E win Philistia people because e trust Jehovah.

6. Wetin we fit learn from Samson when we de do our work for Jehovah organization?

⁶ Just as Jehovah help Samson, e go still give us power to do the work wey e give us even if e be like say the work pass our power. And the way Jehovah go do this one fit surprise us. So trust Jehovah say e go help you do wetin e want, just as e give Samson power to fit win im enemy them.—Prov. 16:3.

7. Give one example wey show say e dey important to beg Jehovah make e direct us.

⁷ Many brothers and sisters wey de build for Jehovah organization don show say them trust Jehovah. Before-before, na our brothers de draw the plan of how our building go be and build them. But as time de go and Jehovah organization de grow, we see say we need to change the way we de handle this work. The brothers wey de direct the work pray to Jehovah make e help them and them try new way to do the work. For example, them go buy building and renovate-am. Brother Robert wey don work for construction around the world, talk say: “When we start this new way, e no easy for some of the brothers and sisters to follow-am. E really different from wetin we de do before. But the brothers and sisters ready to adjust. And e really dey clear say Jehovah de bless this new way wey we de use now.” This one na only one example of how Jehovah de direct im people to fit do wetin e want. Make we de always ask ourself say, ‘I de always follow the way Jehovah de direct im organization and ready to adjust so that I go fit serve-am for the best way?’

SAMSON USE WETIN JEHOVAH GIVE-AM

8. One time wey water start to hungry Samson, wetin e do?

⁸ You fit remember other wonderful things wey Samson do? E kill lion with im hand and later, e kill 30 Philistia men for Ashkelon. (Judg. 14:5, 6, 19) Samson know say e no go fit do all this one if Jehovah no help-am. We know this one because of wetin e do when water start to hungry-am after e don kill 1,000 Philistia soldiers. Wetin e do? Instead make e go find water by imself, e pray to Jehovah say make e help-am.—Judg. 15:18.

E and im wife get program wey them de follow to study Bible. E talk say: “I de try make I no miss my personal study and I de do my Bible reading everyday. Every morning, me and my wife de read daily text, talk about wetin we learn and pray together.” Wetin this one de teach us? Instead to de do things with our own power, make we trust Jehovah. How? Na to de do things wey go make our faith strong, like to de study Bible, de pray, go meeting and preaching. If we do this one, Jehovah go give us the power wey we need to continue to serve-am. Jehovah go help us just as e help Samson.

SAMSON NO STOP TO WORSHIP JEHOVAH

12. Which bad decision Samson make and how this one take different from wetin happen to-am before?

¹² Samson get sin for body like us, so sometimes e make bad decision. One time, e make one decision wey put-am for serious trouble because e no think about the work wey Jehovah give-am. After Samson don be judge for sometime, “e fall in love with one woman wey de live for Valley of Sorek wey im name na Delilah.” (Judg. 16:4) Before this time, Samson be want marry one Philistia woman. But that time, na Jehovah want make e marry the woman so that e go get the chance to fight Philistia people. Later, Samson stay for one prostitute house for Gaza wey be one city for Philistia. And Jehovah give-am power to remove the gate of the city and carry-am comot. This one go make-am easy for enemy to fit enter the city. (Judg. 14:1-4; 16:1-3) But Samson marriage to Delilah dey different because no be Jehovah tell-am say make e marry-am and e be like say Delilah na Israel person, no be Philistia person.

13. How Delilah put Samson for trouble?

¹³ Philistia people give Delilah big money so that e go fit tell them how to catch Samson. E fit be say because Samson too love Delilah, e trust Delilah sotey e no see the kind bad thing wey Delilah get for mind. Delilah continue to ask-am wetin de give-am power. E worry Samson until e tell-am. Because of this mistake wey Samson make, e lost im power and Jehovah no happy with-am for sometime.—Judg. 16:16-20.

14. Wetin happen to Samson because e trust Delilah?

¹⁴ Samson really suffer because e trust Delilah instead of Jehovah. Philistia people catch Samson and blind-am. Them put-am for prison for Gaza, the same place wey e don fight and win them before. And for the prison, im work na to de grind seeds. Then, for one of their celebration, them bring-am come out. And them do plenty sacrifice to their god wey be Dagon, because them believe say na im help them fit catch Samson. Them bring Samson from prison to where them de do the party because them want laugh-am.—Judg. 16:21-25.

15. How Samson show say e still trust Jehovah? (Judges 16:28-30) (Check picture for front cover.)

¹⁵ Even though say Samson make serious mistake, e no stop to worship Jehovah. E still look for chance to fight against Philistia people because this na the work wey Jehovah give-am. (Read Judges 16:28-30.) Samson pray to Jehovah say: “Abeg, . . . give me power this last time, O God, so that I fit pay this Philistia people back.” Jehovah answer Samson prayer and make-am get power again. Because of this one, Philistia people wey Samson kill that day plenty pass the ones wey e don kill before.

16. Wetin we fit learn from Samson even though say e make mistake?

¹⁶ Even though say Samson suffer because of im mistake, e no stop to do im best for the work wey Jehovah give-am. Even if we make mistake and them give us strong correction or no allow us to de do the work wey we be de do for Jehovah organization, make we no stop to worship Jehovah. Remember say when we make mistake, Jehovah no de troway us. (Ps. 103:8-10) Even with our mistake, we fit still dey useful to Jehovah just like Samson.

¹⁷ Make we see the example of one brother wey im name na Michael. Na ministerial servant and regular pioneer for im congregation. But e do something wey make-am no be ministerial servant and regular pioneer again. E talk say: “Before this thing happen, I de do my best for my congregation and de worship Jehovah well. But before I know, I start to feel say I no fit do anything for Jehovah service again. I know say Jehovah no go troway me, but I wonder if my friendship with-am go ever be as e be before or if I go ever fit do the things wey I de do for congregation before.”

¹⁸ The good thing be say Brother Michael no stop to worship Jehovah. E talk say: “I do my best to get my friendship with Jehovah again. To fit do this one, I start to study and think deep about wetin I study and I always pray to Jehovah every time and tell-am everything wey dey my mind.” After some time, Brother Michael become ministerial servant and regular pioneer again for im congregation. Now, e don be elder and e still be regular pioneer. E talk say: “The support and encouragement from brothers and sisters for congregation, especially the elders, help me see say Jehovah still love me. Now I de fit do my work for congregation with clean conscience. Wetin happen to me teach me say Jehovah ready to forgive anybody wey really repent.” We too fit dey sure say even if we don make mistake before, Jehovah go use us and still bless us only if we comot hand from wetin we do and continue to worship-am.—Ps. 86:5; Prov. 28:13.

19. Wetin you don learn from Samson example?

¹⁹ For this article, we don learn from some of the things wey happen for Samson life. Even though say e no dey perfect, e continue to do im best to serve Jehovah even after e make serious mistake as e tell Delilah wetin de give-am power. Jehovah no stop to use Samson. Later, Jehovah use Samson again for big way.
