The First Letter Da Paul Write to the Corinthians
1 This letter from Paul, who Jesus Christ call to be apostle because da what God want, and Sosʹthe·nes our brother with me. 2 I writing to God congregation da in Corinth, to yor who God na make holy to follow Jesus Christ. Da yor God na call to be brother dem* with all the other people all over who putting their trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. He their Lord and he our Lord.
3 Let our God and Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give yor peace, and let their special kindness be on yor.
4 I can always tell my God thank you for the special kindness he na give yor because yor following Jesus Christ. 5 God na really bless yor for everything because yor united with Jesus, and he na make yor to know how to talk and to know plenty thing dem. 6 So yor believe the message about the Christ good-good, 7 and this one na make yor to get all the thing dem yor need, and yor really waiting for our Lord Jesus Christ to show his power. 8 He will also make yor to always be strong so da nobody can say bad thing about yor until the day our Lord Jesus Christ will come. 9 God faithful, and da he the one choose yor to be united with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
10 My brother dem, I beg yor in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to agree on the thing dem yor will say. Yor mon not divide yourself in different-different groups, but yor mon really be united in your thinking and get one mind. 11 My brother dem, some people from Chloʹe house na tell me about yor. They say yor can be arguing among yourself. 12 I say this one because, some of yor say: “I for Paul,” some of yor say, “I for A·polʹlos,” some of yor say, “I for Ceʹphas,”* and still some of yor say, “I for Christ.” 13 Yor think Christ congregation divide in different-different groups? Da Paul they kill on the stake for yor? Or they baptize yor in Paul name? 14 Beside Crisʹpus and Gaʹius, I thank God I not baptize any of yor, 15 so da nobody can say yor wor baptize in my name. 16 Da true, I also baptize the people dem from Stephʹa·nas house. But for the other people dem, I not know whether I baptize any of them. 17 Christ not send me to baptize people, but he send me to preach the good news. And I can’t use big-big words to do this one so da the way Christ die on the torture stake* can’t be for nothing.
18 The message about the torture stake* can’t make sense to the people dem who will be destroy, but the message da God power to we who will be save. 19 Because the Scriptures say: “I will destroy the wisdom of the people dem who get sense, and I will not accept the wisdom of the people dem who know book.” 20 Where the person who get sense? Where the person who really know the Law? Where the person who can argue in this world?* Ehn God na make the wisdom in this world to be foolish? 21 Since the people dem in this world trust in their own wisdom, they never get to know God. But God show his wisdom by saving the people dem who believe in the message we can preach, and his wisdom da something foolish to the people dem da in this world.
22 The Jews can ask for miracles and the Greek people can look for wisdom, 23 but for us, we can preach about how they kill Christ on the stake. This one can make the Jews vex but it can sound foolish to the nation dem. 24 But to the Jews and the Greek people who God na choose, Christ da God power and God wisdom to them. 25 Because the thing dem from God da people can look at to be foolish, get sense more than people. And the thing dem from God da people can look at to be weak, strong more than people.
26 My brother dem, yourself yor know da plenty of yor who God na choose, the world look at yor to be people who not get sense, who not get power, and who not from important family. 27 But God na choose the foolish thing dem in the world to make the people who get sense to be shame, and He na choose the weak people dem in the world to make the strong people dem shame. 28 God na choose the thing dem da not important in this world and the thing dem da people can overlook. He also na choose the thing dem da people look at to be nothing, so da he can make the thing dem da important to people to be nothing. 29 God do this one so da nobody can boast in front of him. 30 But da because of him yor united with Jesus Christ who na give yor wisdom from God. Da through Christ, God na make us to be righteous and to be holy people, and he na use the ransom to free us. 31 So da it can happen just how the Scriptures say it: “The person who can boast, mon boast in Jehovah.”*
