23 One of the disciples, the one whom Jesus loved,+ was reclining close to* Jesus.

26 So when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved+ standing nearby, he said to his mother: “Woman, see! Your son!”

24 This is the disciple+ who gives this witness about these things and who wrote these things, and we know that his witness is true.
