and do it happy!”
29 When plenty people wor coming together, he tell them say: “This generation da wicked generation. It always looking for sign, but they will not see any sign beside the sign about Jo′nah. 30 The Son of man will be sign for this generation, just how Jo′nah wor sign for the people dem in Nin′e·veh. 31 The queen from Sheba will come back to life on Judgment Day with the people in this generation and she will condemn them. Because she travel all the way from her country to hear the wisdom from Solomon. But somebody here more important than Solomon. 32 The people from Nin′e·veh will come back to life on Judgment Day with this generation and they will condemn it. And da because they repent when Jo′nah preach to them. But the person who here more important than Jo′nah. 33 When somebody finish lighting the lamp, they can’t hide it or put it under the basket,* but they can put it on the table so da when people come inside they can see the light. 34 The light for the body da your eyeball. When your eyeball focus,* your whole body will also be bright. But when your eyeball focusing on wicked thing dem, your whole body will also be dark. 35 So make sure da the light da in you da not darkness. 36 So, if your whole body bright with no part of it dark, it mean your whole body bright just how when light shine on you.”
37 When he finish saying this thing dem, one Pharisee ask Jesus to go eat with him. So he went inside and sit down to the table. 38 But the Pharisee wor surprise when he saw da Jesus not wash* his hands before he start eating. 39 But the Lord tell him say: “Yor the Pharisee dem, yor can clean the outside part of the dishes, but inside it can be dirty. Da just how yor looking, yor always want more and more and yor wicked. 40 Yor not get sense! Ehn the person da made the outside part da them made the inside part too? 41 But yor mon give gifts to the poor people with yor whole hearts, and everything about yor will be clean. 42 But bad things will happen to yor the Pharisee dem because yor can give the tithe for the mint, the rue, and all the other plant dem da can grow in the garden. And yor can’t judge the correct way and yor not love God! It important for yor to do this thing dem first, but it not mean yor mon forget about this other thing dem. 43 Bad thing will happen to the Pharisee dem because yor like the best seats in the synagogues and yor like for people to speak to yor special way in the markets! 44 Bad thing will happen to yor because yor looking like the grave dem da people can’t see good, and people can walk on it but they not know!”
45 One of the people who knew the Law good-good tell him say: “Teacher, when you say this thing dem, you cussing us too.” 46 Then he say: “Bad thing will also happen to yor who know the Law good-good, because yor make rules da looking like loads da hard for people to carry, but yor can’t touch this load dem with one of yor fingers!
47 “Bad thing will happen to yor, because yor build the prophet dem graves, but da your great grandpa dem kill them! 48 To talk the truth, yor know the thing dem da your great grandpa dem do, but still yor support them, because they kill the prophet dem but yor building their graves. 49 Da the reason why God who wise say: ‘I will send prophets and apostles to them, and they will kill them and treat some of them bad, 50 so da this generation can be guilty for all the prophet dem da they kill from the beginning of the world. 51 They will be guilty from Abel all the way down to Zech·a·ri′ah, who they kill between the altar and the temple.’ Yes, I tell yor, this generation will be guilty.
52 “Bad thing will happen to yor who know the Law good-good, because yor hide the key da can open the door for people to learn about God. Yor not enter, and yor try to stop other people from entering!”
53 So when he left from there, the scribes and the Pharisee dem started rushing coming around him to make him scare, and they started asking him plenty questions. 54 They wor doing it so da he can say something da they will use to accuse him.
