16 So he reach to Derʹbe and also to Lysʹtra. And one disciple name Timothy wor there. His ma wor Jew who accept the good news but his pa wor Greek man. 2 The brother dem in Lysʹtra and I·coʹni·um talk plenty good-good thing dem about Timothy. 3 Paul say he wanted Timothy to follow him. So he take him and circumcise him because of the Jews in the area dem around there, and because all of them knew his pa da wor Greek man. 4 When they wor traveling from city to city, they give the laws da the apostles and the elder dem in Jerusalem decide on so da they can obey them. 5 Then the brother and sister dem in the congregation faith continue to get strong, and every day they wor getting plenty.
6 Also, they travel through Phrygʹi·a and Ga·laʹti·a, because the holy spirit stop them from preaching the word in Asia. 7 Also, when they came down to Mysʹi·a, they try hard to go to Bi·thynʹi·a, but Jesus use the holy spirit to stop them. 8 So they pass through Mysʹi·a and came down to Troʹas. 9 And in the night, Paul saw one vision. And in the vision one man from Mac·e·doʹni·a wor standing there and telling him say: “Come to Mac·e·doʹni·a and help us.” 10 As soon he saw this vision, we try to go to Mac·e·doʹni·a, because we knew da God wor telling us to go and preach the good news to them.
11 So we got in the ship and left from Troʹas and went straight to Samʹo·thrace. But the next day we went to Ne·apʹo·lis, 12 and we left from there and went to Phi·lipʹpi, one of the Roman city. Da the main city in the area call Mac·e·doʹni·a. We spend some days in this city. 13 On the Sabbath day, we went outside the city near the river, where we wor thinking da they get place to pray, and we sit down and started preaching to the women dem da wor there. 14 And one woman name Lydʹi·a, wor from the city call Thy·a·tiʹra. She use to sell purple cloth and she wor worshipping God. She wor listening, and Jehovah* help her to pay attention and accept the thing dem Paul wor saying. 15 When she and the people in her house got baptize, she tell us say: “If yor see me to be faithful to Jehovah,* yor come and stay in my house.” The way she wor begging us make us to go to her house.
16 One day when we wor going to the place people can pray, one slave girl who wor having demon came to us. She use to make plenty profit for her master dem by talking about what will happen in the future. 17 This girl continue to follow Paul and us shouting and saying: “This men dem da slaves for the Most High God and they telling yor how God will save yor.” 18 She continue to do it for plenty days. In the end, Paul got tire with it and he turn around and tell the demon say: “I order you in Jesus Christ name to move from inside her.” And right away, it move from inside her.
19 When her master dem saw da they wor not having anything to give them profit again, they catch Paul and Silas and drag them in the market to the ruler dem. 20 When they carry them to the rulers for the city, they say: “This men dem causing trouble in our city bad way. They Jews, 21 and they teaching traditions da our Law not allow us to follow, because we Roman citizens.” 22 And all the people turn against them, and the ruler dem for the city tell the people to tear their clothes and beat them with sticks. 23 After they beat them bad way, they put them in jail and tell the man who minding the jail to mind them good-good. 24 Because they tell him this one, he put them in the room da wor way inside the jailhouse and he lock their foot between two wood.
25 But around midnight, Paul and Silas wor praying and singing song to praise God, and the other people who wor in jail wor listening to them. 26 Right away one great earthquake happen, and the jail house foundation started to shake. Also, all the door dem open right away, and the chain loosen from on all the people dem da they tie. 27 When the man who wor minding the jail wake up, he saw the door dem for the jail house open. So he take his sword and he wanted to kill hisself because he wor thinking da the people who wor in jail na run away. 28 But Paul shout and say: “Don’t hurt yourself, because all of us still here!” 29 So he ask for light and he rush inside. He wor trembling because he wor scare. So he kneel down in front of Paul and Silas. 30 He bring them outside and ask: “Boss men dem, wetin I mon do to be safe?” 31 They say: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you and everybody in your house will be safe.” 32 Then they preach Jehovah* Word to him and all the people in his house. 33 And da same time in the night, he carry them somewhere and clean their sore dem. Then he and everybody in his house not waste time to get baptize. 34 He carry them to his house and he give them food to eat. He and the people da wor in his house wor really happy because they na believe in God.
35 When day break, the ruler dem for the city send some bodyguard dem to say: “Yor free the men dem.” 36 The man who wor minding the jail tell Paul about what they say. He say: “The ruler dem for the city na send some men dem to free two of yor. So yor come outside. Yor free to go.” 37 But Paul tell them say: “Even though they not judge us, they flog us in front of everybody and put us in jail, even though we Roman citizens. Then they want free us in secret? No, we not agree! Let theirself come and carry us outside.” 38 The bodyguard dem came and explain everything to the ruler dem for the city. And they got scare bad way when they hear da the men dem wor Roman citizens. 39 So they came and started begging them, and after they carry them outside, they tell them to leave the city. 40 But they got outside the jailhouse and went to Lydʹi·a house, and when they saw the brother dem, they encourage them and left from there.
