29 In the days of King Peʹkah of Israel, King Tigʹlath-pil·eʹser+ of As·syrʹi·a invaded and captured Iʹjon, Aʹbel-beth-maʹa·cah,+ Ja·noʹah, Keʹdesh,+ Haʹzor, Gilʹe·ad,+ and Galʹi·lee, all the land of Naphʹta·li,+ and he took the inhabitants into exile in As·syrʹi·a.+

8 Aʹhaz then took the silver and the gold that was to be found at the house of Jehovah and in the treasuries of the king’s house* and sent the king of As·syrʹi·a a bribe.+ 9 The king of As·syrʹi·a responded to his request, and he went up to Damascus and captured it and led its people into exile to Kir,+ and he put Reʹzin to death.+

26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of King Pul of As·syrʹi·a+ (that is, King Tilʹgath-pil·neʹser+ of As·syrʹi·a) so that he took into exile those of the Reuʹben·ites, the Gadʹites, and the half tribe of Ma·nasʹseh and brought them to Haʹlah, Haʹbor, Haʹra, and the river Goʹzan,+ where they are until this day.
