Numbers
21 When the king of A′rad wey be Ca′naan person, wey be de live for Neg′eb hear say na Ath′a·rim road Israel pass come, e attack Israel and carry some of them as slaves. 2 So Israel make this promise to Jehovah say: “If you put this people for my hand, I no go fail to destroy their cities.” 3 So Jehovah listen to Israel voice and put Ca′naan people for their hand, and Israel destroy them and their cities. So, them name the place Hor′mah.*
4 As them continue their journey from Mount Hor, for the road of the Red Sea so that them go go round the land of E′dom, the people* come tire because of the journey. 5 And the people continue to talk against God and Moses, say: “Why una carry us comot from Egypt make we die inside the wilderness? Food no dey and water no dey, and we* don come hate* this nonsense bread.” 6 So Jehovah send snakes wey get poison* among the people, and them continue to bite the people, sotey many Israel people die.
7 So the people come meet Moses and talk say: “We don sin as we talk against Jehovah and against you. Help us beg Jehovah so that e fit comot the snakes from us.” And Moses beg God for the people. 8 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: “Make something wey be like snake wey get poison* and put-am ontop pole. Then, when snake bite anybody, the person go look the one wey dey for pole so that e go continue to dey alive.” 9 At once, Moses use copper make snake and put-am ontop the pole, and anytime wey snake bite person and the person look the copper snake, e go survive.
10 After that one, Israel people comot from there and put their camp for O′both. 11 Then, them comot from O′both and put their camp for I′ye-ab′a·rim, for the wilderness wey face Mo′ab, for the side wey face east. 12 Then, them comot from there and put their camp for the Lowland* of Ze′red. 13 Then, them comot from there and put their camp for the area wey Ar′non dey, wey dey the wilderness wey stretch from the boundary of Am′or·ite people. Ar′non na the boundary of Mo′ab, between Mo′ab and Am′or·ite people. 14 That one na why the book of the Wars of Jehovah talk about “Va′heb for Su′phah and the lowlands* of Ar′non, 15 and the lowlands* wey go down,* wey stretch go the area of Ar and join the boundary of Mo′ab.”
16 The next place wey them go na Be′er. This na the well wey Jehovah tell Moses about say: “Gather the people, make I give them water.”
17 That time, Israel sing this song:
“Come up, O well!—Answer-am!*
18 The well wey leaders dig, wey important men of the people don dig,
With the rod of person wey de rule and with their own rods.”
Then them comot from the wilderness go Mat′ta·nah, 19 from Mat′ta·nah them go Na·hal′i·el, and from Na·hal′i·el them go Ba′moth. 20 Them comot from Ba′moth go the lowland for the territory* of Mo′ab, ontop Pis′gah, wey dey up de face Je·shi′mon* wey dey down.
21 Israel come send messengers go meet Si′hon, wey be the king of Am′or·ite people say: 22 “Allow us pass inside your land. We no go turn enter inside any farm or any vine farm. We no go drink water from any well. We go waka for the King Road until we don pass your territory finish.” 23 But Si′hon no allow Israel to pass through im territory. Instead, Si′hon gather all im people and comot to go fight Israel for the wilderness, and e reach Ja′haz and start to fight with Israel. 24 But Israel win-am with sword and take over im land from Ar′non go reach Jab′bok, near the land of Amʹmon people, because Ja′zer get boundary with the land of Amʹmon people.
25 So Israel collect all this cities and them start to live for all the cities of Am′or·ite people, for Hesh′bon and all the towns wey surround-am. 26 Because Hesh′bon na the city of Si′hon the king of Am′or·ite people, wey don fight with the king of Mo′ab and collect all im land from-am go reach Ar′non. 27 Na this one make people de talk this proverb wey them de use as insult say:
“Come inside Hesh′bon.
Make them build the city of Si′hon and make e stand strong.
28 Because fire come out from Hesh′bon, fire from the town of Si′hon.
E don burn Ar for Mo′ab, the rulers for the high place them for Ar′non.
29 Trouble dey for you, Mo′ab! Them go destroy una, O people of Che′mosh!
E de make im sons run comot from their place and de make im daughters slaves of Si′hon, the king of Am′or·ite people.
30 Make we shoot them;
Hesh′bon go face destruction go reach Di′bon;
Make we make-am empty go reach No′phah;
Fire go spread go reach Med′e·ba.”
31 So Israel start to live for the land of Am′or·ite people. 32 Moses come send some men to go check Ja′zer. Them take over the land wey surround-am and drive Am′or·ite people wey dey there comot. 33 After that one, them turn and follow Ba′shan Road go up. And Og the king of Ba′shan come out with all im people to meet and fight them for Ed′re·i. 34 Jehovah tell Moses say: “No fear-am because I go put-am together with all im people and im land for your hand, and you go do-am the same thing wey you do Si′hon the king of Am′or·ite people wey live for Hesh′bon.” 35 So them continue to strike-am together with im sons and all im people, until nobody among im people survive, and them collect im land.
