The Thing Dem Da Luke Write
12 During da time, plenty people came together, and they wor so plenty until they started stepping on each other. Then Jesus started talking to his disciple dem first, he say: “Be careful because of the yeast of the Pharisees, and da one mean, to be hypocrite. 2 But they can’t hide anything da will not come outside, and any secret they get people will know about it. 3 So, anything yor say in private people will hear about it, and anything yor talk in secret, people will talk about it for everybody to hear it. 4 Also, let me tell yor my friends, don’t be scare of people who able to kill the body but after da they not able to do anything again. 5 But we mon be scare of God. Because he get the power to kill you and throw you in Ge·hen′na.* So, da He you mon be scare of. 6 People can sell five sparrows* for two coins da get small value,* ehn da true? But God can’t forget about even one of them. 7 And he even know the number of hairs da on your head. Don’t be scare, you better pass plenty sparrows.
8 “Let me tell yor, anybody who say they know me in front of people, the Son of man will also say he know him in front of God angels. 9 But anybody who say they not know me in front of people, the Son of man will also say he not know him in front of God angels. 10 Anybody who say bad thing against the Son of man, God will forgive him, but anybody who say bad thing against the holy spirit God will not forgive him. 11 When they bring yor in front of plenty people, the ruler dem, and people who in high positions, yor mon not worry about how or what yor will say to defend yourself or what answer yor will give. 12 Because at da time the holy spirit will teach yor the thing dem yor will say.”
13 Then somebody from among the people tell him say: “Teacher, tell my brother to divide all our pa property dem and give me my own.” 14 Jesus tell him say: “My man, who make me judge or give me the power to divide the property between you and your brother?” 15 Then he tell them say: “Yor shine your eye good-good and be careful so da yor can’t want everything for yourself, because even when somebody get plenty thing dem, the thing dem he get can’t give him life.” 16 Then he give them one example, he say: “ One rich man farm produce plenty food. 17 So he started talking in his heart, ‘Wetin I will do now, the way I not get anywhere to keep all the thing dem I harvest?’ 18 Then he say, ‘I know what I will do. I will break my old warehouse down and build big one, and da there I will keep all my thing dem I harvest and all the thing dem I get. 19 and I will tell myself say: “You get plenty thing dem in the warehouse da will stay for plenty years. So relax, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself.”’ 20 But God tell him say, ‘You not get sense, tonight you will die. So who will get all the thing dem you na keep?’ 21 Da the same way it will be for the person who keeping plenty thing dem da get value but he not get friendship with God.”
22 Then he tell his disciple dem say: “Da the reason why I tell yor to stop worrying too much about your life,* about what yor will eat or about what yor will wear. 23 Because your life important more than food and your body important more than clothes. 24 Yor think about the bird dem they call ravens: They can’t plant seed or harvest, and they not get warehouse to keep their food, but still God can feed them. Yor not think yor more important pass this bird dem? 25 Which one of yor able to add just small time to his life because he worrying too much? 26 So, if yor not able to do small thing like this, why yor mon be worry about this other thing dem? 27 Yor think about how the flower dem can grow. They can’t work or sew clothes, but I tell yor da with all the fine-fine thing dem King Sol′o·mon wor having, he not dress fine equal to any of this flower dem. 28 So if God can make the plant dem fine like this, this plant dem da here today and tomorrow they throw them in the fire, yor not think he will give yor clothes, yor who get small faith? 29 So stop worrying about wetin yor will eat or wetin yor will drink, and stop worrying too much. 30 Because da all this thing dem people in the world really running behind, but your Father in heaven know da you need all this thing dem. 31 But continue to put the Kingdom first, and God will give yor all this other thing dem.
32 “Yor mon not be scare, small group of sheep, because your Father na agree to give yor the Kingdom. 33 Yor sell your property dem and give gifts to the poor people. Fix money bags for yourself da can’t spoil, da mean, keep all your good-good thing dem in heaven, and they will never finish. And where no rogue can come near it or insect can eat. 34 Because anywhere you keeping your good-good thing dem, da the place your heart will be.
35 “Wear your clothes and be ready and light your lamp, 36 and yor mon be like men dem da waiting for their master to come back from the wedding party, so da when he come and knock the door, they will open it for him right away. 37 This slave dem will be happy when their master come back and see da they still on the watch! To tell yor the true, he will wear his working clothes and tell them to sit down to the table, and he will come and serve them. 38 If he come in the night, or even soon in the morning and find them ready, they will be happy! 39 But know da if the house owner knew the time the rogue wor coming, he wor not coming allow the rogue to enter his house. 40 Yor mon also continue to be ready, because the Son of man will come the time yor not expecting it.”
41 Then Peter tell him say: “Lord, you giving this example just for us or for everybody?” 42 Then Jesus ask him: “Da who really the faithful and discreet slave, who his master choose to be over his servant dem to continue giving them enough food at the right time? 43 Da slave will be happy if his master come back and see him doing the work he give him to do! 44 To tell yor the truth, he will put him over all his property dem so he can take care of them. 45 But if da slave start saying in his heart, ‘My master wasting time,’ and he start beating the other slave dem and he start eating and drinking and getting drunk, 46 da slave master will come on the day da he not expecting, and the hour da he not know. And he will punish him bad way and put him among the people dem who can’t obey God. 47 Then the master will really beat da slave who knew what his master want, but he not get ready or do what his master tell him to do. 48 But the slave who not understand and do bad things, they will beat him but it will not be too much. Yes, anybody who they give more, they will expect more from him, and anybody da they put over plenty thing dem they will expect more from him.
49 “I came to start fire on the earth, so wetin I need to do again if I already finish lighting the fire? 50 I get different kindna baptism to go through, and I really worrying about it until it come and pass! 51 Yor think I come bring peace on the earth? No, I surely come divide people. 52 From now on family will not be together. If da five person in the family, three person will be against two and two person will be against three. 53 They will not be united, the pa will be against his son, and the son will be against his pa. The ma will be against her daughter and the daughter will be against her ma, the mother-in-law will be against her daughter-in-law and the daughter-in-law will be against her mother-in-law.”
54 Then he also tell the people say: “When yor see the dark cloud in the west, right away yor can say, ‘Heavy rain coming fall,’ and it can happen. 55 And when yor see breeze blowing from the desert, yor can say, ‘The place will be hot,’ and it can happen. 56 Hypocrites, when yor see the earth and the sky yor can know if sun will shine or rain will fall, but why yor not know the meaning of the thing dem da happening now-now? 57 Why yor can’t understand the right thing yor suppose to do? 58 For example, if somebody get problem with you and carry you to the ruler, be quick to settle it when yor on the road. So da the person can’t carry you to the judge and the judge give you to the person who will carry you to jail, and the person put you in jail. 59 Let me tell yor, you will never be free from jail until you pay your last small coin.”*
