51 This is the total of those registered of the Israelites: 601,730.+

5 Joʹab now gave to David the number of the people who were registered. All Israel amounted to 1,100,000 men armed with swords, and Judah, 470,000 men armed with swords.+ 6 But Leʹvi and Benjamin were not registered among them,+ because the king’s word was detestable to Joʹab.+

23 David did not count those 20 years of age and under, because Jehovah had promised to make Israel as many as the stars of the heavens.+
