Exodus
7 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: “See, I don make you to be like God* to Phar′aoh, and Aaron your own brother go be your prophet. 2 You go repeat everything wey I go command you, and Aaron your brother go talk to Phar′aoh, and e go allow Israel people comot from im land. 3 As for me, I go allow Phar′aoh heart to strong like stone, and I go make my signs and my miracles to plenty for the land of Egypt. 4 But Phar′aoh no go listen to una, and I go use my powerful hand against* Egypt and bring my plenty people,* my people wey be Israel people, come out from the land of Egypt with strong judgments. 5 And Egypt people go surely know say I be Jehovah when I use my power against* Egypt and bring Israel people come out from among them.” 6 Moses and Aaron do wetin Jehovah don command them. Na so them just do. 7 Moses dey 80 years and Aaron dey 83 years when them talk to Phar′aoh.
8 Jehovah come tell Moses and Aaron say: 9 “If Phar′aoh tell una say, ‘Do miracle,’ then tell Aaron say, ‘Take your rod and throw-am for ground for front of Phar′aoh.’ E go turn to big snake.” 10 So Moses and Aaron go meet Phar′aoh and do exactly as Jehovah don command. Aaron throw im stick for ground for front of Phar′aoh and im servants, and the rod turn to big snake. 11 But Phar′aoh call the men wey get sense and the people wey de do magic, and the priests of Egypt wey de do magic still do the same thing with their magic. 12 Each of them throw im stick for ground and them turn to big snakes, but Aaron stick swallow their sticks. 13 Even with that one, Phar′aoh heart strong like stone and e no listen to them, just as Jehovah don talk.
14 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: “Phar′aoh heart no de move-am to change. E no gree allow the people go. 15 Go meet Phar′aoh for morning. See! E de go where water dey! And make you stand for the side of River Nile to meet-am. And as you de go, make you carry your stick wey turn to snake before. 16 And you must tell-am say, ‘Jehovah the God of Hebrew people don send me come meet you, and e talk say: “Allow my people go so that them fit serve me for wilderness,” but you never obey till now. 17 This one na wetin Jehovah talk: “Na this one go make you know say I be Jehovah. See, I go nack the water wey dey River Nile with the stick wey dey my hand, and e go turn to blood. 18 And the fish wey dey River Nile go die, and River Nile go really smell. Egypt people no go fit drink the water from River Nile.”’”
19 Then Jehovah tell Moses say: “Tell Aaron say, ‘Take your stick and stretch your hand face the water wey dey for Egypt, the big-big rivers, the small-small rivers,* the water wey gather for one place, and all the water wey them store, so that them go turn to blood.’ Blood go dey everywhere for the land of Egypt, even for inside the containers wey them make with wood and stone.” 20 Quick-quick, Moses and Aaron do just as Jehovah don command. E raise the stick and nack the water wey dey River Nile for front of Phar′aoh and im servants, and all the water wey dey the river turn to blood. 21 And the fish for the river die, and the river start to really smell. Egypt people no fit drink the water from River Nile, and blood dey everywhere for the land of Egypt.
22 But the priests of Egypt wey de do magic do the same thing with their magic power, so Phar′aoh heart continue to strong like stone, and e no gree listen to Moses and Aaron just as Jehovah don talk. 23 Then Phar′aoh go back to im house, and e no even think about this thing.* 24 So all Egypt people start to dig round River Nile for water wey them go drink, because them no fit drink any water from River Nile. 25 Seven full days pass after Jehovah turn the River Nile to blood.
