After Jew people come back from Babylon, them no do anything for 16 years. Prophet Haggai and Zechariah try to encourage the people, and them start to de build the temple again. But after small time, Persian officials come challenge them for the work. The officials ask them say: “Who give wuna the power to build this house?”—Ezra 5:1-3.
Them really need to dey careful with the way them go answer. If the elders show say them de fear, the officials go get chance to stop the work. If the elders talk anyhow, the officials go ban the work. So the elders (wey Governor Zerubbabel and High Priest Joshua de lead) come think of better way to answer. 7 Something happen wey help the people wey de build the temple. Wetin be that? For the year 520 B.C.E., one new king wey them de call Darius I, de rule Persia. For the second year wey e rule as king, e find out say the order to stop the construction work for the temple, dey against the law of the country. Then Darius talk say make they complete the work. (Ezra 6:1-3) That news surprise everybody, but no be only that one happen. The king give order to the nations wey dey around say make they stop to give trouble to Jew people, and say make they give them money and everything wey they need to finish the work for the temple! (Ezra 6:7-12) Because of this one, after about four years, for the year 515 B.C.E., the Jew people build the temple finish.—Ezra 6:15.

16 Jehovah still de use “the faithful and discreet slave” de give us direction today. (Matt. 24:45) Sometimes, this slave fit give us direction wey we no really understand. For example, the slave fit tell us wetin and wetin to do to prepare us make we fit survive, when things like heavy rain or fire scatter our property. 7:28–8:20—Why many Jews wey dey Babylon no want go back to Jerusalem with Ezra? Even though say e don pass 60 years since the first group of Jews go back to their homeland, people wey de Jerusalem still no plenty and many place dey wey people never de stay. To go back to Jerusalem mean say them go start new life again for condition wey dey dangerous and wey no go dey easy at all. The Jerusalem wey dey now no fine for eye again and no be place wey people go fit live big life again as e fit don be for them for Babylon. Jehovah give this law because Ammon people and Moab people no gree help Israel people the time wey them don almost reach the Promise Land. The way they understand this law be say, this people no go fit be full members of the nation of Israel, and them no go fit get all the right wey Israel people get and the better-better things wey de follow that right. But this one no mean say Ammon people and Moab people no go fit do things with Israel people or say them no go fit stay for their land and gain from the blessings wey God people get. Tobiah and e friends dey against Nehemiah the time wey them de build Jerusalem wall. (Neh. 2:10) Jehovah Law forbid Ammon people to enter the temple. 6 If we really hold Jehovah tight, we no go make friends with people wey be Jehovah enemies. Na e make James wey be Jesus disciple talk say: “Wuna wey no de serve God with all wuna heart, wuna no know say people wey de make friend with the world na enemy of God? So, anybody wey want be the friend of this world, de make e self enemy of God.” (James 4:4) We want hold Jehovah tight like David wey talk say: “O Jehovah, I no hate people wey hate you, and hate people wey dey against you? I really hate them; they don be real enemies to me.” (Psalms 139:21, 22) We no want de rob body with anybody wey de open eye do bad things, because we no get anything wey suppose bring us together.
