The Thing Dem Da Luke Write
16 Then Jesus also tell his disciple dem say: “One rich man wor having slave.* People tell him da his slave wor not taking good care of his property dem. 2 So the rich man call him and ask him, ‘What kindna news I hearing about you? Go bring the record for everything you na do, because you not fit to take care of my house again.’ 3 Then the slave tell his self say, ‘Wetin I will do, the way my master coming take me from my position? I not really strong to work on the farm, and I shame to go beg. 4 Enhen! I know wetin I will do, so da when my master move me from my position, people will welcome me in their house.’ 5 And he call all the people dem da wor owing his master, he tell the first one say, ‘How much you owing my master?’ 6 He tell him say, ‘600 gallons of olive oil.’ The slave tell him say, ‘Take your agreement back, sit down and write 300 quick-quick.’ 7 Then the slave tell the other one say, ‘How about you, how much you owing?’ He say, ‘One hundred bag of wheat.’* The slave tell him say, ‘Take your agreement back and write 80.’ 8 Even though the slave not do the right thing, his master praise him because he act wise. I tell yor this one because the people dem in this world* wise more than God people* when it come to how they deal with other people.
9 “Also, I tell yor say: Use the money in this world to make friends, so da when the money finish, they can welcome you to the place where people will live forever. 10 The person who faithful to God in small things will also be faithful to him in big things, but the person who not faithful to God in small things will also not be faithful to him in big things. 11 So if you not show da you faithful by the way you use the riches from this wicked world, who will trust you with the thing dem da really get value? 12 And if you not show da you faithful when you taking care of other people property, who will give you something for yourself? 13 Nobody can be slave for two masters, because he will hate one and love the other one, or he will serve one with his whole heart and he will not get any respect for the other one. So you can’t be slave for God and for money.”
14 Then the Pharisee dem, who like money business, wor listening to all this thing dem, and they started making fun out of him. 15 So he tell them say: “Da yor the one can make other people think da yor good in God eyes, but God know what in your heart. Because what people can look at to be important not get any value in God eyes.
16 “People use to talk about the Law and the things the prophet dem write until John came. But from da time, da the good news about God Kingdom they start talking about, and all kindna people fighting hard to enter it. 17 Yes, it more easy for heaven and earth to pass away than for one letter to move from in the Law until everything happen.
18 “Anybody who divorce his wife and marry different woman commit adultery, and anybody who marry woman they divorce like this, commit adultery.*
19 “One rich man use to wear purple clothes and linen clothes, and he use to enjoy hisself with so-so good-good thing dem everyday. 20 But they use to carry one beggar name Laz′a·rus to the rich man gate. He wor having so-so sore on him 21 and he use to want eat the food da fall down from the rich man table. And even the dog dem use to come and lick his sore. 22 After some time the beggar die, and the angel dem carry him near Abraham.
“Also, the rich man die and they bury him. 23 And when he wor suffering in the Grave* he look up and saw Abraham from far off, and Laz′a·rus wor near him. 24 So he shout and say, ‘My pa Abraham, feel sorry for me, and send Laz′a·rus to put the tip of his finger in water and drop it on my tongue. Because I really suffering in this fire da blazing.’ 25 But Abraham say, ‘My son, remember the time you wor living, you enjoy plenty good-good thing dem, but Laz′a·rus really suffer. And now, he getting comfort here, but you suffering. 26 Beside all this one, big space between you and us. And people who want move from here to come to you not able, and people not able to cross from your side to come to us.’ 27 Then he say, ‘My pa Abraham, if da it, then I beg you, send Laz′a·rus to my pa house. 28 Because I get five brothers, so he can explain to them so da they can’t come to the place I eh to suffer too.’ 29 But Abraham tell him say, ‘They get Moses and the Prophet dem, let them listen to them.’ 30 Then he say, ‘No, my pa Abraham, they will not listen, but if somebody who die and come back to life go talk to them, they will change.’ 31 But Abraham tell him say, ‘If they not listen to Moses and the other Prophet dem, they will still not believe somebody who die and come back to life.’”
