7 That night, God appear to Sol′o·mon and tell-am say: “Tell me wetin you want make I give you.” 8 So, Sol′o·mon tell God say: “You don show big love wey no de fail to my papa David, and you don make me king after-am. 9 Now, O Jehovah God, make wetin you promise David my papa happen, because you don make me king to rule this people wey plenty like sand for ground.* 10 Give me sense and make me know how to lead this people,* because who go fit judge this plenty-plenty people wey you get?”
11 Then God tell Sol′o·mon say: “As e be say na wetin really dey your heart be this, and you no beg me for plenty property and money, and honor, or say make people* wey hate you die, and you no beg me to give you long life,* but say make I give you sense and make you know how to judge my people wey I don make you king to rule, 12 I go give you sense and make you know things, but I go still give you property and money and honor wey no king wey dey before you get and wey no king after you go get.”
13 So Sol′o·mon come from the high place wey dey Gib′e·on, from front of the tent of meeting go Jerusalem, and e rule Israel people. 14 And Sol′o·mon continue to gather chariots and horse them,* e get 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horse them,* and e keep them for the chariot cities near the king for Jerusalem. 15 The king make silver and gold plenty like stones for Jerusalem, and e make cedarwood plenty like the sycamore trees wey dey She·phe′lah. 16 Na from Egypt Sol′o·mon buy the horse them wey e get, and the people wey de do business for the king go buy the horse them for group* for one particular price. 17 The money wey them take buy each of the chariots from Egypt na 600 silver pieces, and each of the horse them na 150 silver pieces.
