Among Jacob 12 sons, Joseph wor the second to the last born. His big brother dem knew da their pa use to like Joseph more than all of them. How you think they wor feeling? They wor jealous of Joseph and they use to hate him. Joseph have some kindna dream, and he tell his brother dem about it. They wor thinking the dream mean da one day they will bow down to Joseph. And da one make them to hate him even more!

One day, Joseph brother dem wor taking care of the sheep near the city they call Shechem. Jacob send Joseph to go see how his brother dem wor doing. When they see Joseph coming from far off, they start telling each other: ‘Joseph the dreamer coming. Let kill him!’ So they grab him and throw him in one deep hole. But one of his brother they call Judah say: ‘Yor mon not kill him! Let just sell him so he can be slave.’ So they sell Joseph for 20 pieces of silver to the Midianite business people who wor going to Egypt.

Then Joseph brother dem kill one goat and put his clothes in the blood and send it to their pa, and they say: ‘Da not your son clothes here?’ So Jacob wor thinking da one big animal na kill Joseph. He wor really feeling bad. And nobody wor able to comfort him.

They sell Joseph to one big man in Egypt name Potiphar. But Jehovah wor with Joseph. Potiphar see da Joseph really use to do his work good and he wor somebody people can trust. It not stay long, Potiphar make Joseph to control everything he wor having.

Potiphar wife notice da Joseph wor fine and strong. Every day she use to tell Joseph to lay down with her. Wetin Joseph do? He not agree and he say: ‘No! It not good. My master trust me, and you his wife. If I lay down with you, I will be sinning against God!’

One day, Potiphar wife wor trying to force Joseph to lay down with her. She grab his clothes, but he run away. When Potiphar come back home, she say Joseph wanted to rape her. But she wor lying. Potiphar got vex bad way, and he put Joseph in jail. But Jehovah not forget about Joseph.

When Joseph wor in jail, Pharaoh the king for Egypt dream and nobody wor able to explain it. So, one of his servants tell him da Joseph able to explain his dreams. Right away Pharaoh send for Joseph.

Pharaoh ask Joseph say: ‘You able to explain my dreams?’ Then Joseph tell Pharaoh say: ‘Egypt will get plenty food for seven years, but after the seven years food business will be hard for the next seven years. Choose somebody who wise to keep plenty food, so your people dem can’t die from hunger.’ Then Pharaoh tell him say: ‘I choose you! You will be the second most powerful man in Egypt!’ How you think Joseph manage to know the meaning for Pharaoh dreams? Da Jehovah help Joseph.

Joseph keep plenty food for the next seven years. After da, food business wor hard all over the earth just how Joseph say it. People use to come from all over to buy food from Joseph. When his pa Jacob hear da food wor in Egypt, he send ten of his sons to go buy food.

Jacob sons went to Joseph, as soon Joseph see them, he knew straight they wor his brothers. But his brother dem not know da wor Joseph. They bow down to him just how he dream about it when he wor young. But Joseph wanted to know whether his brother dem wor still having bad heart. So he tell them say: ‘Yor come spy on our country. Yor want know our country weak point.’ Then they say: ‘No! We from Canaan and we 12 brothers. One of our brother na die and our small brother with our pa.’ Then Joseph tell them say: ‘Yor go bring yor small brother to me, then I will believe yor.’ So they go back to their pa.

When their food finish again, Jacob send them back to Egypt. When they wor going, they carry their small brother Benjamin with them. Joseph wanted to test his brother dem, so he hide his silver cup in the food bag Benjamin wor having. Then he say his brother dem steal his cup. When the people who wor working for Joseph find the cup in Benjamin bag, his brother dem mouth wor full. So they beg Joseph to punish them instead of Benjamin.

It wor clear to Joseph da his brother dem na change. Joseph wor not able to hide his feeling again. So he start crying, then he say: ‘I yor brother Joseph. My pa still living?’ His brother dem wor not able to say anything. Then he tell them say: ‘Yor mon not feel bad because of the thing yor do to me. God send me here to save yor life. So yor make it quick-quick and go for my pa.’

So they go home and tell their pa the good news and carry him to Egypt. After plenty years pass, Joseph and his pa wor together again.
