4 Je·hoʹash said to the priests: “Take all the money that is brought to the house of Jehovah for the holy offerings,+ the money for which each one is assessed,+ the money given as an estimated value for a person,* and all the money that each person’s heart is moved to bring to the house of Jehovah.+ 5 The priests will personally take it from their donors* and use it to repair the house, wherever any damage is* found.”+

29 Hez·e·kiʹah+ became king at the age of 25, and he reigned for 29 years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was A·biʹjah the daughter of Zech·a·riʹah.+

3 In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of Jehovah and repaired them.+

9 They came to Hil·kiʹah the high priest and gave him the money that had been brought to the house of God, which the Levites serving as doorkeepers had collected from Ma·nasʹseh, Eʹphra·im, and all the rest of Israel,+ as well as from Judah, Benjamin, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 10 Then they gave it to those who were appointed over the work in the house of Jehovah. In turn the workers in the house of Jehovah used it to mend and repair the house.
