To the Romans
11 So I ask, God say he not want his people dem again? No! I myself I Israelite. I from Abraham family line, and I coming from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God not say he not want his people who he choose first. Yor not know about what the scripture say about E·liʹjah, when he pray and complain to God about the Israelite dem? 3 “Jehovah,* they na kill your prophet dem, they na destroy your altar dem, and da only me remain, and now they trying to kill me too.” 4 But wetin God tell him? He say, “I still get 7,000 men dem who not kneel down to worship Baʹal.” 5 Da the same way it looking today. God still get small group of people da remain, and he na choose them because of his special kindness. 6 So this one mean da he choose them because of his special kindness, and not because of what they do. If he wor coming choose them because they work, then it wor not coming to be because of his special kindness.
7 So wetin we can say? The Israelite dem never get the thing they really wanted. But the people dem who God choose da they the one get it. But all the other people dem not listen 8 just how the Scriptures say: “God na make them to be like people who in deep sleep, and up to now their eyes can’t see and their ears can’t hear.” 9 And David hisself say: “Let their table be like trap for them and let it be like rock da they will stump their foot on and let it be punishment for them. 10 Let them get blind so da they can’t see, and they mon always carry heavy load.”
11 So I ask them: You think they stump their foot and fall down and they wor not able to get up again? No! But because of their sin, God save people from different nations to make them jealous. 12 Now their sin na bring plenty blessing to the world. When they get small in number, it bring plenty blessing to people from different nations. So the blessing will even be more when he bring all of them together!
13 I talking to yor, yor who from different nation dem. I really value the work I can do for God because I apostle to the nation dem. 14 I also hope da some kindna way, I can make my own people to feel jealous about what yor na get so da some of them can be save. 15 If some people in the world can get friendship with God because God throw the Israelite dem away, what will happen if he accept the Israelite dem back? It will be like bringing them back to life. 16 If part of the bread they offer first to God holy, then the whole bread also holy. And if the root holy, then the branch dem also holy.
17 But God break some of the branch dem from the tree. Then he join you to the other branch dem, even though you wor olive tree from the bush. Then you started benefiting from the good-good thing dem da come from the olive tree root. 18 But you mon not think da you better pass the other branch dem. If you think you better, you mon remember da, da not you supporting the root but da the root supporting you. 19 And you will say: “God break some of the branch dem so da he can join me to the olive tree.” 20 Da true! Da because they wor not having faith da why God break them from on the olive tree. But you standing because of your faith. Don’t think say you better pass them. So you mon be careful. 21 If God not feel sorry for the real branch dem, then God will not feel sorry for you too. 22 So you see, God kind and he can also punish people. He can punish people who stop worshiping him. But if you continue doing the thing dem da will make him happy, he will be kind to you. If you not do it, he will break you from on the olive tree. 23 And if the Jews start showing faith, God will bring them back and join them to the tree, because he able to join them to the tree again. 24 God na cut you from the olive tree da in the bush. He join you to the olive tree da they plant in the garden even though da not the normal way to do it. So if he can do it then it will be easy for him to join the real branch dem to the olive tree again!
25 So my brother dem, I want yor to know this holy secret so da yor will not think say yor get sense: Some of the Israelite dem na get hardhead. It will be like da until God bring all the people dem he na choose from the other nation dem together, 26 and da how God will save all the Israelite dem. Just how they write it in the Scriptures: “The person who will save Israel will come from Zion and he will help Jacob children dem to stop doing bad-bad thing dem. 27 And da this agreement I will make with them when I forgive their sins.” 28 Da true, they enemy to the good news and this one benefit yor. But God choose them and he love them because of their great grandpa dem. 29 God will not regret the thing dem he na give, and he will not regret choosing the people dem he na choose. 30 And yor never use to obey God, but God feel sorry for yor because the Jews not obey him. 31 So they not obey God and God feel sorry for yor. But he will also feel sorry for them just how he feel sorry for yor. 32 God na allow everybody to not obey him so da he can feel sorry for all of them.
33 God blessing, wisdom and the thing dem he know really plenty! Nobody can really understand the way he can judge and nobody can really know the thing dem he can do! 34 The Scriptures say: “Who know Jehovah* thinking, or who can tell him the right thing to do?” 35 Or, “who na give something to God first, so da God can pay him back?” 36 And everything coming from him and everything here because of him and everything for him. Praise God forever and ever. Amen.
