34 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: “Carve two stone slates for yourself like the first ones, and I go write ontop the slates the words wey be dey the first slates wey you scatter. 2 Make you ready for tomorrow morning, as you go go up for morning to Mount Si′nai, and stay there for my front ontop the mountain. 3 But make nobody go up with you, and no other person go dey anywhere ontop the mountain. Make no sheep, goat, or cow even chop for front of that mountain.”

4 So Moses carve two stone slates like the first ones, and get up for early morning, and go up to Mount Si′nai just as Jehovah don command-am, and e take two stone slates for im hand. 5 Then Jehovah come down for inside the cloud and stay with-am for there and talk about the name of Jehovah. 6 Jehovah de pass front of Moses and de talk say: “Jehovah, Jehovah, God wey de show pity and wey get strong feeling to help, e no de quick vex, and e de always show love wey no de fail and de always talk truth,* 7 e de show love wey no de fail to thousands of people, e de forgive person wey do bad thing, person wey break law and wey sin, but e no go ever leave person wey do bad make e no face punishment. E de allow the sons and grandsons, the grandchildren* and the great grandchildren* to face the punishment for the sin of their papa-papa them.”

8 Quick-quick, Moses bow down and lie down for ground. 9 Then e talk say: “Now, if you want show me favor O Jehovah, then abeg, Jehovah, go with us and dey with us, even though say we be stubborn people,* and forgive us for the bad things wey we do and for our sin, and take us as your own property.” 10 So God answer say: “See, I de make one agreement: For front of all your people, I go do wonderful things wey person never do* before for all the earth or among all the nations, and all the people wey you de live with go see wetin Jehovah de do, because na wonderful thing I de do with you.

11 “Listen well to wetin I de command you today. See, I de drive Am′or·ite people, Ca′naan people, Hitʹtite people, Per′iz·zite people, Hi′vite people, and Je′bus people comot from your front. 12 Make you dey careful make you no make agreement with the people wey de live for the land wey you de go, or this one fit be trap for you. 13 But una go destroy their altars, una go scatter their idol pillars, and una go cut their idol poles* reach ground. 14 Make you no ever bow down to another god, because people know Jehovah say e* want make people worship only-am.* Yes, na God wey want make people worship only-am. 15 Dey careful make you no make agreement with the people wey de live for the land, because when them de do like prostitutes for their gods and do sacrifice to their gods, person go invite you and you go chop from im sacrifice. 16 Then you go surely take some of their daughters for your sons to marry, and their daughters go do like prostitutes for their gods and make your sons to do like prostitutes for their gods.

17 “Make you no ever make gods from metal wey them melt.

18 “Make you do the Festival of Bread Wey No Get Yeast. You go chop bread wey no get yeast, just as I don command you. Do this one for seven days for the time wey I choose for the month of A′bib, because you come out from Egypt for the month of A′bib.

19 “Every firstborn wey be boy* na my own, even for all your animals, whether na firstborn of bull or sheep. 20 You go use one sheep buy back the firstborn of donkey. But if you no buy-am back, then you must break im neck. You go buy back every firstborn from among your sons. Make nobody come my front with empty hand.

21 “You go work for six days, but for the seventh day you go rest.* Even for time wey them de prepare the ground to plant and for harvest time, you go rest.

22 “And you go celebrate your Festival of Weeks with the first ripe fruits of wheat wey you harvest, and the Festival of End of Harvest* for the end of the year.

23 “Three times each year, all your men* go come front of the true Lord, Jehovah, the God of Israel. 24 And I go drive the nations comot from your front and I go make your territory big, and nobody go want take your land as you de go up to see the face of Jehovah your God three times each year.

25 “Make you no ever sacrifice anything wey get yeast together with the blood of my sacrifice. Make you no keep the sacrifice of the festival for the Passover from night go reach morning.

26 “Make you bring the best from the first ripe fruits wey come from your soil to the house of Jehovah your God.

“Make you no ever boil young goat for inside im mama milk.”

27 Jehovah continue to tell Moses say: “Make you write this things wey I talk because I de make agreement with you and with Israel according to this things wey I talk.” 28 And e stay there with Jehovah for 40 days and 40 nights. E no chop food* and drink water. And God* write the words of the agreement ontop the slates, the Ten Commandments.*

29 So Moses come down from Mount Si′nai and the two slates of the Testimony dey im hand. When Moses come down from the mountain, e no know say the skin wey dey im face de shine light because e be de talk with God. 30 When Aaron and all Israel people see Moses, them notice say the skin wey dey im face de shine light, so them de fear to go near-am.

31 But Moses call them, so Aaron and all the chiefs of the people come meet-am, and Moses talk with them. 32 After that one, all Israel people come near-am and e give them all the commandments wey Jehovah don give-am for Mount Si′nai. 33 Anytime wey Moses talk with them finish, e go use cloth cover im face. 34 But anytime wey Moses go inside for front of Jehovah to talk with-am, e go comot the cloth, until e don go outside. Then e go outside and tell Israel people the commandment wey e don receive. 35 And Israel people see say the skin wey dey Moses face de shine light. Then Moses use the cloth cover im face back until e go inside to talk with God.*
