STUDY PROJECT
How to bear Injustice?
Read Genesis 37:23-28; 39:17-23 to learn from Joseph example about how he bear injustice.
Study the context. Why other people not treat Joseph fair? (Gen. 37:3-11; 39:1, 6-10) How long Joseph bear injustice? (Gen. 37:2; 41:46) During that time, wetin Jehovah do for Joseph, but wetin He not do?—Gen. 39:2, 21; w23.01 17 ¶13.
Do deep research. The Bible not tell us whether Joseph try to explain his side of the story when Potiphar wife lie on him. How the following scriptures can help us to think about why Joseph choose to not say anything, or why we must not expect the Bible to tell us everything that happen? (Prov. 20:2; John 21:25; Acts 21:37) What qualities maybe help Joseph to bear injustice?—Mic. 7:7; Luke 14:11; Jas. 1:2, 3.
What the lessons? Ask yourself:
‘Because I Jesus disciple, what injustice I can expect to face?’ (Luke 21:12, 16, 17; Heb. 10:33, 34)
‘What I can do now-now, that will help me to be able to bear injustice?’ (Ps. 62:7, 8; 105:17-19; w19.07 2-7)
