14 For now I am directing all my blows to strike your heart, your servants, and your people, so that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.+

16 But for this very reason I have kept you in existence: to show you my power and to have my name declared in all the earth.+

17 For the scripture says to Pharʹaoh: “For this very reason I have let you remain: to show my power in connection with you and to have my name declared in all the earth.”+ 18 So, then, he has mercy on whomever he wishes, but he lets whomever he wishes become obstinate.+
