18 So Jehovah said to Moses: “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom there is spirit, and lay your hand on him.+

28 Commission Joshua+ and encourage him and strengthen him, because he is the one who will cross over+ before this people and he is the one who will cause them to inherit the land that you will see.’

2 “Moses my servant is dead.+ Now get up, cross the Jordan, you and all this people, and go into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.+
