Show Say You Trust Jehovah

Proverbs 3:5, 6—“No Trust the Things Wey You Know”
“Trust Jehovah with all your heart.” We de show say we trust God when we de do things the way E want. We must trust God with all our heart. Many times when Bible talk about heart, e de talk about the person wey we be for inside. This one mean how we de feel, the reason why we de do things, the way we de think, and how we de behave. So, to trust God with all our heart pass the way we de feel. Na wetin we choose to do because we really dey sure say the Person wey create us know wetin better pass for us.—Romans 12:1.
“No trust the things wey you know.” We need to trust God because the way we de think no dey perfect. If we trust ourself or allow the way we de feel to direct us, we fit choose something wey go be like say e good for the beginning but wey go bring bad result for the end. (Proverbs 14:12; Jeremiah 17:9) The way God de think better pass our own well-well. (Isaiah 55:8, 9) When we allow the way E de think to direct us, our life go really better.—Psalm 1:1-3; Proverbs 2:6-9; 16:20.

Proverbs 3:5, 6—“No Trust the Things Wey You Know”
“Remember-am for all the things wey you de do.” We need to know how God de think about everything wey we de do for our life, and for every important decision wey we want make. We fit do this one when we de pray to-am to direct us and when we de follow wetin dey inside im Word, wey be Bible.—Psalm 25:4; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.
“E go make your road dey straight.” God de make our road dey straight as e de help us live our life the way wey e want. (Proverbs 11:5) This one de protect us from some problem and de help us happy more-more as we de live our life.—Psalm 19:7, 8; Isaiah 48:17, 18.

De Make Progress—De Grow
When person don get plenty experience for life, e fit start to de think say: ‘I don see this kind thing before, so I know wetin I suppose do.’ E go really good to think like this? Proverbs 3:7 warn us say: “No de think for your mind say na you get sense pass.” Na true say our experience for life fit give us ideas about how to handle some kind situation wey we fit face. But if we really de grow for Jehovah organization, our experience suppose still make us know for our heart and mind say we need Jehovah blessing to fit succeed. We go show say we don mature when we de trust Jehovah to direct us for any matter, instead make we de trust the sense wey we get. We de show say we de grow when we dey sure say nothing fit happen without Jehovah permission, when we continue to trust-am, and de maintain our friendship with-am because na im be our Papa for heaven.

‘Protect Your Heart’
How You Fit Protect Your Heart?
4 For Proverbs 4:23, the word for “heart” de talk about “the person wey we be for inside” or “the secret person” wey we be. (Read Psalm 51:6 and footnote.) We fit still talk say “the heart” na the things wey only us de think about, the way we de feel, the reason why we de do things, and the things wey we de like or want. Na the kind of person wey we really be for inside, no be just the way people de see us for outside.
How You Fit Protect Your Heart?
10 If we want protect our heart, we need to fit see danger and do something quick-quick to protect ourself. The word wey them translate as “protect (safeguard)” for Proverbs 4:23 de remind us of the work wey watchman de do. For the time of King Solomon, watchmen de stand on-top the walls of the city to protect-am. If them see say trouble de come, them go let other people know. This explanation fit help us understand the thing wey we must do so that Satan no go spoil our mind.
11 For Bible time, watchmen de work together with gatemen (or gatekeepers). (2 Sam. 18:24-26) Watchmen and gatemen de join hand together to protect the city. Them de make sure say the gate no dey open anytime wey them see enemy de near the city. (Neh. 7:1-3) When we use Bible train our conscience, e fit be like watchman for us anytime wey Satan de try to attack our heart. E go warn us when Satan want poison how we de think, how we de feel, the reason why we de do things, and the things wey we de like or want. Anytime wey our conscience warn us about any danger, we need to listen and do everything wey we fit do make the danger no near us.
How You Fit Protect Your Heart?
14 If we want protect our heart, we no go only block-am from things wey fit poison-am, but we go still allow good things enter. Think about the example of the city wey wall surround-am. The gateman go close the gate of the city make enemy no enter and attack the people. But another time, e go still open the gate so that people go fit carry food and other things enter the city. If them no open the gate at all, hunger go kill the people for inside the city. Na so e still be if we want make the way God de think de affect us. We need to always open our heart for good things to enter.

‘Protect Your Heart!’
Why e good make we protect the person wey we be for inside? God move King Solomon to write say: “Na your heart you go protect pass any other thing, because na the heart life de come from.” (Proverbs 4:23) The kind life wey we de live now and how our future life go be, depend on the kind person wey we be for inside. Why? Because God de see wetin dey our heart. (1 Samuel 16:7) Na the secret person wey we be, “the kind person wey [we] be for inside,” de help us know how God de feel about us.—1 Peter 3:4.

But this verse fit still help us understand how servant of God de change some things for e life and de near Jehovah more-more. To make change and to near Jehovah more no be one day work. Sense Wey Ant Get. The sense wey ant get no be just because them sabi think well, but na because of the way God make them. Bible talk about ant say them de store their food for time wey weather good and them de gather their food for harvest time. (Pr 6:8) One kind of ant wey them de see well-well for Palestine na the one wey them de call the harvester or agricultural ant (Messor semirufus). This ants de gather plenty food when weather good. Them de use-am for other times, like winter time when weather no good and e go dey hard for them to find food. Many times, them de see this kind ant for where them de separate grain from plant, where seed and grain de plenty. If the seed wey this ant them don store for somewhere come be like say e de wet because of how the weather be, the ants go carry the seed put for sun to dry-am. The ant fit even bite the part of the seed wey don de spoil comot so that the seed no go start to grow. Them de easily notice group of harvester ants because them de follow the same line, and because of the back of seed or kanda wey them de leave for front of where them de stay.
Better Example From Ant. So, na the things wey them see when them really look the ant well force them to talk say: “Go see ant, you wey lazy, study how e de behave make you get sense.” (Pr 6:6) The main thing about the sense wey them get no be only say them de prepare for the future, but the way them de work hard and as them no de tire still really make sense. Many times, them de carry or drag things wey be times two of their weight or wey fit even pass. Protect Your Name
Like ant, e no go good make we de work hard? To de work hard and to de make the way we de do our work de better really good for us, whether na when people de watch us or not. Yes, whether na for school, for where we de work, or when we de do things wey concern our worship, make we de do our best. Just as ant de gain when them de do hard work, na so God want make we de ‘enjoy because of our hard work.’ (Ecclesiastes 3:13, 22; 5:18) When we de do hard work, we go dey satisfied and we go get clean conscience.—Ecclesiastes 5:12.
Solomon use two questions to try to help person wey dey lazy. E say: “How long you go lie down for there, you lazy person? Which time you go wake up from your sleep?” To show how lazy person de do-am, the king still talk say: “Small sleep, to doze off small, to fold hand small to rest, and your poverty go surely come like say thief attack you, and like say armed robber collect everything wey you get.” (Proverbs 6:9-11) As lazy person no de like to do anything, e de quick enter poverty and e no de get anything. E go just be like say thief attack-am and like say armed robber collect im property. The farm of lazy person de quick full with different-different kind of grass. The seven things wey proverbs mention na the main things and e cover almost all type of bad things. “Proud eyes” and “heart wey de plan wicked things” na sin wey person de commit with the way e de think. “Lie-lie tongue” and “person wey de use all e power support lie against another person” na sin wey person de commit with the things wey e de talk. “Hand wey de kill innocent person” and “leg wey de run quick-quick to do bad” na sin wey person de commit with the things wey e de do. And another one wey Jehovah really hate well-well na person wey de like to cause problem between people wey for fit de live together in peace. The things wey them de use do communion sacrifice for temple na meat, flour, oil, and wine. (Leviticus 19:5, 6; 22:21; Numbers 15:8-10) Since the person wey de do this sacrifice fit do-am for imself and im family, the woman use style talk say plenty things to eat and drink dey im house. E say: “l don spread fine bed sheet wey get different fine color, wey l get from Egypt on top my bed. I don sprinkle my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.” (Proverbs 7:16, 17) E don prepare im bed for way wey go catch eye with fine-fine cloth from Egypt wey get fine colour, and e don spray-am with perfume wey get fine smell of myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
The woman tell the young man say: “Come make we drink love belleful until morning, make we enjoy sweet love together.” E clear say this invitation no be just for two people to come chop sweet food together. The promise wey this woman de give the young man na say them go enjoy sex together. To the young man, wetin the woman de talk don de make sense! To make-am really sweet for the man eye, the woman still talk say: “Because my husband no dey house, e don travel go far. E no see the danger until “arrow chuk e liver.” This one mean say e no see the danger until e receive wound wey fit kill-am. This death fit be normal death since e expose imself to disease from sex wey no clean. The wound fit still mean say e go lost im friendship with Jehovah, and “e go use e life pay.” E whole body and im life don spoil, and e don really sin against God. “I Love the Papa”
8 Wetin the Son de do for the plenty time wey e stay before e come this earth? Verse 30 tell us say e dey with God as “master worker.” Wetin that one mean? Colossians 1:16 explain say: “God use-am make all other things for heaven and for earth . . . God make all the other things through-am and for-am.” So Jehovah wey make everything, use im Son wey be the Master Worker, make all this things—from the spirit angels wey de heaven, go reach the sky wey we de see, to the earth with im different kind of plants and animals, and the one wey e make wey high pass for the earth wey be human being. For some ways, we fit say the way the Papa and the Son de cooperate with each other just be like the way architect and builder, or contractor wey de make the design of the architect dey real, take de work together. When we see anything wey really surprise us for the things wey Jehovah make, we de give praise to the Great Architect wey be Jehovah. (Psalm 19:1) But we fit still remember the long and happy time wey the Creator and im “master worker” take work together.
9 When two people wey no dey perfect work together, e de hard for them to fit cooperate with each other sometimes. No be so e be with Jehovah and im Son! The Son work with the Papa for many-many years and e talk say: “All the time I dey happy as I dey with God.” (Proverbs 8:30) Yes, e really de happy to dey with im Papa. And na so the two of them de feel. The son come really grow to be like im Papa as e suppose be, e come get plenty character like im Papa own. No wonder, them come really dey close to each other and their friendship with each other come really strong! We fit talk say na their friendship strong pass and na im don stay long pass any other friendship for the whole world.

Value Jesus—E Big Pass David and Solomon
14 E clear say na only one person get better sense pass Solomon. Na Jesus Christ wey describe imself as “something wey pass Solomon.” (Matt. 12:42) Jesus talk “things wey go make person get life wey no go end.” (John 6:68) For example, the things wey Jesus teach on top mountain talk more about some of the advice for Solomon proverbs. Solomon talk about many things wey fit make person wey de worship Jehovah really happy. (Prov. 3:13; 8:32, 33; 14:21; 16:20) Jesus come make-am clear say true happiness de come from things wey connect with Jehovah worship and the things wey God don promise. E talk say: “People wey know say them need God for their life go happy, because the Kingdom wey dey heaven na for them.” (Matt. 5:3) People wey de follow the things wey Jesus teach de near Jehovah wey “de give life” more-more. (Ps. 36:9; Prov. 22:11; Matt. 5:8) Christ na the “sense of God.” (1 Cor. 1:24, 30) As the Messiah and King, Jesus Christ get the “spirit wey de give sense.”—Isa. 11:2.

Better Sense De Shout—You De Hear-Am?
▪ The book wey them de call The World Book Encyclopedia talk say, ‘na Bible be the book wey don reach many place pass any other book, na im them don translate pass and them don translate-am for many language pass any other book.’ Whether na the whole Bible or na part of-am, e don dey available now for nearly 2,600 language. This one don make-am fit reach plenty family wey don pass 90 percent for this world today.
▪ We fit still talk say better sense ‘de shout de cry.’ For Mathew 24:14, we read say: “Them go preach this good news of the Kingdom for the whole world, so that all the nations go hear-am, and after that one, the end [of this world wey we dey now] go come.”

Be Person Wey Get Sense, No Be Person Wey No De Take Correction
“Listen Well to Wetin the Person Wey Get Sense De Talk”
4 E fit really hard us to accept advice wey come for direct way. This one fit even make us vex. Why? Even as we de gree say we de make mistake, if person tell us about one mistake wey we don make, the advice fit hard us to accept. (Read Ecclesiastes 7:9.) We fit no accept say na our fault. We fit de suspect why the person give the advice or de vex for the way e give the advice. We fit even de talk bad about the person wey give the advice, and de think say: ‘Which right e even get to advice me? E think say e better pass me?’ And if we no like the advice, we fit troway-am or tell another person to advice us, because we think say e go tell us wetin we go like to hear.
“Listen Well to Wetin the Person Wey Get Sense De Talk”
12 Wetin fit help us to accept advice? We need to dey humble and remember say we no dey perfect, and say we fit do things wey really dey foolish sometimes. As we don talk before, Job no be de think for the correct way. But after, e change the way e de think. And because of that one, e receive blessing from Jehovah. Why? Because Job dey humble. E show say e really dey humble as e accept the correction from Elihu, even though say e really senior Elihu. (Job 32:6, 7) And when we dey humble, this one go help us accept the correction, even when we feel say we no do wetin go make us receive that kind correction, or when the person wey de give the correction young pass us. One elder for Canada talk say: “Since we no de see ourself the way other people de see us, how we go fit grow if nobody advice us?” All of us need to grow for the way we de show the different-different character wey the spirit de give, and the way we de do our preaching work.—Read Psalm 141:5.
13 See advice as love from God. Jehovah want the best thing for us. (Prov. 4:20-22) Jehovah de show say e love us when e use e Word, our book them, or any brother or sister for congregation, to give us advice. Hebrews 12:9, 10 talk say: “God de correct us for our own good.”
14 Put mind for the advice, no be for the way the person give the advice. Sometimes, we fit feel say the person wey give us advice, no give-am for correct way. The truth be say, anybody wey want give advice suppose give-am for way wey go make-am easy for person to accept-am. (Gal. 6:1) But if to say na we person de give advice, e good make we put our mind for wetin we fit learn from the advice, even though say the person wey de give the advice no de give-am for correct way. We fit ask ourself this questions: ‘Even though say I no like the way the person give the advice, I fit learn something from wetin the person talk? I fit do like say I no see the mistake of the person wey de give the advice, and learn from the advice?’ E go really good if we find way to gain from any advice wey we receive.—Prov. 15:31.

If We Get Better Sense, We Go Live Long
The way person wey get sense take de answer when them correct-am na the opposite of how person wey no de accept correction take de answer. Solomon talk say: “Correct person wey get sense, and e go love you. Teach person wey get sense, and e go get more sense.” (Proverbs 9:8b, 9a) Person wey get sense know say “no correction de sweet the time wey person receive-am, instead, e de pain. But after, for people wey the correction don train, the gain na peace wey be to do the correct thing for God eye.” (Hebrews 12:11) Even though say correction be like say e de pain, why we go want fight back if person correct us, or de try to defend ourself since na something wey go make us get more sense if we accept-am?
The wise king continue to talk say: “Teach person wey dey righteous, and e go learn more.” (Proverbs 9:9b) Nobody get sense finish or don too old to continue to learn. E de really make us happy to see people wey don old de accept the truth and dedicate theirself to Jehovah! Make we always dey ready to continue to learn new things and make our mind de work.

If We Get Better Sense, We Go Live Long
Na each of us get the work to do our best to get better sense. Na wetin Solomon de try talk when e say: “If you get sense, you get-am for your own good; and if you de use other people do yeye, na only you go suffer the result.” (Proverbs 9:12) Person wey get sense, get sense for e own good, and na the person wey de use other people do yeye go get the blame for e own suffer. True-true, we go harvest wetin we plant. So make we de ‘listen with our ear so that we go get sense.’—Proverbs 2:2.
