Acts (The Things the Apostle Dem Do)
5 One man name wor An·a·ni′as, and his wife name wor Sap·phi′ra. Two of them sell their land. 2 But he hide some of the money and his wife knew about it. And he just bring part of it and give it to the apostle dem. 3 But Peter tell him say: “An·a·ni′as, why you allow Satan to control you to lie to the holy spirit, and you hide some of the money da you got from the land? 4 Before you sell the land, ehn it wor for you? And after you sell it, ehn the money wor still for you? So why you decide in your heart to do this kindna thing? Da not human being you lie to, but you lie to God.” 5 When An·a·ni′as hear this thing dem, he fall down and die. And all the people dem who hear about it wor scare bad way. 6 Then the young men dem came, wrap his body in cloths, and carry him outside to bury him.
7 And after three hours his wife came, but she never knew what happen. 8 Peter ask her: “Da all the money here da two of yor get from the land yor sell?” She say: “Yes, da everything.” 9 So Peter ask her: “Why two of yor plan to lie to Jehovah* spirit? See! The people who bury your husband standing to the door, and they will also carry you.” 10 Right away she fall down in front of Peter and die. When the young men dem who went to bury her husband enter, they saw da she already na die and they carry her body outside and bury her near her husband. 11 So all the disciple dem in Jerusalem and all the people dem who hear about this thing dem wor really scare.
12 Also, the apostle dem continue to perform signs and do wonderful thing dem among the people. And they use to meet together in the place they call Sol′o·mon Colonnade. 13 Da true, nobody from among the other people wor brave to join them, but still people wor talking good-good thing dem about them. 14 Plenty men and women believe in the Lord and join them to be disciples. 15 They even carry the sick people on the main road and lay them on small-small bed and mat. They do it so da when Peter passing, his shadow can get on some of them and heal them. 16 Also, plenty people from the city dem around Jerusalem continue coming to the apostle dem. They wor bringing sick people and people who wor having wicked spirit, and they heal all of them.
17 But the high priest, and all the people who wor with him da wor part of the group they call the Sadducees stand up, and they wor really jealous. 18 And they arrest the apostle dem and put them in jail. 19 But in the night, Jehovah* angel open the jail house doors, and bring them outside and say: 20 “Yor go and stand in the temple, and yor continue to tell people about the future life.” 21 After they hear this one, they enter the temple when daybreak and they started to teach.
When the high priest and the people da wor with him came, they call the San′he·drin and all the elder dem for the people in Israel together. And they send people to the jail house to bring the apostles in front of them. 22 But when the officer dem reach there, they not see the apostle dem in the jail house. So they went back and tell the people. 23 They say: “The jail wor lock good-good, and the bodyguard dem wor standing to the doors, but when we open it, we not see anybody inside.” 24 When the leader for the people who wor minding the temple and the chief priest dem hear this one, they wor really confuse about what will happen because of this. 25 But somebody came and tell them say: “See! The men dem yor put in jail standing in the temple and teaching the people.” 26 Then the leader for the people who wor minding the temple went with his officer dem and bring the apostle dem. But they not force them because they wor scare da the people will chunk them with rock.
27 So they bring them and stand them in front of the San′he·drin. And the high priest ask them some questions. 28 He say: “We give yor strong warning to stop teaching about this name. But see! yor teaching na spread all over Jerusalem, and yor really want blame us for this man death.”* 29 Peter and the other apostle dem say: “God da the ruler we suppose to obey and not human being. 30 The God for our great grandpa dem na bring Jesus back to life, who yor kill when yor hang him on the stake.* 31 God na give him big position to sit down on his right hand side. And he choose him to save people and give them life. God do this one so da the people in Israel can repent and for him to forgive their sins. 32 We saw this thing dem, and also the holy spirit da God na give to the people who obey him as ruler na help us to talk about this thing dem.”
33 When they hear this thing dem, they got vex bad way and they wanted to kill the apostle dem. 34 But one Pharisee who name wor Ga·ma′li·el stand up in the San′he·drin. He use to teach the Law and all the people wor having deep respect for him. He tell them to put the apostle dem outside small. 35 Then he tell them say: “People of Israel, yor be careful about what yor want do to this men dem. 36 For example, sometime ago Theu′das came and say he wor somebody, and the people da follow him wor around 400. But some people kill him. And the people who wor following him scatter and nobody see them again. 37 After him, Judas who from Gal·i·lee′ make people to follow him the time they wor registering people. Da man also die, and all the people dem who wor following him scatter. 38 So seeing all the thing dem da happening, I advise yor to leave this men dem alone. Yor mon not stop them because if their plan or the work they doing coming from human being, it will end. 39 But if the thing dem they doing from God, yor will not be able to stop them. But if yor not listen, maybe yor will see yourself fighting against God hisself.” 40 So they take his advice, and call the apostle dem, flog them, and give them strong warning to stop talking about Jesus name, and they let them go.
41 So the apostle dem left from in front of the San′he·drin, and they wor really happy because God allow them to suffer for talking about Jesus name. 42 And every day in the temple and from house to house they continue without stopping, teaching people and preaching the good news about Jesus who the Christ.
