Deuteronomy 30:1-20

Deuteronomy

30 “When all this things* don happen to you, the blessing and the curse wey I don put for your front, and you remember them* when you dey all the nations where Jehovah your God don scatter una go, 2 and you come back to Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul* and listen to im voice according to everything wey I de command you today, you and your sons, 3 then Jehovah your God go bring back your people wey them carry go and show you pity, and gather una come back from all the nations where Jehovah your God don scatter una go. 4 Even if them scatter your people go the end of the heavens, Jehovah your God go gather una and bring una come back from there. 5 Jehovah your God go bring you come the land wey your papa them take as their own, and you go take-am as your own. And e go make things go well for you and e go make you plenty pass your papa them. 6 Jehovah your God go clean* your heart and the heart of your children, so that you go love Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul* and you go fit dey alive. 7 Then Jehovah your God go bring all this curse them ontop your enemies, wey be hate and suffer you.

8 “Then you go come back and listen to the voice of Jehovah and obey all im commandments wey I de command you today. 9 Jehovah your God go make you get surplus for all the work wey you use your hand do. E go make your children, and your animals and the things wey your ground de produce to plenty, because Jehovah go really happy again to make things go well for you, just as e be really happy with your papa-papa them. 10 Na that time you go listen to the voice of Jehovah your God and obey im commandments and laws wey them write for inside this book of the Law, and you go come back to Jehovah your God with all your heart and all your soul.*

11 “Now this commandment wey I de command you today, no too hard for you and no be wetin dey far from you.* 12 E no dey for the heavens, wey go make you talk say, ‘Who go go up to the heavens and bring-am come for us, so that we fit hear-am and obey-am?’ 13 And no be say e dey the other side of the sea, wey go make you talk say, ‘Who go cross go the other side of the sea and bring-am come for us, so that we fit hear-am and obey-am?’ 14 The word really near you, for inside your own mouth and for inside your own heart, so that you fit do-am.

15 “See, I de put life and wetin good, and death and wetin bad for your front today. 16 If you listen to the commandments of Jehovah your God wey I de command you today, as you de love Jehovah your God, de follow im ways, and de obey im commandments and im laws and im decisions, then you go dey alive and plenty, and Jehovah your God go bless you for the land wey you de go take as your own.

17 “But if your heart turn go different direction and you no listen, and something draw you to bow down to other gods and serve them, 18 I de tell una today say una go surely die. Una no go live long for the land wey una de cross River Jordan to go take as una own. 19 I de take heaven and earth as witness against una today, say I don put life and death for your front, blessing and curse; and you must choose life so that you fit dey alive, you and your children-children, 20 as you de love Jehovah your God, de listen to im voice, and you hold-am tight, because na God be your life, and na because of-am you go live long for the land wey Jehovah swear to give your papa-papa them, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
