23 “Make you no ever spread* story wey no be true. Make you no join wicked person to want do bad to another person. 2 Make you no ever join to do bad thing just because plenty people de do-am. And make you no ever bend the truth* when them call you to talk for matter just because na wetin plenty people de do. 3 Make you no ever do partial for matter wey concern poor person.

4 “If you see say your enemy bull or im donkey don de miss road, you must help to bring-am back to the person. 5 If you see say the donkey of person wey hate you don fall and the load wey e carry dey ontop-am, make you no waka pass and leave-am there. You must help the person free the animal.

6 “Make you no bend the judgment of poor person wey dey among your people when you de judge im case.

7 “If person lie against another person say e do something, make you no put hand for that kind thing. And make you no kill person wey im hand clean and wey de do wetin correct for my eye, because I no go talk say the wicked person de do wetin correct for my eye.*

8 “Make you no ever collect bribe, because bribe de blind people wey de see well* and e fit make righteous people bend wetin them de talk.

9 “Make you no ever suffer stranger wey de live for una land. Una know how e be for person to be stranger* because before, una live as strangers for the land of Egypt.

10 “You go plant seeds for your land and gather wetin e go produce for six years. 11 But for the seventh year you no go plant anything for the land and you no go do any work for there. The poor people wey dey among your people go chop from-am, and wetin them chop remain, the bush animals go chop. This one na wetin you go do with your vine farm and your olive farm.

12 “Make you do your work for six days; but for the seventh day you go stop your work, so that your bull and your donkey go fit rest and the son of your slave girl and the stranger wey de live for the land go fit get their power again.

13 “Make una make sure say una do everything wey I don tell una, and make una no mention the names of other gods; make their names no come out from una mouth.

14 “Three times every year you go celebrate festival for me. 15 You go do the Festival of Bread Wey No Get Yeast. You go chop bread wey no get yeast for seven days, just as I don command you, for the time wey I choose for the month of A′bib, because na that time you come out from Egypt. Make nobody come my front with empty hand. 16 And make you do the Festival of Harvest* when you don harvest the first ripe fruits of your work from the things wey you plant for farm; and the Festival of End of Harvest* for the end of the year, when you gather the things wey your work produce from the farm. 17 Three times each year, all your men* go come front of the true Lord, Jehovah.

18 “Make you no ever sacrifice anything wey get yeast together with the blood of my sacrifice. And the fat wey you go use do sacrifice them for my festivals, make you no keep-am from night go reach morning.

19 “Make you bring the best from the first ripe fruits wey come from your ground to the house of Jehovah your God.

“Make you no ever boil young goat for inside im mama milk.

20 “I de send one angel make e dey your front to protect you for road and to bring you come the place wey I don prepare. 21 Listen to-am and obey im voice. No turn against-am because e no go forgive una for the bad wey una do, because e de carry my name. 22 But if you obey im voice for everything and do everything wey I talk, I go deal with your enemies and I go dey against people wey dey against you. 23 And my angel go dey front of you and bring you come the land of Am′or·ite people, Hitʹtite people, Per′iz·zite people, Ca′naan people, Hi′vite people, and Jeʹbus people, and I go destroy them finish. 24 Make you no ever bow down to their gods or allow person deceive you to serve them, and make you no ever copy the way them de do things. Instead, you must destroy them and scatter their idol pillars. 25 Una must serve Jehovah una God, and e go bless your bread and your water. 31 “I go make your boundary be from the Red Sea to the sea of Phi·lis′tia people and from the wilderness to the River;* because I go make you win the people wey de live for the land, and you go drive them comot. 32 Make you no ever do agreement with them or their gods. 33 Make them no live for your land, so that them no go make you sin against me. If you serve their gods, this one go surely be danger* for you.”
