They wor having one garden there, and he and his disciple dem went in the garden. 2 But Judas, the person who wor coming sell him, knew the place too, because Jesus and his disciple dem use to meet there most of the time. 3 So Judas carry group of soldier people and officers who wor from the chief priests and the Pharisee dem. And they went there with lights and swords and sticks. 4 Because Jesus knew all the thing dem da wor coming happen to him, he came from among the disciples and ask the people: “Who yor looking for?” 5 They say: “We looking for Jesus the Naz·a·rene′.” He tell them say: “Da me.” And Judas who sell him wor also standing with the people.
6 But when Jesus tell them say, “Da me,” they dress back and fall down on the ground. 7 So he ask them again: “Who yor looking for?” They say: “We looking for Jesus the Naz·a·rene′.” 8 Jesus tell them say: “I tell yor say da me. So if da me yor looking for, yor let this other men dem go.” 9 This one happen so da the thing Jesus say can come to pass. He say: “All the people you give me, I not lose any of them.”
10 Then Simon Peter who wor having one sword, take it out and cut off the high priest slave right ear. The slave name wor Malchus. 11 But Jesus tell Peter say: “Put the sword back to the place you take it from. You not want me to drink from the cup* my Father na give me?”
12 Then the soldier people, the army commander, and the officer dem da the Jews send arrest Jesus and tie him. 13 First they carry him to An′nas who wor Ca′ia·phas father-in-law, and Ca′ia·phas wor the high priest da year. 14 In fact, da Ca′ia·phas advise the Jews da they will benefit if one man die for all the people.
15 Simon Peter and one other disciple wor following Jesus. The high priest knew da disciple, and he went with Jesus in the high priest compound. 16 But Peter wor standing outside to the door. So the other disciple who the high priest know went outside and talk with the person who wor minding the door, and he bring Peter inside. 17 Then the house girl who wor minding the door ask Peter: “Ehn you one of this man disciple too?” He say: “No, I not his disciple.” 18 Da time the slaves and the officer dem wor standing around the fire. They made the fire because it wor cold, and they wor warming theirself. Peter wor also standing with them warming hisself.
19 So the chief priest ask Jesus some question dem about his disciples and the thing dem he can teach. 20 Jesus tell him say: “I na talk in front of everybody. I always use to teach in the synagogue and in the temple, the place the Jews dem can come together. And I not say anything in secret. 21 Why you asking me? Ask the people who hear the thing dem I na tell them. See! They know the thing dem I say.” 22 After Jesus say this one, one of the officers who wor standing there put slap in his face and tell him say: “Da how you can answer the chief priest?” 23 Jesus tell him say: “If I say anything da not correct, tell me the wrong thing I say. But if I say the right thing, then why you slap me?” 24 Then An′nas tell them to carry him to Ca′ia·phas the high priest. Da time his hand wor still tie.
25 And Simon Peter wor standing there warming hisself. Then they ask him: “Ehn you one of this man disciples?” He deny it and say: “No, I not one of his disciples.” 26 One slave for the high priest wor there, he wor related to the man who ear Peter cut off. He ask him: “I saw you with him in the garden, enh da true?” 27 But Peter deny it again, and right away one rooster crow.
28 Soon in the morning, they take Jesus from Ca′ia·phas house and carry him to the governor compound. But the people who carry him not enter the compound because they wanted to remain clean so da they can eat the Passover food. 29 So Pilate came outside to them and ask them: “What the bad thing yor say this man na do?” 30 They tell him say: “If this man wor not criminal, we wor not coming bring him to you.” 31 So Pilate tell them say: “Yor carry him and use your law to judge him.” The Jews tell him say: “We not get the right to kill anybody.” 32 This one happen so da what Jesus say about the way he wor coming die can come to pass.
33 So Pilate enter in his compound again and call Jesus and ask him: “Da you the King for the Jews?” 34 Then Jesus ask him: “You asking me because you really want know, or because other people na tell you thing dem about me?” 35 Then Pilate say: “Ehn you know da I not Jew? Da your own people and the chief priest dem bring you to me. Wetin you do?” 36 Jesus tell him say: “My Kingdom not part of this world. If my Kingdom wor part of this world, my disciple dem wor never coming to allow the Jews to arrest me. But just what I say, my Kingdom not from this world.” 37 So Pilate ask him: “So you king?” Jesus tell him say: “Da just what you yourself saying da I king. Da the reason why they born me, and da the reason why they send me in the world, so da I can tell people about the truth. Anybody who obey the truth can listen to my voice.” 38 Then Pilate ask him: “What you mean by truth?”
After he say this one, he went outside to the Jews again and tell them say: “I not see any bad thing this man na do. 39 Beside da one, yor get one tradition da say on every Passover I mon free one man and give him to yor. So yor want me to free the King for the Jews?” 40 The people shout again and say: “We not want this man, we want Bar·ab′bas!” And Bar·ab′bas da wor rogue.
