2 In the fifth year of King Re·ho·boʹam, King Shiʹshak+ of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, for they had behaved unfaithfully toward Jehovah.

32 After these things and these acts of faithfulness,+ King Sen·nachʹer·ib of As·syrʹi·a came and invaded Judah. He besieged the fortified cities, intent on breaking through and capturing them.+
