Uxhobisa Abapostile Ngaphambi Kokwahlukana Nabo

KUSEMVA kwesidlo sesikhumbuzo, kodwa uYesu nabapostile bakhe basekwigumbi eliphezulu. Nangona uYesu eza kuthi kwakamsinya ahambe, usenezinto ezininzi afuna ukuzithetha. Uyabathuthuzela esithi: “Intliziyo yenu mayingakhathazeki; kholwani kuThixo.” Kodwa wongezelela ngokuthi: “Nikholwe nakum.”

UYesu uhlabela mgama esithi: “Endlwini kaBawo zininzi iindawo zokuhlala. . . . Ndiyemka, ndiya kunilungiselela indawo . . . ukuze apho ndikhona mna, nibe khona nani. Apho ke ndiya khona mna niyakwazi, nendlela niyayazi.” Abapostile abaqondi ukuba uYesu uthetha ngokuya ezulwini, ngoko uTomas uyabuza: “Nkosi, asazi apho uya khona; singathini na ke ukuyazi indlela?”

UYesu uphendula esithi: “Ndim indlela, ndim inyaniso, ndim ubomi.” Ewe, kuphela kungokukholwa kuye nokuxelisa ikhondo lakhe lokuphila anokuthi ubani angene kwindlu yasezulwini kaYise kuba, njengokuba uYesu esitsho: “Akukho namnye uzayo kuBawo, engezi ngam.”

UFilipu unesi sicelo kuye: “Nkosi, sibonise uYihlo, kosanelisa.” Ngokucacileyo uFilipu ufuna uYesu ababonise umbono obonakalayo kaThixo, njengoko oko kwenzeka kumaxesha amandulo kumbono owaboniswa uMoses, uEliya noIsaya. Akunjalo, kodwa uthetha ukuba baya kuqhubeka nobulungiseleli ixesha elide ngakumbi, beya kugubungela ummandla omkhulu ngakumbi nakubantu abaninzi ngakumbi.

UYesu akasayi kubalahla abafundi bakhe emva kokumka kwakhe. Ubathembisa esithi: “Nento enithe nayicela egameni lam, ndoyenza yona.” Esongezelela, uthi: “Mna ndiya kucela kuBawo, aze aninike omnye uMthetheleli, ukuze ahlale nani ngonaphakade: uMoya wenyaniso.” Kamva, emva kokunyukela kwakhe ezulwini, uYesu uthulula umoya oyingcwele, ongomnye umthetheleli, phezu kwabafundi bakhe.

Ngoku uYesu uvakalisa umthetho olula othi: “Lowo unayo imithetho yam ayigcine, nguye ondithandayo; lowo ke undithandayo, uya kuthandwa nguBawo; nam ndiya kumthanda, ndizibonakalise kuye.”

Xa ethetha oku umpostile uYuda, okwabizwa ngokuba nguTadeyu, ungenelela ngokuthi: “Nkosi, kutheni na, le nto uza kuzibonakalisa kuthi, ungazibonakalisi kulo ihlabathi?”

UYesu uphendula esithi: “Ukuba umntu uyandithanda, woligcina ilizwi lam; wothi uBawo amthande . . . Lowo ungandithandiyo akawagcini amazwi am.” Ngokwahlukileyo kubalandeli bakhe abathobelayo, ihlabathi liyazigatya iimfundiso zikaKristu. Ngoko akazibonakalisi kulo.

Ebudeni bobulungiseleli bakhe basemhlabeni, uYesu ubafundise izinto ezininzi abapostile bakhe. Baza kuzikhumbula njani zonke, ingakumbi ekubeni, kude kube ngoku, belibala kangaka? Okuvuyisayo kukuba, uYesu ubathembisa oku: “Ke uMthetheleli, uMoya oyiNgcwele, aya kumthuma uBawo egameni lam, yena uya kunifundisa zonke izinto, anikhumbuze zonke izinto endizithethe kuni.”

Kwakhona ebathuthuzela, uYesu uthi: “Ndishiya uxolo kuni; ndininika uxolo lwam . . . Mayingakhathazeki intliziyo yenu.” Enyanisweni, uYesu uyemka, kodwa ubacacisela esithi: “Ukuba benindithanda, ngenavuyayo kuba ndathi, Ndiya kuBawo; ngokuba uBawo mkhulu kunam.”

Lincinane ixesha eliseleyo uYesu esenabo. Uthi: “Andisayi kuba sathetha zinto zininzi nani; kuba esiza umphathi weli hlabathi, engenanto nam.” USathana uMtyholi, owathi wakwazi ukungena kuYuda waza wamlawula, ungumlawuli wehlabathi. Ukunandipha Ulwalamano Olusenyongweni

Emva kwesidlo sesikhumbuzo, uYesu ebekhuthaza abapostile bakhe ngencoko engacwangciswanga nesuka entliziyweni. Kusenokwenzeka ukuba kusemva kwasezinzulwini zobusuku. Ngoko uYesu uyabongoza: “Vukani, simke apha.” Noko ke, ngaphambi kokuba bahambe, uYesu, eshukunyiswe luthando lwakhe ngabo, uyaqhubeka ethetha, esenza umzekeliso okhuthazayo.

Uqalisa ngokuthi: “Mna ndingumdiliya wenyaniso, umlimi wawo ke nguBawo.” UMlimi Omkhulu, uYehova uThixo, wawulima lo mdiliya wokomfuziselo xa wathambisa uYesu ngomoya oyingcwele ekubhaptizweni kwakhe ekwindla ngowama-29 C.E. Kodwa uYesu uhlabela mgama ebonisa ukuba umdiliya ufanekisela okungakumbi kunaye nje, esithi: “Amasebe onke akum angathwali siqhamo, uyawasusa; onke athwala isiqhamo uyawathena, ukuze athwale isiqhamo ngakumbi. . . . Njengokuba isebe lingenako ukuthwala isiqhamo ngokwalo, lingahlalanga emdiliyeni, ngokunjalo aninako nani, ningahlalanga kum. Umdiliya ndim, nina ningamasebe.”

Kwiintsuku ezingama-51 kamva, ngePentekoste, abapostile nabanye baba ngamasebe alo mdiliya xa umoya oyingcwele uthululelwa phezu kwabo. UYesu ucacisa indlela yokuvelisa isiqhamo: “Lowo uhleli kum, ndibe mna ndihleli kuye, yena uthwala isiqhamo esininzi; ngokuba, ningekum, aninakwenza nto.” Noko ke, ukuba umntu uyasilela ukuvelisa isiqhamo, uYesu uthi, “Ulahlelwa phandle njengesebe, ome; baze abantu bawabuthe, bawaphose emlilweni, atshiswe.” Kwelinye icala, uYesu uthembisa oku: “Ukuba nithe nahlala kum, namazwi am ahlala kuni, nocela into enisukuba niyithanda niyenzelwe.”

Ngoku uYesu uyabongoza, “Hlalani ke eluthandweni lwam.” Ukanti, banokukwenza njani oko abapostile bakhe? Uthi, “Ukuba nithi niyigcine imithetho yam, hlalani eluthandweni lwam.” Ehlabela mgama, uYesu uyacacisa: “Nguwo lo umthetho wam, wokuba nithandane, njengoko ndanithandayo nina. Akukho namnye unalo uthando olungaphezu kolu, lokuba ubomi bakhe abuncamele izihlobo zakhe.”

Kwiiyure ezingephi, uYesu uza kubonisa olu thando lugqithiseleyo ngokunikela ngobomi bakhe ngenxa yabapostile bakhe, nangenxa yabo bonke abanye abaya kukholwa kuye. Umzekelo wakhe ufanele ubashukumise abalandeli bakhe ukuba babe nothando lokuzincama olufanayo omnye ngomnye. Olu thando luya kuba luphawu olubafanisayo, njengokuba uYesu echazile ngaphambilana: “Ngayo le nto baya kwazi bonke, ukuba ningabafundi bam, ukuba nithe nathandana.”

Efanisa abahlobo bakhe, uYesu uthi: “Nizizihlobo zam nina, ukuba nithi nikwenze konke endinimisele khona mna. Andisatsho ukuthi ningabakhonzi; ngokuba umkhonzi akakwazi okwenziwa yinkosi yakhe; mna ke ndithe nizizihlobo; ngokuba zonke izinto endaziva kuBawo, ndanazisa zona.”

Olunjani lona ukuxabiseka ulwalamano abanalo—ukuba ngabahlobo abasenyongweni bakaYesu! Kodwa ukuze baqhubeke benandipha olu lwalamano, abalandeli bakhe bamele ‘baqhubeke bethwala isiqhamo.’ Ukuba benjenjalo, uYesu uthi, “oko enithe nakucela kuBawo egameni lam, [uya kuninika].” Ngokuqinisekileyo, lowo ngumvuzo ozukileyo wokuthwala isiqhamo soBukumkani! Emva kokubabongoza kwakhona abapostile bakhe ukuba ‘bathandane,’ uYesu ucacisa ukuba ihlabathi liya kubathiya. Sekunjalo, uyabathuthuzela esithi: “Ukuba ihlabathi linithiyile, yazini ukuba lindithiye kuqala kunani.” Ngokulandelayo uYesu utyhila isizathu sokuba ihlabathi libathiyile abalandeli bakhe, esithi: “Ngokuba ningengabehlabathi, ndaninyulayo mna kulo ihlabathi, ngenxa yoko linithiyile ihlabathi.”

Echaza ngokubhekele phaya isizathu sokuthiywa lihlabathi, uYesu uhlabela mgama esithi: “Ke ezi zinto baya kuzenza kuni ngenxa yegama lam ngokuba bengamazi [uYehova uThixo] owandithumayo.” Eneneni, imimangaliso uYesu awayenzayo, iyabagweba abo bamthiyileyo, njengoko esithi: “Ukuba bendingenzanga phakathi kwabo imisebenzi engenziwanga mntu wumbi, ngebengabanga nasono; kaloku ke babonile; noko bandithiyile mna noBawo.” Ngaloo ndlela, njengoko uYesu esitsho, sizalisekile isibhalo esithi: “Bandithiya kungekho sizathu.”

Njengoko enzile ngaphambilana, kwakhona uYesu uyabathuthuzela ngokuthembisa ukuthumela umthetheleli, umoya oyingcwele, ongamandla kaThixo asebenzayo. “Yena wongqina ngam. Nani ke niyangqina.”

Isiluleko Esingakumbi Ngaphambi Kokwahlukana

UYesu nabapostile bakhe balungele ukuphuma kwigumbi eliphezulu. Uhlabela mgama esithi: “Ezi zinto ndizithethile kuni, ukuze ningakhutyekiswa.” Ngoko unikela isilumkiso esoyikisayo esithi: “Baya kunigxotha esikhungwini; ewe, kuza ilixa lokuba bonke abanibulalayo, babe bona bakhonza uThixo.”

Kubonakala ukuba abapostile baphazamiseka ngokunzulu sesi silumkiso. Nangona uYesu wayetshilo ngaphambili ukuba ihlabathi laliya kubathiya, akazanga atsho ukuba babeya kubulawa. UYesu ucacisa athi: “ [Ezi] zinto ke andinixelelanga kwasekuqaleni, ngokuba bendinani.” Ukanti, hayi indlela ekukuhle ngayo ukuba abaxhobise ngale nkcazelo ngaphambi kokuba ahlukane nabo!

UYesu uhlabela mgama esithi: “Ngoku ke ndiyemka, ndiya kowandithumayo; akukho namnye kuni undibuzayo, athi, Uya phi na?” Ngaphambilana kobu busuku, babebuzile ukuba wayesiya phi na, kodwa ngoku bothuswe kakhulu koko ebebaxelela kona kangangokuba bayasilela ukubuza okungakumbi ngoku. Njengokuba uYesu esithi: “Ngokuba ke ezi zinto ndizithethile kuni, iintlungu ziyizalisile intliziyo yenu.” Abapostile abakho buhlungu kuphela ngenxa yokuba beve ukuba baza kutshutshiswa ngokukrakra baze babulawe kodwa ngenxa yokuba iNkosi yabo iyabashiya.

Ngoko uYesu uyabacacisela: “Kunilungele ukuba ndimke; kuba, ndingemkanga, uMthetheleli akayi kuza kuni; ke, ndithe ndemka, ndiya kumthumela kuni.” Njengomntu, uYesu unokuba kwindawo enye kuphela ngexesha, kodwa xa esezulwini, unokumthumela umthetheli, umoya oyingcwele kaThixo kubalandeli bakhe nokuba baphi na emhlabeni. Ngoko ukumka kukaYesu kuza kuba yingenelo.

UYesu uthi, umoya oyingcwele “uya kulohlwaya ihlabathi lidane, ngenxa yesono, nangenxa yobulungisa, nangenxa yomgwebo.” Isono sehlabathi, ukusilela kwalo ukuba nokholo kuNyana kaThixo, siya kubhencwa. Ukongezelela, ubungqina obeyisayo bobulungisa bukaYesu buya kubonakaliswa ngokunyukela kwakhe kuYise. Yaye ukusilela kukaSathana nehlabathi lakhe elingendawo ukwaphula ingqibelelo kaYesu kububungqina obeyisayo bokuba umphathi weli hlabathi ugwetywe ngokuqatha.

UYesu uhlabela mgama esithi: “Ndisenezinto ezininzi zokuthetha kuni, kodwa aninako ukuzithwala ngoku.” Ngoko ke uYesu uthembisa ukuba xa athulula umoya oyingcwele, ongamandla kaThixo asebenzayo, uya kubakhokelela ekuziqondeni ezi zinto ngokwamandla abo okuqonda.

Abapostile abaqondi ukuba uYesu uza kufa aze aphinde abonakale kubo emva kokuba evusiwe. Ngoko bayabuzana: “Yintoni na le ayithethayo kuthi, athi, Liselilixesha elifutshane, nibuye ningandiboni; kubuye kube lixesha elifutshane, nize nindibone; nokuthi, Mna ndiya kuBawo?”

UYesu uyaqonda ukuba bafuna ukumbuza, ngoko uyabacacisela: “Inene, inene, ndithi kuni, niya kulila nihlahlambe, ke lona ihlabathi liya kuvuya; niya kuxhalaba nina, ke ukuxhalaba kwenu kuya kuba luvuyo.” Kamva ngolo suku emva kwemini, xa uYesu ebulawa, iinkokeli zonqulo zehlabathi ziyavuya, kodwa abafundi babuhlungu. Noko ke, intlungu yabo iba luvuyo xa uYesu evuswa! Yaye bayaqhubeka bevuya xa ebanika amandla ngePentekoste ukuba babe ngamangqina akhe ngokuthululela phezu kwabo umoya oyingcwele kaThixo!

Ethelekisa imeko yabapostile naleyo yomfazi onemimba, uYesu uthi: “Umfazi xa aza kuzala, uyaxhalaba, ngokuba ilixa lakhe lifikile.” Kodwa uYesu uphawula ukuba uyayilibala imbandezelo yakhe xa athe umntwana wazalwa, ibe ukhuthaza abapostile bakhe, esithi: “Nani ke ngoko nixhalabile ngokunje; kodwa ndobuya ndinibone [xa ndivusiwe]; yaye iya kuvuya intliziyo yenu, novuyo lwenu akukho namnye uya kuluhlutha kuni.”

Ukuza kuthi ga ngoku, abapostile abakaze bacele nto egameni likaYesu. Kodwa ngoku uthi: “Zonke izinto enithe nazicela kuBawo egameni lam, woninika. . . . Kuba uBawo ngokwakhe uyanithanda; ngokuba nina nindithandile, nakholwa ukuba mna ndaphuma kuThixo. Ndaphuma kuBawo, ndeza ehlabathini; ndibuya ndilishiye ihlabathi, ndiye kuBawo.”

Amazwi kaYesu alukhuthazo olukhulu kubapostile. Bathi: “Ngaloo nto siyakholwa ukuba waphuma kuThixo.” UYesu ubuza athi: “Niyakholwa na ngoku? Yabonani kuza ilixa, nakaloku lifikile, lokuba nichithwe, elowo aye kowabo, nindishiye ndedwa.” Nangona oko kuvakala kungakholeleki, kwenzeka kanye ngaphambi kokuba kudlule ubusuku!

UYesu uqukumbela ngokuthi: “Ezi zinto ndizithethile kuni, ukuze nibe noxolo kum. Ehlabathini niya kuba nembandezelo; yomelelani, mna ndiloyisile ihlabathi.” UYesu waloyisa ihlabathi ngokuphumeza ngokuthembeka ukuthanda kukaThixo phezu kwako konke uSathana nehlabathi lakhe abazama ukukwenza ukuze baphule ingqibelelo kaYesu.

Umthandazo Wokuqukumbela Kwigumbi Eliphezulu

Eshukunyiswe luthando olunzulu ngabapostile bakhe, uYesu ubebaxhobisela ukubashiya kwakhe okusondelayo. Ngoku, emva kokubaluleka nokubathuthuzela ixesha elide, uphakamisela amehlo akhe ezulwini aze abongoze uYise esithi: “Mzukise uNyana wakho, ukuze noNyana wakho akuzukise; njengokuba wamnika igunya kubantu bonke, ukuze bonke omnike bona, abanike ubomi obungunaphakade.”

Onjani wona ukuchukumisa umbandela uYesu awukhankanyayo—ubomi obungunaphakade! Ekubeni enikwe “igunya kubantu bonke,” uYesu unokudlulisela iingenelo zedini lakhe lentlawulelo kulo lonke uluntu olufayo. Ukanti, unika “ubomi obungunaphakade” kuphela abo uYise akholiswayo ngabo. Etyatyadula ngalo mbandela wobomi obungunaphakade, uYesu uhlabela mgama nomthandazo wakhe esithi:

“Bubo ke obu ubomi obungunaphakade, ukuba mabakwazi, wena ukuphela koThixo oyinyaniso, naye uYesu Kristu omthumileyo.” Ewe, usindiso luxhomekeke ekungeniseni kwethu ulwazi ngoThixo noNyana wakhe. Kodwa kufuneka okungakumbi kunokuba nolwazi nje lwasentloko.

Umntu umele abazi kakuhle, ekhulisa ubuhlobo obusondeleyo nabo. Ubani umele avakalelwe ngendlela abavakalelwa ngayo ngezinto aze azibone izinto ngendlela abazibona ngayo. Yaye ngaphezu kwako konke, umntu umele azame ngamandla ukuxelisa iimpawu zabo ezingenakulinganiswa nanto ekuqhubaneni nabanye.

Ngokulandelayo uYesu uthandaza athi: “Mna ndikuzukisile emhlabeni, ndiwufezile umsebenzi obundinikile ukuba ndiwenze.” Ekubeni ngaloo ndlela esifezile isabelo sakhe ukuza kuthi ga kweli nqanaba yaye eqinisekile ngempumelelo yakhe kwixesha elizayo, uyambongoza esithi: “Ndizukise ke ngoku, wena Bawo, kuwe ngokwakho, ngozuko ebendinalo kuwe, lingekabikho ihlabathi.” Ewe, ngoku ucela ukuba abuyiselwe kuzuko lwakhe lwasezulwini lwangaphambili ngokuvuswa.

Eshwankathela umsebenzi wakhe oyintloko emhlabeni, uYesu uthi: “Ndilibonakalisile igama lakho kubo abantu obundinike bona, bephuma ehlabathini; babengabakho, wabanika mna; ilizwi lakho balibambile ke.” UYesu wasebenzisa igama likaThixo, uYehova, kubulungiseleli bakhe waza wafundisa indlela echanileyo yokubizwa kwalo, kodwa wenza okungakumbi kunoko ukuze abonakalise igama likaThixo kubapostile bakhe. Walwandisa ulwazi noxabiso lwabo ngoYehova, ngobuntu bakhe nangeenjongo zakhe.

Emgqala uYehova njengoMkhulu kunaye, Lowo akhonza phantsi kwakhe, uYesu uvuma ngokuzithoba esithi: “Amazwi ondinike wona, ndiwanike bona; bona bawathabatha, baqonda ngokwenyaniso ukuba ndaphuma kuwe; bakholwa ukuba wena wandithuma.”

Esenza umahluko phakathi kwabalandeli bakhe noluntu luphela, uYesu ngokulandelayo uthandaza athi: ‘Mna ndicelela bona; andiceleli lona ihlabathi, ndicelela abo undinike bona. Oko bendinabo ehlabathini mna, bendibalondolozile, ndibagcinile; akukho namnye kubo utshabaleleyo, ingenguye lowo wentshabalalo,’ obizwa ngokuba, nguYuda Sikariyoti. UYesu uhlabela mgama ethandaza aze athi, “Ihlabathi labathiya . . . Andiceli ukuba ubasuse ehlabathini; ndicela ukuba ubagcine kuyo inkohlakalo. Abangabo abehlabathi, njengokuba nam ndingenguye owehlabathi.” Abalandeli bakaYesu basehlabathini, eli butho labantu lilungelelanisiweyo nelilawulwa nguSathana, kodwa bahlukile yaye bamele ngamaxesha onke bahlale bahlukile kulo nakubungendawo balo.

UYesu uhlabela mgama esithi: “Bangcwalise ngayo inyaniso yakho; ilizwi lakho liyinyaniso.” Apha uYesu uzibiza iZibhalo zesiHebhere eziphefumlelweyo, ebesoloko ecaphula kuzo ngokuthi, “inyaniso.” Kodwa oko wakufundisa abafundi bakhe noko bathi kamva bakubhala phantsi kokuphefumlelwa njengeZibhalo zesiGrike zamaKristu ngokufanayo ‘kuyinyaniso.’ Le nyaniso inokumngcwalisa umntu, ibuguqule ngokupheleleyo ubomi bakhe, ize imenze umntu owahlukileyo ehlabathini.

Ngoku uYesu uyathandaza ‘engaceleli aba bodwa, kodwa ecelela nabo baya kukholwa kuye ngelizwi labo.’ Ngoko uYesu uthandazela abo baya kuba ngabalandeli bakhe abathanjisiweyo nabanye abafundi bexesha elizayo abaseza kuhlanganiswa babe “mhlambi mnye.” Yintoni ayicelela bonke aba?

“Ukuze bonke babe banye; njengokuba wena, Bawo, ukum, mna ndikuwe, . . . ukuze babe banye, njengokuba thina sibanye.” UYesu noYise abangomntu omnye ngokoqobo, kodwa bayavumelana ngazo zonke izinto. UYesu uthandazela ukuba abalandeli bakhe banandiphe obu bunye bufanayo ukuze “liqonde ihlabathi ukuba wena undithumile, wabathanda, njengokuba wandithandayo nam.”

Ngenxa yabo babeza kuba ngabalandeli bakhe abathanjisiweyo, uYesu ngoku ubacelela okuthile kuYise osezulwini. Ubacelela ntoni? “Babe nam, apho ndikhona mna; ukuze balubone uzuko lwam owandinika lona; ngokuba wandithanda kwaphambi kokusekwa kwehlabathi,” oko kukuthi, ngaphambi kokuba uAdam noEva babe nenzala. Kude kudala ngaphambi koko, uThixo wamthanda uNyana wakhe okuphela kwamzeleyo, owaba nguYesu Kristu.

Equkumbela umthandazo wakhe, uYesu kwakhona ugxininisa oku: “Ndabazisa igama lakho, ndandiya kubazisa; ukuze uthando ondithande ngalo lube kubo, nam ndibe kubo.” Kubapostile, ukulazi igama likaThixo kuye kwabandakanya ukulazi ngokobuqu uthando lukaThixo. ▪ UYesu uya phi, yaye uTomas ufumana yiphi impendulo ngokuphathelele indlela yokuya apho?

▪ Ngokwesicelo sakhe, kubonakala ukuba uFilipu ufuna ukuba uYesu ababonise ntoni?

▪ Abalandeli bakaYesu baya kuyenza njani imisebenzi emikhulu kunaleyo wayenzayo?
