UJesu wayevame ukuchitha isikhathi eside ethandaza. (Johane 17:1-26) Ngokwesibonelo, ngaphambi kokukhetha amadoda angu-12 ayezoba abaphostoli bakhe, uJesu “waphuma waya entabeni eyothandaza, futhi wahlala ubusuku bonke ethandaza kuNkulunkulu.” (Luka 6:12) Nakuba bengathandazi ubusuku bonke, abantu abangokomoya ngempela balingisa isibonelo sikaJesu. Lapho enye indoda engumbhali isithi kuJesu: “Mfundisi, ngizakulandela ungaze uye ngaphi,” uJesu wayiphendula wathi: “Amakhanka alemilindi lezinyoni zezulu zilezidleke, kodwa iNdodana yomuntu kayilandawo yokubeka ikhanda layo.” (Mat 8:19, 20; Luk 9:57, 58) UJesu lapha wayechacisa ukuthi ukuze indoda le ibe ngumlandeli wayo kwakumele ikhohlwe ngokufuna ukuba ngekhomba ngophakathi kodwa kwakumele ithembe uJehova kakhulu. Lokhu siyakuthola lasemthandazweni oyisibonelo awufundisa abafundi bakhe olamazwi athi: “Siphe lamuhla ukudla kwethu kwensuku zonke,” lasemazwini akhe athi: “Ngaleyondlela, loba ngubani phakathi kwenu ongadeli konke alakho ngeke abe ngumfundi wami.”—Mat 6:11; Luk 14:33.

ngiyengcwaba ubaba: Kukhanya amazwi endoda le awatsho ukuthi yayifelwe nguyise njalo icela ukuyalungiselela umngcwabo. Aluba uyise wayesefile kwakungeke kwenze ukuthi ibe khonapho ikhuluma loJesu. Kudala eMiddle East kwakusithi umuntu angafa emulini babephangisa ukuyamngcwaba, isikhathi esinengi babengcwaba ngelanga afe ngalo. Yikho kungenzeka ukuthi uyise wendoda le wayegula loba eseluphele kodwa engakafi. Njalo uJesu wayengeke atshele indoda le ukuthi itshiye umzali odinga usizo kungela muntu owayezasala emnakekela, yikho kufanele ukuthi akhona amanye amalunga emuli ayengasala emnakekela uyise. (Mak 7:9-13) Ngezinye indlela indoda le yayisithi, ‘Ngizakulandela kodwa nxa ubaba esaphila ngeke ngenelise. Mana ubaba aqale afe besengimngcwaba.’ UJesu yena wayebona ukuthi indoda le ikhutha ithuba elihle kakhulu lokufaka uMbuso kaNkulunkulu kuqala ekuphileni kwayo.—Luk 9:60, 62.

Yekela abafileyo bangcwabe abafileyo babo: Umcijo wokutaditsha okuLuk 9:59 utshengisile ukuthi uyise wendoda ayekhuluma layo wayengafanga kodwa kungenzeka wayegula loba eseluphele. Yikho lapha uJesu wayesithi: ‘Yekela abafileyo ekukhonzeni bangcwabe abafileyo babo,’ esitsho ukuthi ezinye izihlobo zalindoda zazingamnakekela uyise aze afe futhi zimngcwabe. Aluba indoda le yalandela uJesu yayizaba lethuba lokuthola ukuphila okungapheliyo njalo uJehova wayengasoze ayibale phakathi kwabantu abafileyo ekukhonzeni. UJesu watshengisa empendulweni yakhe ukuthi ukufaka uMbuso kaNkulunkulu kuqala ekuphileni kanye lokumemezela ngawo ezindaweni ezikhatshana yizinto eziqakatheke kakhulu ukuze umuntu ahlale ephila ekukhonzeni.

(ULukha 9:61, 62) Kwathi omunye njalo wathi, “Ngizakulandela, Nkosi; kodwa akuthi kengiyovalelisa abakithi.” 62 UJesu waphendula wathi, ‘Kakho othi angabamba ikhuba elima athalaze emuva owufaneleyo umsebenzi oqondane loMbuso kaNkulunkulu.’

Ukulima

Ukulima kwakujayele ukwenziwa ngentwasahlobo izulu selithambise umhlabathi ngemva kwesikhathi sokutshisa. (Khangela u-sgd ikhasi 64 ingxenye 19.) Ikhuba lalisenziwa ngesigodo, umcijo wakhona wawungaba lensimbi njalo lalidonswa yisifuyo esisodwa kumbe ezedlula lapho. Ngemva kokulima babehlanyela. Umsebenzi ojayelekileyo wokulima wawusetshenziswa emzekelisweni eseMibhalweni yesiHebheru. (Aba 14:18; Isy 2:4; Jer 4:3; Mik 4:3) UJesu laye wasebenzisa imizekeliso ephathelane lokulima ukuze acacise imicijo eqakathekileyo. Ngokwesibonelo wasebenzisa umzekeliso ophathelane lokulima ukuze atshengise ukuqakatheka kokuba ngumfundi ozinikele ngenhliziyo yonke. (Luk 9:62) Nxa obambe ikhuba angaphambaniseka angenza imifolo egobileyo. Ngendlela efananayo, nxa umfundi kaKhristu engalibala kumbe ayekele ukwenza umsebenzi wakhe uyabe engasawufanelanga uMbuso kaNkulunkulu.

Gcina Inhliziyo Yakho Iphelele KuJehova

11 Ukuze sisicacise ngokwengeziwe isifundo esisithola emfanekisweni kaJesu omfushane, ake senezele imininingwane ethile kuwo. Ake sithi nasi isisebenzi sasensimini simatasa siyalima. Nokho, njengoba silima, silokhu sikhumbula ukuthi ekhaya kunomthunzi futhi sishiye umkhaya nabangane, ngakho kumelwe ukuba kuyadliwa, kuyaculwa futhi kuyahlekwa. Siyazilangazelela lezi zinto. Ngemva kokulima indima ebonakalayo, isifiso saso ngalezi zinto ezimnandi ekuphileni sikhula kangangokuthi siyaphenduka sibheke “izinto ezingemuva.” Nakuba kusenomsebenzi omkhulu okumelwe wenziwe ngaphambi kokuba insimu itshalwe, lesi sisebenzi siyaphazamiseka, kuphazamiseke nomsebenzi waso. Yebo, umqashi walesi sisebenzi uyadumala ngokwehluleka kwaso ukukhuthazela.

12 Manje cabangela isimo esingaba umfuziselo walokhu osukwini lwanamuhla. Isisebenzi singamelela noma imuphi umKristu obonakala enza kahle kodwa empeleni osengozini ngokomoya. Ukuze siqhathanise lezi zimo, ake sicabange ngomzalwane oqhubeka ematasa enkonzweni. Nakuba eba khona emihlanganweni nasenkonzweni yasensimini, ulokhu ecabanga ngezici ezithile zendlela yezwe yokuphila azithola zikhanga. Ekujuleni kwenhliziyo yakhe uyazilangazelela lezi zinto. Ngemva kokuqhubeka nenkonzo yakhe iminyaka eminingi, ekugcineni isifiso sakhe sokuba nalezi zinto zezwe sikhula kangangokuthi uyaphenduka abheke “izinto ezingemuva.” Nakuba kusenomsebenzi omningi okumelwe wenziwe enkonzweni, akaqhubeki ‘elibambe ngokuqinile izwi lokuphila,’ futhi lokhu kuphazamisa indima yakhe emisebenzini engokomoya. (Fil. 2:16) Noma ikuphi ukwehluleka ukukhuthazela okunjalo, kuyamdabukisa uJehova, “iNkosi yokuvuna.”—Luka 10:2.

13 Isifundo sisobala. Kuyancomeka uma sihlanganyela njalo emisebenzini emihle neyanelisayo enjengokuba khona emihlanganweni yebandla nokuhlanganyela enkonzweni yasensimini. Kodwa ukukhonza uJehova ngenhliziyo ephelele kuhilela okwengeziwe. (2IziKr. 25:1, 2, 27) Uma ekujuleni kwenhliziyo yakhe, umKristu eqhubeka ethanda “izinto ezingemuva”—okungukuthi, izici ezithile zendlela yezwe yokuphila—usengozini yokulahlekelwa ukuma okuhle anakho noNkulunkulu. (Luka 17:32) ‘Siyowufanelekela kahle umbuso kaNkulunkulu’ kuphela uma ‘sikwenyanya ngempela okubi futhi sibambelela kokuhle.’ (Roma 12:9; Luka 9:62) Ngakho-ke, sonke kudingeka siqiniseke ukuthi asivumeli lutho ezweni likaSathane, kungakhathaliseki ukuthi lubonakala luwusizo noma lujabulisa kangakanani, lusenze singazikhathaleli ngenhliziyo yonke izithakazelo zoMbuso.—2 Kor. 11:14; funda eyabaseFilipi 3:13, 14.

(ULukha 9:49, 50) UJohane wathi, “Nkosi, sibone indoda ikhupha amadimoni ngebizo lakho, sazama ukumyekelisa ngoba engasuye omunye wethu.” 50 UJesu wathi, “Lingamaleli, ngoba lowo ongamelani lani ukanye lani.”

Umgwaqo (1) otshengiswe kuvidiyo le emfitshane kufanele ukuthi ulandela indlela efanana leyomgwaqo wakudala owawuhlanganisa iJerusalema leJerikho. Umgwaqo lo wawusedlula amakhilomitha angu-20 ubude njalo kwakwehlile kakhulu okwebanga elingaba likhilomitha elilodwa usuka eJerusalema usiya eJerikho. Kwacina kufakwe inkamba endleleni le ukuze kuvikelwe izihambi ngoba kwakulezigebenga ezinengi. IJerikho yamaRoma (2) yayilapho okwakuthutsha khona umgwaqo uvelela enkangala yaseJudiya. IJerikho elidala (3) laliqhelelane ledolobho laseRoma ngamakhilomitha angaba mabili.

“Wayengakhulumi Nabo Ngaphandle Komfanekiso”

14 Okwesibili, khumbula umzekeliso womSamariya olungileyo. UJesu waqala ngokuthi: “Umuntu othile wayehla evela eJerusalema eya eJeriko futhi wazithela phakathi kwabaphangi, labo kokubili abamhlubula futhi bamshaya amagalelo, bahamba, bamshiya kusele umndondo.” (Luka 10:30) Ngokuphawulekayo, uJesu wasebenzisa umgwaqo owawusuka ‘eJerusalema uya eJeriko’ ukuze aveze iphuzu lakhe. Lapho elandisa lo mzekeliso, wayeseJudiya, budebuduze neJerusalema; ngakho cishe izilaleli zakhe zaziwazi umgwaqo ayekhuluma ngawo. Lowo mgwaqo wawaziwa ukuthi uyingozi, ikakhulu kumuntu ohamba yedwa. Wawugwingciza enkangala ethule, enezindawo eziningi abaphangi ababengacasha kuzo.

15 Kunokunye futhi okuphawulekayo ngokukhuluma kukaJesu ngomgwaqo ‘owawehla usuka eJerusalema uya eJeriko.’ Ngokwale ndaba, umpristi, kamuva nomLevi, nabo babehamba ngalowo mgwaqo—nakuba bobabili bengamanga ukuze basize owayelimele. (Luka 10:31, 32) Abapristi babekhonza ethempelini eJerusalema, besizwa amaLevi. Abapristi abaningi namaLevi babehlala eJeriko lapho bengasebenzi ethempelini, ngoba iJeriko laliqhele ngamakhilomitha angu-23 kuphela ukusuka eJerusalema. Ngenxa yalokho, akungabazeki ukuthi babenesizathu sokuhamba ngalowo mgwaqo. Phawula nokuthi umpristi nomLevi babehamba ngalo mgwaqo ‘ovela eJerusalema,’ ngakho babesuka ethempelini. Ngakho akukho muntu owayengakuthethelela kufanele ukungabi nandaba kwala madoda ngokuthi, ‘Lo muntu owayelimele amgwema ngoba ebonakala sengathi ufile, njengoba ukuthinta isidumbu kwakuyowenza angakufanelekeli ukukhonza ethempelini okwesikhashana.’ (Levitikusi 21:1; Numeri 19:11, 16) Akucacile yini ukuthi umfanekiso kaJesu wawuveza izinto ezazijwayelekile ezilalelini zakhe?

(ULukha 10:33-35) Kodwa umSamariya, wathi ezihambela wafika lapho indoda eyayikhona, wathi eyibona wayizwela usizi. 34 Wayakuyo, wawabopha amanxeba ayo, elokhu ethela amafutha lewayini. Waseyikhweza kubabhemi wakhe indoda leyo wayisa endlini yezihambi wayinakekela. 35 Ngosuku olulandelayo wakhupha izinhlamvu ezimbili zesiliva wazinika umphathi wendawo. Wathi, ‘Mgcine, kuzakuthi nxa sengibuya ngizalibhadala lezozindleko eziyabe zisele.’

umSamariya: AmaJuda ayeseyisa amaSamariya futhi engafuni ukudlelana lawo. (Joh 4:9) Amanye amaJuda ayesebenzisa ibala elithi “mSamariya” ngendlela yokweyisa lokuthethisa. (Joh 8:48) Elinye ibhuku okuthiwa yiMishna lilamazwi omunye urabi athi: “Lowo odla isinkwa samaSamariya ufana lomuntu odla inyama yewotshi.” (Shebith 8:10) AmaJuda amanengi ayengabukholwa ubufakazi obuvela kumaSamariya futhi engalwamukeli usizo lwabo. UJesu wananzelela ukuthi amaJuda ayekhangelela amaSamariya emanzini yikho waveza umcijo olamandla emzekelisweni lo owaziwa ngokuthi ngowomSamariya olungileyo kumbe olesihawu.

Iwayini lamafutha kwakusetshenziswa ekwelapheni amanxeba. Amafutha ayejayele ukusetshenziswa nxa kuthanjiswa inxeba (khangela lo-Isy 1:6) njalo iwayini lalisetshenziselwa ukubulala amagciwane. 4 Okokuqala, iBhayibhili lifundisa ngokucacileyo ukuthi uNkulunkulu uqakathekisa yinye ngayinye yezinceku zakhe. Ngokwesibonelo, uJesu wathi: “Izintaka ezimbili kazithengiswa ngendibilitshi na? Kodwa kayikho leyodwa yazo ewela phansi ingavunyelwanga nguYihlo [kumbe uYihlo engakwazi, NW]. Kwala zona izinwele zamakhanda enu zibaliwe. 5 Singazibuza ukuthi umuntu wayengayithengelani intaka. Impendulo elula yikuthi ngesikhathi sikaJesu, intaka yiyo inyoni eyayitshiphe ukwedlula zonke kwezidliwayo. Nanzelela ukuthi nxa umuntu wayelendibilitshi eyodwa, wayengathenga izintaka ezimbili. Kodwa uJesu waphinda watshengisa ukuthi nxa umuntu wayezimisele ukuthenga ngezindibilitshi ezimbili, wayengathola izintaka ezinhlanu, hatshi ezine. Inyoni yesihlanu kwakungathi kayiqakathekanga okokuthi yayisiba yimbasela. Mhlawumbe izidalwa lezo zazingaqakathekanga ebantwini, kodwa uMdali wazo wayezibona njani? UJesu wathi: “Kayikho lanye yazo [ngitsho laleyo eyayifakwa njengembasela] uNkulunkulu ayilibalayo.” (ULukha 12:6, 7) Khathesi sesingawuzwisisa umcijo kaJesu. Nxa uJehova eqakathekisa kangaka intaka eyodwa nje, pho umuntu yena umqakathekisa kakhulu kangakanani! Njengoba uJesu wachasisa, uJehova wazi konke ngathi. Phela izinwele zekhanda lethu zibaliwe!

Zamani ngamandla: Loba “qhubekani lilwisa.” Isikhuthazo sikaJesu sitshengisa ukuthi kuqakathekile ukuthi sisebenze ngomphefumulo wethu wonke ukuze singene ngomnyango omncinyane. (ULukha 15:11-16) UJesu waqhubeka wathi: “Kwakukhona indoda eyayilamadodana amabili. 12 Encinyane yathi kuyise, ‘Baba, ngipha esami isabelo selifa.’ Ngakho uyise wasebehlukanisela impahla yakhe bobabili. 13 “Ngemuva kwesikhatshana indodana encane yabutha konke okungokwayo, yasuka yaya elizweni elikude yafika khona yayichitha inotho yayo ngempilo yokuxhwala. 14 Isitshaye yachitha konke, kwaba khona indlala enkulu kulolonke ilizwe lelo, yayiswela kakhulu. 15 Yasisiyadinga umsebenzi komunye umuntu wakulelo lizwe owayisa esiqintini sakhe ukuyagcina izingulube. 16 Yabona kungcono kuyo ukuthi ixotshe iphango [ngokudla kwengulube, NW], kodwa kayizange iphiwe ulutho langubani.

ngempilo yokuxhwala: Kumbe yokutshaphaza (impilo yokungabi landaba).” Ibala lesiGrikhi elifananayo lisetshenziswe ku-Efe 5:18; Tit 1:6; lo-1Pe 4:4. Njengoba ibala lesiGrikhi lingaphinda litsho impilo yokutshaphaza, amanye amaBhayibhili asebenzisa umutsho othi “ngenhlalo embi.”

Kangisakufanelanga ukuthiwa ngiyindodana yakho.’ 22 “Kodwa uyise wathi ezincekwini zakhe, ‘Phangisani! Lethani isigqoko esihle okudlula ezinye limgqokise. Lifake indandatho emunweni wakhe, limgqokise lamanyathela ezinyaweni zakhe. 23 Beseliletha ithole elinonisiweyo lilihlabe. Kasenzeni idili sithokoze. 24 Ngokuba indodana yami le yayisifile kodwa isiphila njalo; yayilahlekile manje isifunyenwe.’ Waqalisa manje umkhosi wokujabula.

isigqoko . . . indandatho. . . lamanyathela: Isigqoko lesi kwakungasiso sigqoko nje kodwa kwakungesihle okudlula ezinye—mhlawumbe sasithungwe kuhle safanana laleso esasiphiwa isivakatshi esihloniphekayo. Ubaba lo watshengisa ukuthi ulothando ngokufaka indandatho esandleni sendodana yakhe eyaphendukayo okwayenza yaba lesithunzi njalo yahlonipheka. Izisebenzi zazingajayelanga ukugqoka indandatho lamanyathela. Lokhu kutshengisa ukuthi uyise wayekucacisa ukuthi indodana yakhe wayeyamukela ekhaya njengelunga lemuli.

7 Bala uLukha 16:10-13. Umphathi okukhulunywa ngaye emzekelisweni kaJesu wadinga abangane ukuze athole uncedo nxa esesebunzimeni. Loba kunjalo uJesu wakhuthaza abalandeli bakhe ukuthi basebenzise inotho yomhlaba ukuze bazuze abangane ezulwini. Ngemva kwalokho waveza ukuthi indlela esisebenzisa ngayo inotho yomhlaba lo ingatshengisa ukuthi sithembekile yini kuNkulunkulu. Ngayiphi indlela?

8 Indlela esingatshengisa ngayo ukuthi sisebenzisa kuhle inotho yethu yikunikela ukuze sisekele umsebenzi wokutshumayela owenziwa emhlabeni wonke uJesu akhuluma ngawo. (Mat. 24:14) Ngokwesibonelo enye intombazana yase-India yayilebhokisi elincane eyayiphosela kulo imadlana eyitholayo. Kwezinye izikhathi yayithengisa amathoyi ayo ukuze ithole imali yokuphosela ebhokisini lelo. Lathi seligcwele yathatha leyomali yanikela ngayo ukuze isetshenziswe emsebenzini wokutshumayela. Kanti njalo kulomunye umzalwane wase-India olepulazi lamakhokhonathi. Ngesinye isikhathi umzalwane lo wathatha esinye isivuno samakhokhonathi wayanika abazalwane ewofisini yokuhumutsha yolimi lwesiMalayalam. Wabona le kuyindlela elusizo kakhulu ukwedlula imali ayengayikhupha nxa enikela. Wenza ngokuhlakanipha sibili umzalwane lo. Abafowethu labodadewethu beGreece labo bandise ukuncedisa abazalwane beBhetheli ngokubanika amafutha okupheka letshizi lokunye nje ukudla.
