“Make Wuna Stand Strong and No Shake”

² Person wey de worship Jehovah no only need to dey strong, but still need to ready to adjust when things change. E need to stand strong and no de shake when e concern Jehovah law. (Read 1 Corinthians 15:58.) E dey “ready to obey” all Jehovah law and e no de fear. But this one no mean say e no ready to adjust when things change. (Jas. 3:17) When servant of Jehovah de do like this, e no go talk say na e own them must take every time and no be everything e go de accept. For this article, we go talk about how we fit show say we stand strong for Jehovah side. We go still talk about five things wey Satan de use to make-am hard for us to stand strong for Jehovah side and we go learn how we fit stand against-am.

HOW WE FIT SHOW SAY WE STAND STRONG?

3. Which Jehovah law dey for Acts 15:28, 29?

³ As the God wey make heaven and earth, na Jehovah de give us Law and e de always give law wey easy for e people to understand. (Isa. 33:22) For apostle time, the governing body talk three ways wey Christians need to stand strong. (1) Worship only Jehovah. (2) Obey Jehovah law about blood because blood dey holy. (3) Obey Jehovah law wey talk say make we run from sex wey no clean. (Read Acts 15:28, 29.) So how Christians today fit show say them de obey Jehovah for this three ways?

4. How we de show say we de worship only Jehovah? (Revelation 4:11)

⁴ Make we worship only Jehovah. Jehovah command Israel people say make them no worship any other god. (Deut. 5:6-10) And when Satan tempt Jesus, Jesus tell-am clear say na only Jehovah we must worship. (Matt. 4:8-10) So we no suppose worship any image. And we no de worship people. For example, we no de treat people wey de lead for religion, politics, or wey de do sport or act film, like say them be god. Na only Jehovah, the God wey “make everything,” we de worship.—Read Revelation 4:11.

5. Why we de obey Jehovah law about blood?

⁵ We de obey Jehovah law about blood because blood dey holy. Why? Because for Jehovah eye, blood na life. And life na special gift from-am. (Lev. 17:14) When Jehovah allow people to start to chop animal, e say make them chop only the meat no be the blood. (Gen. 9:4) Later when e give the Law to Israel people, e still tell them say make them no chop blood. (Lev. 17:10) And for apostles time, Jehovah use governing body command all Christians say make them “continue to avoid . . . blood.” (Acts 15:28, 29) So we de use all our heart obey this command when we want decide the kind treatment wey we go accept.b

6. Wetin we go do to fit obey Jehovah law to run from sex wey no clean?

⁶ We de obey Jehovah law say make we run from sex wey no clean. (Heb. 13:4) Apostle Paul make this one clear when e advice us say make we remove anything from our body wey fit push us to do all kind sex wey no clean. This one mean say we go run from anything wey fit make us like to do sex wey no clean. So we no go de look or do anything wey fit make us do sex wey no clean. (Col. 3:5; Job 31:1) Because we no want make our friendship with Jehovah spoil, we no de waste time to run from anything way fit make us do sex wey no clean.

7. Wetin we must make up our mind to do, and why?

⁷ Jehovah want make we use all our heart obey-am. (Rom. 6:17) Na wetin go good for us e de always tell us say make we do, and we no get right to select the law wey we go obey and the one wey we no go obey. (Isa. 48:17, 18; 1 Cor. 6:9, 10) We de do our best to make Jehovah happy and get the kind mind wey the person wey write Psalm 119, get. E talk say: “I don decide to obey your laws everytime, and I go obey-am finish.” (Ps. 119:112) But Satan go try to make-am hard for us to obey Jehovah. How e de do this one?

HOW SATAN DE MAKE-AM HARD FOR US TO OBEY JEHOVAH?

8. Wetin be one thing wey Satan de do to make-am hard for us to do wetin Jehovah want?

⁸ Satan de suffer us because we de worship Jehovah. Satan de make people suffer us and e fit make life tire us so that e go hard us to do wetin Jehovah want. Wetin e want na to spoil our friendship with Jehovah. (1 Pet. 5:8) Christians for apostle time really suffer for Satan hand. People beat them, threaten them, and even kill some of them because them don decide to obey Jehovah. (Acts 5:27, 28, 40; 7:54-60) Na the same thing Satan still de do today. We de see this one for the way Russia and other country de suffer our brothers and sisters. And for different-different place for this world, people wey dey against our work still de suffer our brothers and sisters.

9. Give example wey show how Satan de use cunning to make us no obey Jehovah.

⁹ E de use cunning. No be only to suffer us Satan de use try make us no do wetin Jehovah want. But e still de set trap for us. (Eph. 6:11) See the example of wetin happen to one brother wey e name na Bob, when e want do operation for hospital. E tell the doctors say no matter wetin happen, e no go take blood. Them agree and talk say them go treat-am the way e want. But the night before the day wey them go do the operation, one of the doctors go meet Brother Bob after e family people don go house. The doctor tell Brother Bob say them fit no use blood for the operation, but them go just keep-am for one corner just in case them go need-am. The doctor think say Brother Bob go change e mind when e family people no dey there. But Brother Bob stand strong and e no change e mind. E tell them say no matter wetin happen, e no go take blood.

10. Why we no suppose think the way people for this world de think? (1 Corinthians 3:19, 20)

¹⁰ E want make we de think like people for this world. If we de think like people wey no value Jehovah law, we go start to do things like them and we no go obey Jehovah law again. (Read 1 Corinthians 3:19, 20.) The way people de think and do things for this world, de make people no de obey God. Some brothers and sisters for Pergamum and Thyatira follow the bad example of people wey dey around them wey de worship idol and do sex wey no clean. Jesus give the two congregation strong correction because them no de do anything to people wey do sex wey no clean. (Rev. 2:14, 20) For this our time, people for Satan world de try to make us de do like them. Our family members and other people fit tell us say make we try de enjoy ourself and want make we do wetin Jehovah no like. For example, them fit talk say Bible na old school so e no matter if we do sex wey no clean for God eye.

11. As we de worship Jehovah, wetin we no go do?

¹¹ Sometimes, we fit de think say the things wey Jehovah say make we do, no clear finish. If we no dey careful, this one fit make us want do “pass wetin they don write.” (1 Cor. 4:6) This na wetin happen to people wey de lead for Jew people religion for Jesus time. Them add their own rules join the Law wey Jehovah give them and this one make-am hard for people to obey Jehovah Law. (Matt. 23:4) Jehovah de use Bible and e organization tell us wetin we go do. We no get any reason to add something join wetin Jehovah and e organization don tell us. (Prov. 3:5-7) So we no go do pass wetin Jehovah don talk for Bible and we no go make rules for our brothers and sisters about matter wey Bible no put law.

12. How Satan de spread lie-lie story?

¹² E de try deceive us. Satan de use lie-lie story and things wey people for this world de teach, deceive and make people hate each other. (Col. 2:8) For apostles time, some of this lie-lie story na people idea wey de show sense for this world, wetin Jew people de teach wey Bible no support, and the teaching say Christians must follow the Law wey Jehovah give Israel people. This teaching de deceive people because e de comot people mind from the sense wey come from Jehovah. For this our time, Satan de use television program and Internet spread lie-lie story and fake news. And na people for politics e dey use do this one. We see plenty of this kind lie-lie story for coronavirus time.c Jehovah people wey listen to wetin Jehovah organization talk, no worry like the people wey listen to the lie-lie story for this world.—Matt. 24:45.

13. Why we need to dey careful make things no comot our mind from wetin dey important pass?

¹³ E de try use different-different things comot our mind from wetin dey important. Make we no allow anything comot our mind from “wetin dey important pass.” (Phil. 1:9, 10) When we allow our mind comot from wetin dey important, e go make us waste the time and power wey we for use do better thing. If we put our mind for only the things wey we de do everyday, like to chop, drink, do exercise, and work, them no go make us get time to think about wetin dey important pass. (Luke 21:34, 35) Another thing be say, everyday we de hear and read news about protest and politics matter. But make we make sure say this things no comot our mind from wetin dey important pass. Because if we no dey careful, we fit start to support one side for inside our mind. Satan de use all this things wey we don talk about, to make-am hard for us to obey Jehovah. Make we talk about wetin we fit do make we no fall for Satan trap.

WETIN GO HELP US CONTINUE TO HOLD JEHOVAH TIGHT?

14. Wetin be one thing wey go help you continue to hold Jehovah tight?

¹⁴ Think deep about why you give Jehovah your life and baptize. You give Jehovah your life and baptize because you want support Jehovah and e Kingdom. Remember the things wey make you believe say this na the truth. You learn about Jehovah, and this one make your love and respect for-am grow and you come de see-am as your Papa for heaven. Wetin you learn from Bible make you get strong faith and make you comot hand for bad things and start to do wetin Jehovah want. Your mind really come down when you see say Jehovah don forgive you. (Ps. 32:1, 2) You start to go meeting, and preach to people about the better-better things wey you don learn. Now wey you don give Jehovah your life and baptize, you don de waka for the road wey go make you get life wey no go end. And you don make up your mind say you go continue to waka for this road.—Matt. 7:13, 14.

15. Why e good make we de study and think deep about wetin we learn?

¹⁵ Study Bible and think deep about wetin you learn. Just as tree de stand well if e root dey deep for ground, na so our faith go make us stand well if we de study Bible everytime. As tree de grow, e root go de enter ground more-more and de spread go far. When we de study Bible and think deep about wetin we learn, this one go make our faith strong more-more and we go dey sure say to obey Jehovah law na the best thing for us. (Col. 2:6, 7) Think about how advice and law from Jehovah help e servant for Bible time and how e protect them. For example, prophet Ezekiel sofri watch and listen as one angel de measure one temple wey e show-am for vision. This vision make prophet Ezekiel faith strong. And e teach us plenty things about how we fit worship Jehovah for the correct way.d (Ezek. 40:1-4; 43:10-12) We too go gain when we take time study Bible and think deep about wetin we learn.

16. How strong heart help Brother Bob? (Psalm 112:7)

¹⁶ Make your heart strong. Wetin King David talk show say e love for Jehovah no go ever shake. Even though say soldiers for Israel that time no get wetin them fit use protect theirself and fight their enemy for war, Jehovah tell Barak say make e go fight Sisera and e army wey get plenty weapon. (Judg. 5:8) Jehovah use Deborah tell Barak say make e go down from mountain to where ground level, go fight Sisera and e 900 chariot. Even though Barak know say e no go easy for them to fight Sisera and e men wey get plenty chariot if them dey level ground, e still obey Jehovah. As Barak and e men de come down from Mount Tabor, Jehovah make heavy rain fall. This one make potopoto no allow Sisera and e men to fit use their chariots fight, na so Jehovah take make Barak win the war. (Judg. 4:1-7, 10, 13-16) For the same way, Jehovah go make us succeed if we trust-am and obey wetin e use e organization tell us to do.—Deut. 31:6.

MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO CONTINUE TO HOLD JEHOVAH TIGHT

19. Why you want continue to hold Jehovah tight?

¹⁹ As we still de live for this Satan world, we go continue to fight to fit stand strong for Jehovah side. (1 Tim. 6:11, 12; 2 Pet. 3:17) As we don talk for this article, Satan fit use people suffer us because we de worship Jehovah, try to use cunning way to trap us, try to make us think like people for this world, try to use lie-lie teaching to deceive us, or try comot our mind from wetin dey important pass, but make we no let anything push us comot from Jehovah side. (Eph. 4:14) Instead we go continue to hold Jehovah tight and obey all e law. But we still need to always use our sense well and ready to adjust when things change.
