The Thing Dem Da John Write
10 “To tell yor the truth, the person who not enter through the door to the place they keeping the sheep but climb on the wall to enter, da person da rogue. 2 But the person who pass through the door, he the shepherd for the sheep. 3 The person who minding the door can open the door for him, and the sheep dem can listen to his voice. He can call the sheep dem by their name and he can carry them outside. 4 When he bring all his sheep outside, he can go in front of them, and the sheep dem can follow him because they know his voice. 5 They will never follow any stranger, but they will run away from him because they not know stranger voice.” 6 Jesus use this example to talk to them, but the Jews not understand what he wor telling them.
7 So Jesus tell them again: “To tell yor the truth, I the door the sheep dem can pass through. 8 All the people who na come and pretend to be me, da rogue. But the sheep not listen to them. 9 I the door. Anybody who pass through me to enter to the place the sheep dem eh will be save, and da person will go inside and outside and find food. 10 The only time the rogue can come to the house da to steal and kill and destroy. I na come so they can get life and continue living. 11 I the good shepherd. The good shepherd willing to give his life* to save the sheep. 12 The man who they pay to take care of the sheep, he not shepherd and the sheep not for him. When he see the wolf coming, he can leave the sheep behind and run away. And the wolf can come and carry some of the sheep dem and the other one dem can scatter. 13 He run away because they paying him to take care of the sheep and he not really care for them. 14 I the good shepherd. I know my sheep dem and my sheep dem know me. 15 Da the same way the Father know me and I know the Father, and I willing to die to save the sheep dem.
16 “And I get other sheep dem da not part of this group. I will bring them inside too, and they will listen to my voice. All of them will be one group of sheep, and they will get one shepherd. 17 Da the reason why the Father love me because I willing to give my life* so da I can get it back. 18 Nobody can take it from me, but I myself give my life. I get the right to give it and I get the right to get it back. Da my Father give me this commandment.”
19 The Jews dem not agree with each other again because of the thing dem he say. 20 Plenty of them wor saying: “He get demon and he crazy. Why yor can listen to him?” 21 Some of them say: “Somebody da get demon can’t say this kindna thing dem. You think demon can make people to see?”
22 Da time the Jews dem wor having the celebration to give the temple to God in Jerusalem.* It wor the cold season, 23 and Jesus wor walking in the area of the temple they call Sol′o·mon colonnade. 24 Then the Jews came around him and started asking him: “When you will tell us* the truth about yourself? If you the Christ, make it clear to us.” 25 Jesus tell them say: “I tell yor, but still yor not believe me. The thing dem I can do in my Father name can talk about me. 26 But yor not believe it, because yor not my sheep. 27 My sheep dem can listen to my voice. I know them and they can follow me. 28 I will give them everlasting life, and they will never be destroy, and nobody will take them from me.* 29 Those who my Father na give me important pass all the other thing dem, and nobody can take them from my Father.* 30 Me and the Father we one.”*
31 The Jews dem pick up rock again to chunk him. 32 Jesus tell them say: “I na show yor plenty good-good thing dem da come from my Father. So which one of them yor want chunk me for?” 33 The Jews dem tell him say: “We want chunk you because you talking against God, and not because of any good work. Even though you human being, you say you like God.” 34 Jesus tell them say: “Ehn they write this thing in your Law, ‘God say: “You gods”’?* 35 God call this people dem gods who his word condemn, and still da one not make the scripture to not get any value. 36 But the Father made me holy and send me in the world. So how come yor say, ‘You talking against God,’ because I say, ‘I God Son’? 37 If I not doing the thing dem my Father want me to do, don’t believe me. 38 But if I doing this thing dem, even though yor not believe me, believe the thing dem I doing. So da yor can understand and continue believing da I united with the Father and the Father united with me.” 39 So they try to grab him again, but he run away from them.
40 And he went across the Jordan River again to the place where John wor baptizing people before, and he stay there. 41 And plenty people came to him and started saying: “John not perform any sign, but all the thing dem John say about this man da true.” 42 And plenty people who wor there put faith in him.
