23 Everyone in the land was weeping loudly while all these people crossed over, and the king was standing by the Kidʹron Valley;+ all the people were crossing over to the road leading to the wilderness.

16 Aʹsa the king even removed Maʹa·cah+ his grandmother from her position as queen mother,* because she had made an obscene idol for the worship of the sacred pole.*+ Aʹsa cut down her obscene idol and pulverized it and burned it in the Kidʹron Valley.+ 17 But the high places were not removed+ from Israel.+ Nevertheless, Aʹsa’s heart was complete* all his life.*+ 18 And he brought the things that he and his father had made holy into the house of the true God—silver, gold, and various utensils.+

18 After he said these things, Jesus went out with his disciples across the Kidʹron Valley*+ to where there was a garden, and he and his disciples went into it.+
