The Second Book of Chronicles
16 For the 36th year wey A′sa don de rule, Ba′a·sha wey be king of Israel come fight Judah and e start to build Ra′mah again* so that nobody go fit de comot or de enter go meet A′sa wey be king of Judah.* 2 So A′sa take the silver and the gold from the place wey them de keep better-better things for Jehovah house and the king house,* and e send them go meet Ben-ha′dad wey be king of Syria, wey de stay for Damascus, and e tell-am say: 3 “One agreement be dey between me and you, and between my papa and your papa. I de send you silver and gold. Come, make you break your agreement with Ba′a·sha wey be king of Israel, so that e go stop to attack me.”
4 Ben-ha′dad hear wetin King A′sa talk, and e send the people wey de control im army make them go fight the cities of Israel, and them kill people for I′jon, Dan, A′bel-ma′im, and all the place wey them de keep things for the cities of Naph′ta·li. 5 As Ba′a·sha just hear-am, quick-quick, e stop to build Ra′mah and e leave the work wey e de do for there. 6 So King A′sa gather everybody for Judah, and them carry the stones and timbers for Ra′mah wey Ba′a·sha be don de use build the place, and e use them build Ge′ba and Miz′pah again.*
7 For that time, Ha·na′ni wey de see vision come meet A′sa wey be king of Judah and tell-am say: “Because you trust the king of Syria and you no trust Jehovah your God, the army of the king of Syria don escape comot from your hand. 8 No be E·thi·o′pi·a people and Lib′y·a people be get plenty-plenty soldiers with plenty chariots and people wey de ride horse? But because you trust Jehovah, e put them for your hand. 9 Because the eyes of Jehovah de really look everywhere for the earth so that e go show im power* for people wey de serve-am with all their heart. You no use sense for this matter; from now go, people go de fight war with you.”
10 But A′sa vex for the person wey de see vision and put-am for prison because wetin the man talk pain-am well-well. And A′sa start to suffer some people among the people that same time. 11 Now, them write the story about A′sa, from the start go reach the end, for the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
12 For the 39th year wey A′sa don de rule, e come get one sickness for im leg wey make-am come de sick well-well; and even with this sickness, e no beg Jehovah to help-am, but e go meet people wey de cure sickness. 13 Then A′sa die like im papa-papa them; e die for the 41st year wey e don de rule. 14 So them bury-am for the big fine grave wey e dig for imself for the City of David, and them put-am for stretcher* wey be say wetin full-am na balsam oil and special cream wey them make with different-different things. Another thing be say, them burn plenty-plenty things wey get better scent when them de bury-am to honor-am.
