(UMakho 15:3-5) Abaphristi abakhulu bamethesa amacala amanengi. 4 Ngakho uPhilathu wambuza njalo wathi, “Kanti kungani ungaphenduli na? Khangela, bakubeka amacala amanengi.” 5 Kodwa uJesu wala elokhu ethule, uPhilathu wamangala.

Kanti njalo ukuthi uJohane wabhala eminyakeni eminengi phambili futhi wakhuluma isikhathi esitshiyeneyo loMakho kutshengisa ukuthi kazange athathe lokho okwakubhalwe nguMakho.

(UMakho 16:8) Abesifazana baphuma bethuthumela njalo bedidekile bebaleka ethuneni. Kabazange batsho ulutho lakubani ngokuba babesesaba.

ngokuba babesesaba: Ngokwalokho okusemibhalweni yakudala ingxenye yokucina yeVangeli likaMakho iphetha ngamazwi akuvesi 8. Abanye bathi isiphetho lesi siphelela emoyeni okokuthi asingeke sibe yiso esasivele sikhona ekuqaleni. Kodwa uMakho wayebhala efitshanisa yikho lokho abakutshoyo akusebenzi kangako. Kanti njalo izikhwicamfundo ezaphila eminyakeni engaba ngu-300 uJesu efile uJerome lo-Eusebius zitshengisa ukuthi umbhalo lo uphetha ngamazwi athi, “ngokuba babesesaba.”

Ikhona eminye imibhalo yesiGrikhi kanye lamanye amaBhayibhili ahunyutshwe ngezinye izindimi angezelela isiphetho eside kumbe esifitshane ngemva kukavesi 8. Isiphetho eside (silamavesi angu-12) sitholakala kuCodex Alexandrinus, kuCodex Ephraemi Syri rescriptus, lakuCodex Bezae Cantabrigiensis, yonke imibhalo le yabhalwa eminyakeni engaba ngu-1 500 eyadlulayo. Siyatholakala futhi eBhayibhilini lesiLathini okuthiwa yi-Vulgate, kuCuretonian Syriac lakuSyriac Peshitta. Eminye imibhalo yesiGrikhi eyakhathesi kanye lehunyutshwe kwezinye izindimi ilesiphetho esifitshane (isiphetho lesi silemitsho emilutshwane). ICodex Regius eyabhalwa eminyakeni engaba ngu-1 200 eyadlulayo ileziphetho zombili, iqala ngesiphetho esifitshane. Yethula isiphetho ngasinye ngamabala atshengisa ukuthi izindima lezo zazisamukelwa futhi zisetshenziswa ngabanye abantu abadumileyo kodwa iyavuma ukuthi iziphetho lezi azisingxenye yemibhalo ephefumulelweyo.

ISIPHETHO ESIFITSHANE

Isiphetho esifitshane ngemva kukaMak 16:8 asikho eMibhalweni ephefumulelweyo. Sithi:

Kodwa zonke izinto ababezilayelwe bahamba bayotshela labo ababeseduze loPhetro. Kanti njalo ngemva kwalokho uJesu ngokwakhe wabathuma besuka empumalanga besiya entshonalanga ukuthi bamemezele ubungcwele kanye lokungaboli okuyinsindiso engapheliyo.

ISIPHETHO ESIDE

Isiphetho eside ngemva kukaMak 16:8 asikho eMibhalweni ephefumulelweyo. Sithi:

9 UJesu esevukile ekuseni ngelanga lokuqala evikini waqala wabonakala kuMariya Magadalena yena lowo ayekhuphe kuye amadimoni ayisikhombisa. 10 Yena wahamba wayabikela labo uJesu ayephile labo ababesesililweni sakhe. 11 Bathi besizwa ukuthi uJesu uyaphila lokuthi uMariya wayembonile, kabazange bakukholwe. 12 Ngemva kwalokho uJesu wabonakala ngesinye isimo kwababili babo abafica behamba kulelolizwe emaphandleni. 13 Labo babuyela bayabikela abanye; kodwa labo kabazange babakholwe. 14 Ngemva kwalokho uJesu wabonakala kwaBalitshumi lanye besidla; wabakhuza ngokungakholwa kwabo lokuphikisa kwabo besala ukukholwa labo ababembonile ngemva kokuvuka kwakhe. 15 Wathi kubo, “Hambani emhlabeni wonke litshumayele ivangeli kukho konke okwadalwayo. 16 Loba ngubani okholwayo abhaphathizwe uzasindiswa, kodwa lowo ongakholwayo uzalahlwa. 17 Lezi zibonakaliso zizabalandela labo abakholwayo: Ngebizo lami bazakhupha amadimoni; bazakhuluma ngezindimi ezintsha; 18 bazadobha izinyoka ngezandla zabo; bazakuthi banganatha okubulalayo kungaze kwabalimaza lakancinyane; bazabeka izandla zabo phezu kwabantu abagulayo, basile.”

19 Ngemva kokuba iNkosi uJesu esekhulume labo, wathathwa wakhwela waya ezulwini wahlala ngakwesokunene sikaNkulunkulu. 20 Abafundi bahamba bayatshumayela ezindaweni zonke, iNkosi yasebenza labo yaqinisa ilizwi layo ngezibonakaliso ezazilisekela.

(ULukha 1:38) UMariya waphendula wathi, “Ngiyincekukazi yeNkosi. Kakwenzeke kimi njengoba utshilo.” Ingilosi yasisuka kuye.

“Ngiyincekukazi YeNkosi”

12 Abantu abanengi abalokholo bayayazi impendulo yakhe elula etshengisa ukuthi wayethobekile futhi elalela. Wathi kuGabriyeli: “Ngiyincekukazi yeNkosi. Kakwenzeke kimi njengoba utshilo.” (Luk. 1:38) Incekukazi yayisisebenzi esiphansi kulazo zonke futhi impilo yayo yayisezandleni zenkosi yayo. UMariya laye wayebona uJehova eyiNkosi yakhe njalo wayekwazi ukuthi wayezamvikela. Wayekwazi lokuthi unguNkulunkulu othembekileyo kulabo abathembekileyo kanye lokuthi wayezambusisa angenza konke okusemandleni akhe ukuthi enze umsebenzi lo ayemuphe wona.—Hubo. 18:25.

(ULukha 1:46-55) UMariya wathi: “Umphefumulo wami uyayidumisa iNkosi 47 lomoya wami uyathokoza kuNkulunkulu uMsindisi wami, 48 ngokuba unanzile ubuphansi bencekukazi yakhe. Kusukela manje zonke izizukulwane zizakuthi ngibusisiwe, 49 ngokuba uSomandla ungenzele izinto ezinkulu—lingcwele ibizo lakhe. 50 Isihawu sakhe sifinyelela kulabo abamesabayo, kulandela isizukulwane ngesizukulwane. 51 Uyenzile imisebenzi emikhulu ngengalo yakhe: ubachithile labo abazigqajayo ekujuleni kwemicabango yabo. 52 Uwethule amakhosi ezihlalweni zawo kodwa wabaphakamisa abaphansi. 53 Ubagcwalisile abalambileyo ngezinto ezinhle kodwa abanothileyo ubaxotshile beze. 54 Uyisizile inceku yakhe u-Israyeli wakhumbula ukuba lesihawu 55 ku-Abhrahama lesizukulwane sakhe laphakade, njengoba wakutsho kubobaba bethu.”

“Ngiyincekukazi YeNkosi”

15 UMariya laye waphosa elakhe. Amazwi akhe agciniwe eLizwini likaNkulunkulu. (Bala uLukha 1:46-55.) Lapha uMariya wakhuluma okunengi, njalo amazwi akhe aveza lukhulu ngaye. Wadumisa uJehova ngokuthi wayesembusisile ngokumenza unina kaMesiya futhi lokhu kusitshengisa ukuthi wayengumuntu oqakathekisa akuphiwayo, ongadli esesulela phansi njengenkukhu. Kwakhanya ukuthi ukholo lwakhe lwaluzikile. Phela wathi uJehova uyabachitha abazigqajayo labalamandla njalo wathi uyabaphathisa abakhangelelwa phansi labayanga abafuna ukumkhonza. Amazwi akhe aphinda asitshengise ukuthi wayelolwazi olubanzi. Elinye ibhuku lithi lapho ekhuluma amazwi akhe akuLukha 1:46-55, wacaphuna okwezikhathi ezedlula 20 eMibhalweni yesiHebheru!

16 Lanxa uMariya wayeselazi kuhle iLizwi likaNkulunkulu, wazithoba wasebenzisa amazwi akulo. Kazange akhulume okwakuphuma ekhanda lakhe. Indodana yakhe eyayingakazalwa ngalesosikhathi layo yakwenza lokhu isikhulile. Yathi: “Imfundiso yami kayisiyami mina. Ivela kulowo ongithumileyo.” (Joh. 7:16) Kuqakathekile ukuthi lathi sizibuze umbuzo lo othi: ‘Ngiyalihlonipha yini iLizwi likaNkulunkulu njalo nginamathela kulo na, kumbe ngikhetha ukukhuluma eyami imibono loba engikucabangayo?’ Kuyakhanya ukuthi uMariya yena wayelihlonipha.

uphondo lwensindiso: Kumbe “umsindisi olamandla.” Izikhathi ezinengi eBhayibhilini impondo zezinyamazana zimela amandla lokunqoba. uzahamba phambili [kukaJehova, NW]: UJohane uMbhabhathizi ‘wayezahamba phambili kukaJehova’ okutsho ukuthi wayezabuya kuqala kuloJesu. UJesu wayezamela uYise njalo abuye ngebizo likaYise.—Joh 5:43; 8:29; khangela umcijo wokutaditsha okhuluma ngoJehova evesini le.

kukaJehova: Amazwi esiphrofetho sikaZekhariya asekucineni kwalelivesi ahambelana laku-Isy 40:3 kanye lakuMal 3:1, lapho okulebizo likaNkulunkulu elimelelwa ngongwaqa abane besiHebheru (YHWH) emibhalweni yakuqala yesiHebheru. “Lina Abasakhulayo Liyathuthuka Yini Ekukhonzeni?”

(ULukha 2:41, 42) Iminyaka yonke abazali bakhe baya eJerusalema belanda uMkhosi wePhasika. 42 Kwathi eseleminyaka elitshumi lambili baya eMkhosini njengenjayelo.

Iminyaka yonke abazali bakhe: Ngokutsho koMthetho, kwakungadingakali ukuthi abesifazana bahambe eMkhosini wePhasika. Kodwa uMariya wayejayele ukuhamba loJosefa minyaka yonke eJerusalema emkhosini lo. (Eks 23:17; 34:23) Umnyaka ngamunye babehamba amakhilomitha angafika 300 ukuhamba lokuphenduka bendawonye lemuli yabo eyayilokhu isanda.

(ULukha 2:46, 47) Ngemuva kwezinsuku ezintathu bamfumana emagumeni ethempeli, ehlezi phakathi kwabafundisi, elalele njalo ebabuza imibuzo. 47 Wonke umuntu owamuzwayo wamangala ngokuzwisisa kwakhe kanye lezimpendulo zakhe.

Abantu babengahlala phansi babalalele njalo bababuze imibuzo.

wamangala: NgesiGrikhi ibala eliyisenzo elitsho ‘ukumangala’ lingatsho ukube ulokhu ubamba owangaphansi kumbe ukuqhubeka ubambe owangaphansi.

(ULukha 2:51, 52) Wasehamba labo eNazaretha wahlala ebalalela. Kodwa unina wazenza igugu zonke lezi izinto enhliziyweni yakhe. 52 UJesu wakhula ngenhlakanipho, langomzimba langokuthandwa nguNkulunkulu labantu.

Wayengubani ubaba kaJosefa?

UJosefa umbazi waseNazaretha nguye ubaba owakhulisa uJesu. Kanti yena uJosefa wayezalwa ngubani? Ivangeli likaMathewu lithi nguJakhobe, kodwa kuLuka kuthiwa ‘wayeyindodana kaHeli.’ Yindaba sekukhanya kungasahambelani?—ULukha 3:23; UMathewu 1:16.

Ivangeli likaMathewu lithi: “UJakhobe enguyise kaJosefa,” ibala lesiGiriki elisetshenziswe lapha licacisa ukuthi uJakhobe nguye owayezala uJosefa. 8 USathane wasebenzisa icebo elifananayo lapho ezama ukulinga uJesu enkangala. UJesu esezile ukudla okwamalanga angu-40 lobusuku obungu-40, uSathane wazama ukumlinga ngesifiso sokudla. USathane wathi: “Uma uyiNdodana kaNkulunkulu, tshela ilitshe leli ukuthi libe yisinkwa.” (Luka. 4:1-3) UJesu kwakumele akhethe phakathi kwezinto ezimbili: Wayengakhetha ukuthi angasebenzisi amandla akhe okwenza izimangaliso ukuze asuthise isidingo sakhe sokudla, kumbe wayengakhetha ukuwasebenzisa. UJesu wayekwazi ukuthi kakumelanga asebenzise amandla la ukuze anelise izifiso zakhe. Lanxa wayelambile, indlala yakhe yayingaqakathekanga ukwedlula ukulondoloza ubuhlobo bakhe loJehova. UJesu waphendula wathi: “Kulotshiwe ukuthi: ‘Umuntu kaphili ngesinkwa kuphela, kodwa ngelizwi lonke eliphuma emlonyeni kaNkulunkulu.’”—Mat. 4:4.

(ULukha 4:5-8) USathane wamholela endaweni ephakemeyo wamtshengisa masinyane yonke imibuso yomhlaba. 6 Wasesithi kuye, “Ngizakunika amandla phezu kwayo kanye lobukhazikhazi bayo, ngokuba ngikuphiwe lokhu, njalo ngingapha loba ngubani engifuna ukumupha. 7 Yikho ungaze ungikhonze, konke kuzakuba ngokwakho.” 8 UJesu waphendula wathi, “Kulotshiwe ukuthi: ‘Khonza iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho, ubambelele kuye yedwa.’”

10 Kodwa kwenzakalani endabeni kaJesu? USathane “wamtshengisa masinyane yonke imibuso yomhlaba. Wasesithi kuye, ‘Ngizakunika amandla phezu kwayo kanye lobukhazikhazi bayo.’” (Luka. 4:5, 6) UJesu wayengeke ayibone ngamehlo yonke imibuso khonapho nje, kodwa akuthandabuzwa ukuthi uSathane wayebona angani umbono wobukhazikhazi bemibuso le, wawuzakhanga uJesu. Ngesibindi, uSathane wathi: “Ungaze ungikhonze, konke kuzakuba ngokwakho.” (Luka. 4:7) UJesu kazange afune ukuba ngumuntu uSathane ayefuna abe nguye. UJesu wahle wamphendula masinyane. Wathi: “Kulotshiwe ukuthi: ‘Khonza iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho, ubambelele kuye yedwa.’”—Luka. 4:8.

(ULukha 4:9-12) USathane wamholela eJerusalema wayammisa engqongeni yethempeli. “Uma uyiNdodana kaNkulunkulu,” kusitsho uSathane, “ziphosele phansi usuka lapha. 10 Phela kulotshiwe, kuthiwa: “‘Uzathuma izingilosi zakhe kuwe zikulinde ngokunanzelela; 11 zizakuphatha ngezandla zazo, ukuze ungatshayeleli unyawo lwakho elitsheni.’” 12 UJesu waphendula wathi, “Kuthi: ‘Ungayilingi iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho.’”

Engqongeni Yethempeli

Kufanele ukuthi uSathane wamisa uJesu “engqongeni [loba “indawo ephakemeyo”] yethempeli” wasemtshela ukuthi aziphosele phansi, kodwa akwaziwa ukuthi kungaphi sibili lapho uJesu ayemi khona. Ngokusetshenziswa kwalo lapha ibala elithi ‘ithempeli’ lingatsho isakhiwo sonke sethempeli, yikho kungenzeka ukuthi uJesu wayemi ekhoneni eliseningizimu mpumalanga (1) yethempeli. Kumbe wayengabe emi kwelinye ikhona lethempeli. Ukuziphosela umi endaweni lezi kwakungabangela ukufa ngaphandle nxa uJehova engenele.

12 UJesu kenzanga njengo-Eva, kodwa wasitshiyela isibonelo esihle kakhulu sokuthobeka! USathane wazama ukumlinga esebenzisa enye indlela kodwa uJesu kazange avumele ngitsho lomcabango wokwenza into yokubukisa eyayizalinga uNkulunkulu. Lokhu kwakungaba yisenzo sokuzikhukhumeza. Kodwa impendulo kaJesu yayicacile futhi ingabhodi. Wathi: ‘Kuthiwa: “Ungayilingi iNkosi uNkulunkulu wakho.’”—Bala uLukha 4:9-12.

Umgoqwancwadi owawusetshenziswa esinagogeni eNazaretha kufanele ukuthi wawungatshiyananga loka-Isaya ngobude. Njengoba ngalesosikhathi kwakungela zahluko lamavesi uJesu kwakumele adinge ingxenye ayefuna ukuyibala. Kodwa ukuthi wafumana indawo eyayilamazwi esiphrofetho kutshengisa ukuthi wayelijayele sibili iLizwi likaNkulunkulu.

(ULukha 4:25) Ngiyaqinisa kini ukuthi babebanengi abafelokazi ko-Israyeli ngesikhathi sika-Elija, lapho umkhathi wavaleka okweminyaka emithathu elengxenye kwaba lendlala enzima elizweni lonke.

IMibhalo YesiHebheru ayitsho ukuthi indlala yadonsa iminyaka engaphansi kwemithathu.
