Imibuzo Evela Kubafundi

AmaKristu afanele axhalabe kangakanani ngenxalenye yegazi, enjengesiyilelo esomisiweyo, esenokuba igalelwe ekutyeni?

Ukuba kukho isizathu esibambekayo esiyinyaniso sokukholelwa ukuba igazi lezilwanyana (okanye inxalenye yalo) ngokuqinisekileyo liyasetyenziswa ekutyeni ekuhlaleni, amaKristu afanele alumke. Sekunjalo, iya kuba bubuyatha ukuphazanyiswa sisikrokro nje okanye uhlale ukhathazekile ngaphandle kwesizathu.

Mandulo kwimbali yomntu, uMdali wethu wayalela ukuba abantu babengafanele balitye igazi. (Genesis 9:3, 4) Wathi igazi limela ubomi, obusisipho esivela kuye. Igazi elikhutshwe kwisidalwa lalinokusetyenziswa kuphela kwidini, njengasesibingelelweni. Ngapha koko, igazi eliphuma kwisidalwa lalimele ligalelwe emhlabeni, ngengqiqo yokulibuyisela kuThixo. Bonke abalidlayo bonqanyulwa.” (Levitikus 17:11-14) Ukwala kukaThixo ukuba kutyiwe igazi kwaphindwa nakumaKristu. (IZenzo 15:28, 29) Ngoko amaKristu okuqala kwakufuneka ekuphephile ukutya okunegazi, njengenyama yezilwanyana ezikrwitshiweyo okanye isoseji eyenziwe ngegazi.

Noko ke, ngendlela esebenzisekayo, loo maKristu ayenokwenza njani ukuze ‘azigcine egazini’? (IZenzo 21:25) Ngaba ayefanele nje asebenzise amazwi ompostile uPawulos: “Yonke into ethengelwa endaweni yokuthenga inyama, yidleni, ningaphicothi nto ngenxa yesazela”?

Hayi. Loo mazwi akweyoku-1 kwabaseKorinte 10:25 abhekisela kwinyama ekusenokwenzeka ukuba yayiyeyesilwanyana ekwakwenziwe ngaso idini kwitempile yesithixo. Ngelo xesha, inyama eseleyo ezitempileni kwakuthengiswa ngayo kubarhwebi, ababesenokuyidibanisa nenyama ababeyithengisa ezivenkileni zabo. Ingongoma kaPawulos yayiyeyokuba loo nyama yayivela etempileni yayingekho mbi okanye yayingangcoliswanga. Kuyabonakala ukuba yayilisiko ukophisa isilwanyana ekwakusenziwa ngaso idini apho kuze kusetyenziswe igazi lazo kwizibingelelo zabahedeni. Ngoko ukuba enye yaloo nyama iseleyo yayithengiswa emarikeni, kungekho nto icacileyo eyayiyinxibelelanisa netempile okanye neengcamango eziphosakeleyo zabahedeni, amaKristu ayenokusuka ayithenge njengenyama ethengiswayo eyayicocekile neyayophiswe kakuhle.

Noko ke, kwakumele kwahluke ukuba loo maKristu ayesazi ukuba inyama yezilwanyana ezikrwitshiweyo (okanye isoseji eyenziwe ngegazi) yayiyenye yenyama ethandwayo kwiivenkile zasekuhlaleni. Kwakuya kufuneka abe nenyameko ekukhetheni inyama anokuyithenga. Ayesenokukwazi ukuphawula imveliso zenyama ezinegazi ukuba zazinombala owahlukileyo (kwananjengokuba nanamhlanje isoseji eyenziwe ngegazi ngokuqhelekileyo isenokuphawuleka kumazwe exhaphakileyo kuwo). Okanye amaKristu asenokubuza kumnini silarha okanye kumrhwebi wenyama ohloniphekileyo. Ukuba ayengenasizathu sokukholelwa ukuba inyama ethile yayinegazi, ayenokusuka athenge atye.

UPawulos wabhala: “Ukuba nengqiqo kwenu makwazeke kubantu bonke.” (Filipi 4:5, NW) Oko kusenokusebenza nakumbandela wokuthenga inyama. Umzingeli ongumSirayeli xa ebulele isilwanyana kwakufuneka asophise. (Thelekisa iDuteronomi 12:15, 16.) Ukuba intsapho yakhe yayingenakuyitya yonke loo nyama, wayesenokuyithengisa enye. Kwanokuba umzimba wesilwanyana esixheliweyo wophiswe ngokwaneleyo, intwana yegazi iyasala enyameni. Kodwa eBhayibhileni akukho ndawo ithi umYuda othenga inyama kwakufuneka azixhalabise gqitha ezama ukuqonda inani lemizuzu eye yayihlala emva kokuba ixheliwe isophiswa, kuye kusikwe wuphi umthambo ukuze igazi liphume yaye isilwanyana siye saxhonywa njani yaye ixesha elide kangakanani. Kumazwe amaninzi namhlanje, ngenxa yomthetho, isiko, okanye iinkolelo zonqulo iimveliso zenyama (ngaphandle kwezinto ezingaqhelekanga, njengesoseji eyenziwe ngegazi) zenziwe ngenyama yezilwanyana eziye zophiswa xa zixhelwa. Ngaloo ndlela, ngokuqhelekileyo akuyomfuneko ngamaKristu akuloo mimandla ukuba axhalabe ngendlela eye yaxhelwa okanye yasetyenziswa ngayo. Ngengqiqo ebhekele phaya, anokusuka nje ‘adle yonke inyama ethengelwa endaweni yokuthenga inyama, engaphicothi nto,’ yaye anokuba nesazela esicocekileyo sokuba ayazinxwema egazini.

Noko ke, maxa wambi, kuye kwakho ezinye iingxelo ezimalunga nokusetyenziswa kwegazi kwiindawo zentengiso eziye zawaphazamisa amaKristu athile. Abanye oosomashishini kumashishini enyama baqiqa ngelithi igazi elininzi lezilwanyana ezixheliweyo linokuqokelelwa lize lisetyenziswe nokuze kufunyanwe inzuzo, njengakwizichumiso okanye ukutya kwezilwanyana. Abaphengululi baye baphanda enoba igazi elinjalo okanye (iinxalenye zalo) linokusetyenziswa kwinyama elungisiweyo. Imizi-mveliso embalwa iye yavelisa isiyilelo segazi sikwimo yolwelo, sikhenkciwe, okanye singumgubo (okanye imveliso ethile nengenambala nephuma kwiiseli ezibomvu) esenokuthabathela indawo inyama kwizinto ezinjengesoseji okanye ukutya okwenziwe ngentlama enenyama (pâté). Olunye uphando lwalusekelwe ekusetyenzisweni komgubo owenziwe ngegazi njengenye yeemveliso okanye ukudibanisa amanzi namafutha enyameni esiliweyo, kwizinto ezisetyenziswa ekojeni, okanye kokunye ukutya neziselo ukongeza iproteni okanye i-iron.

Akuthethi ukuba onke amaKristu zwenibanzi amele afundisise loo maphepha nezithako zokutya kuzo zonke izinto ekufakwe kuzo ukutya okanye umele agocagoce abaqeshwa kwiindawo zokutyela okanye kwiivenkile zokutya. UmKristu usenokuqala azibuze, ‘Ngaba bukho ubungqina obuqinisekileyo bokuba igazi nezinto ezenziwe ngalo ziyasetyenziswa ekutyeni okuqhelekileyo kulo mmandla okanye kweli lizwe?’ Kwiindawo ezininzi akunjalo. Ngenxa yoko, amaKristu amaninzi agqibe ekubeni wona ngokwawo awanakuchitha ixesha elininzi aze anikele ingqalelo ekuphandeni ngenxa yezikrokro ezingephi. Umntu ongavakalelwa ngale ndlela ufanele enze ngokuvisisana nesazela sakhe, angabagwebi abanye abasenokuwujonga ngenye indlela lo mcimbi kodwa ngenxa yesazela esilungileyo phambi koThixo.—Roma 14:2-4, 12.

Kwanokuba ukutya okunegazi kunokuveliswa, kusenokuba oku ngokubanzi akwenziwa ngenxa yentlawulo, ngenxa yomthetho, okanye abanye oonobangela. Ngokomzekelo, iFood Processing (kaSeptemba 1991) yathi: “Kwabo basebenzi benyama abanengxaki (kwiqebengwana elinenyama phakathi) elinganeno kwesinye ekhulwini lomxube weplasma yenkomo efakwe amanzi, omnye umxube uwuthabathela indawo ngeproteni yentloya yaye waziwa njengeKosher.”
