23 After sending the crowds away, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray.+ When evening came, he was there alone.

42 However, at daybreak he departed and went to an isolated place.+ But the crowds began searching* for him and came to where he was, and they tried to keep him from going away from them.

7 During his life on earth,* Christ offered up supplications and also petitions, with strong outcries and tears,+ to the One who was able to save him out of death, and he was favorably heard for his godly fear.
