14 And Jesus, on coming into Peter’s house, saw his mother-in-law+ lying down and sick with fever.+ 15 So he touched her hand,+ and the fever left her, and she got up and began ministering to him.

24 Jesus said: “Leave the place, for the little girl did not die but is sleeping.”+ At this they began to laugh at him scornfully. 25 As soon as the crowd had been sent outside, he went in and took hold of her hand,+ and the little girl got up.+
