22 And this stone that I have set up as a pillar will become a house of God,+ and without fail I will give you a tenth of everything you give to me.”

5 As soon as the order was issued, the Israelites gave in great quantities the firstfruits of the grain, new wine, oil,+ and honey, and of all the produce of the field;+ they brought in abundantly the tenth of everything.+

12 And all Judah brought in the tenth+ of the grain, the new wine, and the oil to the storerooms.+

42 But woe to you Pharisees, because you give the tenth of the mint and of the rue and of every other garden herb,*+ but you disregard the justice and the love of God! These things you were under obligation to do, but not to disregard those other things.+
