13 On that day Jesus left the house and was sitting by the sea. 2 And such large crowds gathered to him that he went aboard a boat and sat down, and all the crowd was standing on the beach.+ 3 Then he told them many things by illustrations,+ saying: “Look! A sower went out to sow.+

4 Again he began teaching beside the sea, and a very large crowd gathered near him. So he went aboard a boat and sat in it away from the shore, but the whole crowd was next to the sea, along the shore.+ 2 And he began to teach them many things with illustrations,+ and while he was teaching, he said to them:+
