The women dem wor surprise when they see Jesus tomb empty

LESSON 91

Ziizɛ Wu-Ziɣini Saa Ya

After Jesus die, one rich man they call Joseph ask Pilate to allow him to take Jesus body down from the stake. Joseph wrap Jesus body in fine cloth and put the thing dem they can put on dead body and lay him in one new tomb. Then he roll one heavy rock in front of the tomb. The chief priest dem tell Pilate say: ‘We scare that some of Jesus disciple dem will take his body and say he na come back to life.’ So Pilate tell them say: ‘Yor close the tomb and mind it.’

Three days later, soon in the morning, some women dem go to the tomb and they find out that the big rock wor not in front the tomb again. One angel that wor in the tomb tell the women dem say: ‘Yor must not be scare. Jesus na come back to life. Yor go tell the disciple dem to go meet him in Galilee.’

Mary Magdalene go quick-quick to find Peter and John. She tell them say: ‘Someone na take Jesus body!’ Peter and John run back to the tomb. When they see that it wor empty, they go back home.

When Mary go back to the tomb, she see two angels inside. Then she tell them say: ‘I not know where they carry my Lord.’ Then she see one man, and she wor thinking, that the man who wor taking care of the garden. She say: ‘Sir, please tell me where you carry him.’ But when the man say, “Mary!” she knew now that he wor Jesus. She cry and say: “Teacher!” then she hold him. Jesus tell her say: ‘Go tell my brother dem that you na see me.’ Right away, Mary run to the disciple dem and tell them that she na see Jesus.

Later on in the day, two disciples wor walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus. One man join them on the road and ask them, wetin yor talking about. Then they say: ‘You not hear the news yet? Three days ago, the chief priest dem kill Jesus. Now some women dem talking say he na come back to life!’ The man ask them: ‘Yor not believe the prophet dem? They say that the Christ will die and come back to life.’ He continue to explain the Scriptures to them. When they reach Emmaus, the disciples ask the man to come with them. In the evening, after he pray over the bread, they got to know that he wor Jesus. Then he disappear.

The two disciples go quick-quick to the house in Jerusalem where the other apostle dem wor eh, and they tell them what happen. While they wor inside the house, Jesus appear to all of them. First, the apostle dem not believe that it wor Jesus. Then he tell them say: ‘Yor look at my hands, touch me. They write it in the scriptures that the Christ will come back to life.’
