The Israelite dem move from Mount Sinai. They pass through the desert they call Paran to go to the place they call Kadesh. Then Jehovah tell Moses say: ‘Send 12 men, one from each tribe, to go spy on Canaan, the land da I will give to the Israelite dem.’ So Moses choose 12 men and he tell them say: ‘Yor go to Canaan to find out whether the land good and if food can grow there. Yor mon see whether the people da living there strong or weak, and whether they living in tents or in city.’ Joshua and Caleb wor among the 12 men dem da go spy on Canaan.
After 40 days, the 12 men dem came back with figs, pomegranates, and grapes. Then they say: ‘The land good, but the people da living there strong and the city dem get high fence.’ Then Caleb say: ‘We able to conquer them. Yor let go now-now!’ You know why Caleb say da one? Because he and Joshua trust in Jehovah. But the other ten men dem say: ‘No! The people da living there big-big just like giants! And we wor looking just like grasshoppers when we stand near them.’
The Israelite dem wor feeling bad. Then they started complaining and saying to each other: ‘Let choose different leader and go back to Egypt. Why we mon go to this place and they kill us?’ Joshua and Caleb say: ‘Yor mon not disobey Jehovah, and yor mon not be scare. Jehovah will protect us.’ But the Israelite dem not listen. They even wanted to kill Joshua and Caleb!
Wetin Jehovah do? He tell Moses say: ‘After all the thing I na do for the Israelite dem, they still not want obey me. So they will stay in the wilderness for 40 years, and da the place they will die. Only their children and Joshua and Caleb will live in the land da I promise to give them.’

LESSON 27
They Challenge Jehovah
After sometime pass, when the Israelite dem wor still in the wilderness, Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and 250 other people challenge Moses. They tell him say: ‘We tire with you now! Why you mon be our leader and Aaron be the high priest? Jehovah with all of us, da not only you and Aaron.’ Jehovah wor not happy. It wor like they wor challenging him!
So Moses tell Korah and all the people da wor following him: ‘Tomorrow yor mon come to the tabernacle, and bring your fire holders full up with incense. Jehovah will show us who he na choose.’
The next day, Korah and the 250 men dem went to meet Moses to the tabernacle. Then they burn incense just like they wor priests. Then Jehovah tell Moses and Aaron say: ‘Yor move from among Korah and his men dem.’
Even though Korah went to Moses to the tabernacle, but Dathan, Abiram, and their family refuse to go. Jehovah tell the Israelite dem to move from side Korah, Dathan, and Abiram tents. The Israelite dem move from there quick-quick. Dathan, Abiram, and their family stand outside their tents. Right away, the ground open and swallow them! To the tabernacle, fire come down and burn Korah and his 250 men dem.
Then Jehovah tell Moses say: ‘Take one stick from all the leader dem from each tribe, and write their name on it. But the stick from the Levi tribe, write Aaron name on it. Put the stick dem inside the tabernacle, and the person I will choose, flower will grow on their stick.’
The next day, Moses bring all the stick dem and show it to the leader dem. Flower wor growing on Aaron stick and it wor having ripe almonds on it. In this way, Jehovah wor showing da he na choose Aaron to be the high priest.
