The Thing Dem Da John Write
7 After this one, Jesus continue preaching in Gal′i·lee, and he never wanted to go to Ju·de′a because the Jews wanted to kill him. 2 But the Jews Festival they call Tabernacles* wor near. 3 So his brother dem tell him say: “Go to Ju·de′a so da your disciple dem can also see the thing dem you doing. 4 Because nobody can do anything in secret if they want people to know them. If you doing this thing dem, show yourself to the world.” 5 His brother dem wor not showing faith in him. 6 So Jesus tell them say: “My time not reach yet, but yor can go to the festival anytime. 7 The world not get any reason to hate yor. But it hate me because I telling people about the wicked thing dem the world can do. 8 Yor go to the festival. For me I not ready to go to the festival, because my time not reach yet.” 9 So when he tell them this thing dem, he stay in Gal′i·lee.
10 But when his brother dem went to the festival, he went too. But he not let people to see him. 11 So the Jews started looking for him to the festival and they say: “Where place da man eh?” 12 And plenty people wor talking small-small about him among theirself. Some of them say: “He good man.” Other people say: “He not good. He can fool the people.” 13 But nobody wor able to talk about him in front of other people because they wor scare of the Jews.
14 Almost four days after the festival start, Jesus went to the temple and started teaching. 15 And the Jews wor really surprise. They say: “How this man know this plenty thing dem about the Scriptures when he not attend any of the school dem?”* 16 Then Jesus tell them say: “The thing dem I can teach not from me, but it from God who send me. 17 If anybody want do what God want, he will know whether the thing dem I can teach people coming from God, or da my own idea. 18 The person who can say his own thing can want for people to praise him. But anybody who want people to praise the person who send him, da person can talk the truth, and he can do the right thing. 19 Moses give yor the Law, ehn da true? But nobody among yor can obey the Law. So why yor looking for way to kill me?” 20 Then the people tell him say: “You get demon. Who looking for way to kill you?” 21 Then Jesus tell them say: “Only one miracle I perform, and all of yor surprise. 22 Since yor surprise, look at the Law Moses give yor to circumcise your children. The Law wor not from Moses, but it wor from your great grandpa dem. And yor can circumcise your children on the Sabbath Day. 23 If yor can circumcise your children on the Sabbath Day to not break Moses Law, why yor vex bad way because I heal somebody on the Sabbath Day? 24 Yor stop judging by the thing dem yor can see, but yor mon judge the right way.”
25 Then some people from Jerusalem started to say: “Ehn da the man who they looking for to kill here? 26 But see! he talking among plenty people, and they not say anything to him. The ruler dem really know now da he the Christ? 27 For us we know where place this man coming from. But when the Christ come, nobody will know where place he coming from.” 28 Then when Jesus wor teaching in the temple, he talk with loud voice and say: “Yor know me and yor know the place I coming from. I not come on my own, but the Person who send me real, and yor not know him. 29 I know him because I his messenger, and He send me.” 30 So they started looking for way to catch him. But nobody touch him because his time not reach yet. 31 Still, plenty people wor putting faith in him, and they wor saying: “The Christ will perform plenty miracles when he come, ehn da just what this man doing?”
32 The Pharisee dem hear the people talking this thing dem about him. And the chief priests and the Pharisee dem send officers to arrest him. 33 Jesus tell them say: “I will be with yor for some time before I go back to the Person who send me. 34 Yor will look for me, but yor will not find me, and the place I going, yor can’t come there.” 35 So the Jews wor saying among theirself: “Where place this man want go before he say we will not find him? He thinking about going to the Jews da living among the Greek people, so da he can teach the Greek people? 36 What he mean when he say, ‘Yor will look for me, but yor will not find me, and the place I going, yor can’t come there’?”
37 On the last day, the important day for the festival, Jesus stand up and talk with loud voice. He say: “If anybody thirsty, let him come to me and I will give him water to drink. 38 Anybody who put faith in me, just how the scripture say: ‘Plenty water da can give life will come from deep in his heart.’” 39 But Jesus wor talking about the spirit da people who put faith in him wor coming to receive. Da time nobody receive the spirit, because Jesus not receive his high position yet. 40 Some of the people dem hear the thing dem he say and they started saying: “Da the Prophet here for true.” 41 Other people wor saying: “Da the Christ here.” But some people wor saying: “The Christ not suppose to come from Gal′i·lee, ehn da true? 42 Ehn the scripture say the Christ will come from David family line and from Beth′le·hem, the village where David came from?” 43 So because of him the people not agree with each other. 44 Some of them wanted to arrest him, but nobody touch him.
45 Then the officer dem went back. And the chief priests and Pharisees ask them: “Why yor not arrest him and bring him?” 46 The officer dem say: “We never hear anybody talking like this before.” 47 Then the Pharisee dem say: “He na fool yor too? 48 Nobody among the ruler dem or the Pharisees na put faith in him, ehn da true? 49 Only this people who not know the Law believe in him, and swear behind them.” 50 Nic·o·de′mus who came to Jesus before and who wor one of the Pharisees tell them say: 51 “Our Law say if we want judge somebody, we mon hear from the person first so da we can know what he na do, ehn da true?” 52 Then they tell him say: “The way you backing him, it just like you from Gal′i·lee too. Check the Scriptures and you will see da no prophet suppose to come from Gal′i·lee.”*
