Leviticus
13 Jehovah continue to talk to Moses and Aaron say: 2 “If person skin* swell up, e get dry mark, or mark wey get different color from the skin, and e fit turn to leprosy* disease for the person skin, them must bring the person to Aaron wey be the priest or to one of im sons wey be priest. 3 The priest go check the disease for the skin. When the hair for that part of the skin don turn white color and the disease be like wetin dey deep pass the skin, this one na leprosy disease. The priest go check-am and talk for public say the person no dey clean. 4 But if the mark wey get different color from the skin dey white and e be like wetin no deep pass the skin and the hair never turn to white, then the priest go separate the person wey get the disease from other people for seven days. 5 Then the priest go check the person for the seventh day, and if e be like say the disease don stop and e no spread for the skin, the priest go separate the person from other people for another seven days.
6 “Make the priest check the person again for the seventh day, and if the disease don de go* and e never spread for the skin, the priest go talk for public say the person clean; na just ordinary dry mark. Then the person go wash im cloths and dey clean. 7 But if the dry mark* don surely spread for the skin after the person don come meet the priest for the priest to talk say e dey clean, then the person go come again* come meet the priest. 8 The priest go check the dry mark and if the mark don spread for the skin, then the priest go talk for public say the person no clean. Na leprosy.
9 “If person get leprosy, then una must bring the person come meet the priest, 10 and the priest go check the person. If that part for the skin swell up and dey white and come make the hair turn to white color and fresh wound dey the place wey swell up, 11 na serious leprosy for im skin, and the priest go talk for public say the person no clean. E no go need to separate the person for some days to check-am again, because the person no clean. 12 Now if the leprosy spread for everywhere for the skin and the leprosy cover the person from head go reach leg, as far as the priest fit see reach, 13 and the priest don check the person and see say the leprosy don cover all im skin, then the priest go talk for public say the person wey get the disease dey clean.* Since all the parts wey the disease dey for the skin don turn to white, the person dey clean. 14 But anytime wey fresh wound come out for that part of the skin, the person no go dey clean. 15 When the priest see the fresh wound, e go talk for public say the person no clean. The fresh wound no clean. Na leprosy. 16 But if the fresh wound turn to white again, then the person go come meet the priest. 17 The priest go check the person, and if the disease don turn to white, then the priest go talk for public say the person wey get the disease dey clean. The person dey clean.
18 “If person get boil for im skin and the boil heal, 19 but the place wey the boil dey come swell up and get white color or e get red and white mark, then the person must go show imself to the priest. 20 The priest go check the disease and if e be like say the disease dey deep pass the skin and the hair don turn to white, then the priest go talk for public say the person no clean. Na leprosy disease wey don come out from the boil. 21 But if the priest check-am and see say no white hair dey the place, and e no deep pass the skin and e be like say e don de go,* then the priest go separate the person from other people for seven days. 22 And if e clear say the disease don spread for the skin, then the priest go talk for public say the person no clean. Na disease. 23 But if the mark wey get different color from the skin dey for one place and e no spread, the place only swell up because of the boil, then the priest go talk for public say the person dey clean.
24 “Or if person get wound because of fire wey burn-am and the fresh wound for the skin turn to red and white mark or just white mark, 25 then the priest go check the place. If the hair for the mark wey get different color from the skin don turn to white and e be like say e dey deep pass the skin, na leprosy don come out for the wound, and the priest go talk for public say the person no clean. Na leprosy disease. 26 But if the priest check-am and see say no white hair dey for the mark wey get different color from the skin and e no deep pass the skin and e don de go,* then the priest go separate the person from other people for seven days. 27 The priest go check the person for the seventh day, and if e clear say the disease don spread for the skin, then the priest go talk for public say the person no clean. Na leprosy disease. 28 But if the mark wey get different color from the skin dey for one place and e no spread for the skin and e don de go,* e mean say the place wey the wound dey only swell up. Then the priest go talk for public say the person clean, because the place wey the wound dey only swell up.
29 “When man or woman get disease for im head or for im chin,* 30 then the priest go check the disease. If e be like say e deep pass the skin and the hair yellow and thin, then the priest go talk for public say this kind person no clean. Na disease wey don affect the skin of the head or the beard-beard. Na leprosy of head or chin. 31 But if the priest see say the disease no be like wetin deep pass the skin and no black hair for there, make the priest separate the person wey get the disease from other people for seven days. 32 The priest go check the disease for the seventh day, and if the place wey the disease dey no spread and no yellow hair don come out for there and e be like say the place wey the disease dey no deep pass the skin, 33 make the person shave, but e no go shave the place wey the disease dey. Then the priest go separate the person wey get the disease from other people for seven days.
34 “Again the priest go check the place where the disease dey for the seventh day, and if the disease for the skin of the head and the beard-beard no spread for the skin and e no be like wetin deep pass the skin, then the priest must talk for public say the person clean, and the person go wash im cloths and dey clean. 35 But if e clear say the disease spread for the skin after the priest don talk say the person clean, 36 the priest go check the person, and if the disease don spread for the skin, the priest no go need to look for yellow hair; that person no clean. 37 But if after the priest check-am, e see say the disease no spread, and black hair don grow for the place, the disease don go. The person dey clean, and the priest go talk for public say e dey clean.
38 “If man or woman get marks for body wey get different color from im skin,* and the marks get white color, 39 the priest go check them. If the white color of the marks for the skin don de go,* then na ordinary craw-craw come out for the skin. That person dey clean.
40 “If the hair for man head don comot and e turn to bald head, the man dey clean. 41 If na the hair for front of im head comot and e turn to bald head for there, the person dey clean. 42 But if na red and white sore de come out for the bald part of the head or for front of im head, na leprosy de come out for im head or for front of im head. 43 The priest go check the person and if the place wey swell up because of the disease get red and white color for the bald part ontop im head or for front of im head and e be like leprosy for im skin, 44 the person na leper. E no dey clean, and the priest go talk for public say the person no clean because of the disease for im head. 45 As for the leper wey get the disease, e go wear tear-tear cloths, and e no go care for the hair wey dey im head and e go cover im mustache and shout say, ‘I no clean, I no clean!’ 46 E no go dey clean for all the time wey e get the disease. Since e no dey clean, e go live separate from other people. The place wey e go de stay go dey outside the camp.
47 “If the leprosy disease affect cloth, whether na cloth wey them make with wool or with linen, 48 whether na the threads wey dey the long side or the short side of the linen or of the wool, or e dey for leather material or for anything wey them make with leather, 49 and the yellow and green or red stain from the disease affect the cloth, any leather material, the threads wey dey the long side or the threads wey dey the short side or anything wey them make with leather, na leprosy don affect-am, and make una show-am to the priest. 50 The priest go check the disease, and e must keep the things wey the disease don affect separate for seven days. 51 When e check the disease for the seventh day and see say e don spread for the cloth, for the threads wey dey the long side, for the threads wey dey the short side, or for the leather (no matter wetin them de use the leather for), the disease na strong leprosy and e no clean. 52 Make e burn the cloth or the threads for the long side or the threads for the short side wey dey the wool or wey dey the linen, or any other thing wey them make with leather material wey the disease don affect, because na strong leprosy. Make e burn-am for inside fire.
53 “But if the priest check-am and the disease no spread for the cloth, or the threads for the long side, or the threads for the short side, or for any other thing wey them make with leather material, 54 then the priest go command say make them wash the thing wey the disease don affect, and e go keep-am separate for another seven days. 55 Then the priest go check the thing wey the disease don affect after them don wash-am well. If the place wey the disease affect no change, even if the disease no spread, e no dey clean. Make you burn-am for inside fire, because the disease don chop-am, whether na from the inside or from the outside.
56 “But if the priest don check-am and the part wey the disease affect don de clear* after them don wash-am well, then the priest go tear that part comot from the cloth or the leather material or the threads wey dey the long side or the threads wey dey the short side. 57 But, if e still show for another part of the cloth or for the threads wey dey the long side or for the threads wey dey the short side, or for anything wey them make with leather material, e mean say e de spread. Then make you burn anything wey the disease don affect for inside fire. 58 But when the disease don comot from the cloth or from the threads wey dey the long side or from the threads wey dey the short side or from anything wey them make with leather material wey you wash, then you go wash-am the second time and e go clean.
59 “This one na the law wey concern leprosy disease for cloth wey them make with wool or linen, or for threads wey dey the long side or threads wey dey the short side of material wey them weave, or for any other thing wey them make with leather material, before the priest go fit talk for public say the thing dey clean or e no dey clean.”
