Ukuba Nokholo Kwisiprofeto SeBhayibhile Kusindisa Ubomi

UYESU ushiya itempile yaseYerusalem isihlandlo sokugqibela xa omnye wabafundi bakhe edanduluka esithi: “Mfundisi, khangela! olunjani lona uhlobo lwamatye yaye olunjani lona uhlobo lwezakhiwo!” Itempile lelona bhongo neqhayiya kumaYuda. Noko ke, uYesu uphendula athi: “Uyazibona na ezi zakhiwo zikhulu? Akuyi kusala litye phezu kwelitye apha elingayi kudilizwa.”—Marko 13:1, 2.

UYesu uyabalumkisa esithi: “Isiphelo asikabikho.” Okukuqala, abafundi baza kuva ngeemfazwe, iinyikima, iindlala neendyikitya zokufa kwiindawo ngeendawo. Malunga nowama-61 C.E., amaKristu aseYerusalem afumana ileta evela kumpostile uPawulos. Kuba ‘sekulithuba elincinane kakhulu,’ ukuba athi ‘lowo uzayo afike yaye akayi kulibala.’ ‘Kodwa owam yena lowo ulilungisa uya kuphila ngenxa yokholo,’ yaye, ‘ukuba uthe wahlehla, umphefumlo wam awukholiswa nguye.’” (Hebhere 10:35-38) Ngokwenene esi siluleko sifike ngexesha! Kodwa ngaba amaKristu aza kuba nokholo aze ahlale esiphaphele isiprofeto sikaYesu? Ngaba ngokwenene isiphelo seYerusalem sisemnyango?

Kwiminyaka engaphezu kwemihlanu elandelayo imeko yaseYerusalem iya isiba mandundu ngokuthe ngcembe. Ekugqibeleni, ngowama-66 C.E., iRhuluneli yaseRoma eliqotha-qikili uFlorus urhwaphiliza imali ezitalente ezili-17 “imali yerhafu engekahlawulwa” kubuncwane betempile engcwele. AmaYuda aba nomsindo aze avukele urhulumente wamaRoma. Abavukeli abangamaYuda, baya eYerusalem baze babulale amajoni amaRoma. Emva koko ngenkalipho bathi elakwaYuda likhululekile kwiRoma. Ngoku elakwaYuda neRoma abambene ngezihlwitha!

Kwiinyanga nje ezintathu, irhuluneli engumRoma yaseSiriya, uCestius Gallus, iya emzantsi namajoni angama-30 000 ukuya kuphelisa le mvukelo yamaYuda. Umkhosi wakhe ufika eYerusalem kanye xa kuqhubeka uMthendeleko Weminquba uze ungene ngokukhawuleza. AmaYuda athile abalekela kwinqaba yetempile. Ngokukhawuleza amajoni amaRoma aqalisa ukudiliza iindonga zetempile. AmaYuda ayothuswa koku. Kaloku, la majoni angabahedeni angcolisa esona sakhiwo singcwele samaYuda! Noko ke, amaKristu asesixekweni, akhumbula amazwi kaYesu athi: ‘Xa nibona into elizothe ebangela isiphanziso, imi kwindawo engcwele, mabandule abo bakwelakwaYuda basabele ezintabeni.’ (Mateyu 24:15, 16) Ngaba aza kuba nokholo kwisiprofeto sikaYesu aze enze ngokuvisisana naso? Izinto ezenzekayo zityhila ukuba ubomi bawo buxhomekeke ekwenzeni oko. Baza kusaba njani?

Ngesiquphe nangaphandle kwesizathu, uCestius Gallus uyarhoxa nomkhosi wakhe aze abalekele ngaselunxwemeni ngoxa eleqwa ngabavukeli bamaYuda. Okumangalisayo kukuba, imbandezelo kweso sixeko iphela ngesiquphe. Ebonisa ukholo kwisiprofeto sikaYesu, amaKristu ayasaba eYerusalem aze abalekele ePella, isixeko esisezintabeni ngaphesheya koMlambo iYordan. Abaleka kanye ngexesha elifanelekileyo. Kungekudala la maYuda anemvukelo abuyela eYerusalem aze anyanzele abemi abaseleyo kuba awathelele kule mvukelo yawo.a Ekhuselekile ePella, amaKristu alindele ezinye iziganeko.

Ulawulo Luphela Nya

Kwiinyanga nje ezimbalwa, umkhosi omtsha wamaRoma uya eYerusalem. Ebudeni bowama-67 C.E., uNjengele uVespasian nonyana wakhe uTitus bahlanganisa umkhosi omkhulu wamajoni angama-60 000. Kwiminyaka emibini elandelayo, lo mkhosi uya eYerusalem, utshabalalisa yonke into emi endleleni yawo. Kusenjalo, ngaphakathi eYerusalem, amaYuda asukuzanayo ayalwa kuqhum’ uthuli! Oovimba besixeko abanengqolowa bayatshatyalaliswa, ummandla ongqonge itempile uyadilizwa, yaye amaYuda angaphezu kwama-20 000 ayabulawa. UVespasian uyalibazisa ukuya eYerusalem, esithi: ‘UThixo uwenza bhetele kunam umsebenzi wokuba yinjengele yamaRoma; iintshaba zethu zibulalana zodwa.’

Xa uMlawuli wamaRoma uNero esifa, uVespasian uya eRoma ukuya kungena esihlalweni, eshiya ngasemva uTitus ukuba agqibezele lo mlo. UTitus ufika eYerusalem kufuphi nePasika yowama-70 C.E., evalela ngaphakathi esixekweni abemi balapho nabo babeze kunqula. Imikhosi yakhe igawula imithi yasemaphandleni akwaYuda ukuze yakhe udonga oluziikhilomitha ezisi-7 ubude oluza kurhangqa esi sixeko. Kwenzeka kanye oko kwaxelwa nguYesu esithi: “Iintshaba zakho ziya kwakha inqaba zikujikeleze ngezibonda ezibaziweyo yaye ziya kukurhawula zize zikubandezele macala onke.”—Luka 19:43.

Kungekudala esi sixeko sithwaxwa yindlala. Izaphuli-mthetho ezixhobileyo ziphanga amakhaya abantu abafileyo nabo sele beza kufa. Ubuncinane, omnye umfazi ofa yindlala ubulala usana lwakhe aze alutye, ezalisekisa esi siprofeto: “Wothi ke udle isiqhamo sesisu sakho, inyama yoonyana bakho neentombi zakho . . . ngenxa yengxinano nengcinezelo oluya kukurhangqa ngayo utshaba lwakho.”—Duteronomi 28:53-57.

Eneneni, olu hlanga luhlelwe yintlekele, izinto zitshintshile kwezopolitiko, kunqulo nakubomi bamaYuda.c

Ngalo lonke eli xesha, wona amaKristu ePella ambulela gqitha uThixo ngokusinda kwawo. Ukuba nokholo kwawo kwisiprofeto seBhayibhile kusindise ubomi bawo!

Xa sikhangela ezo ziganeko, ngamnye wethu umele azibuze: ‘Ngaba ndinokholo oluya kusindisa ubomi bam ebudeni bembandezelo enkulu ezayo? Ngaba ‘ndiluhlobo olunokholo olugcina umphefumlo uphila’?’—Hebhere 10:39; ISityhilelo 7:14.
