10 min: Ideas for Offering New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures—On DVD, or Genesis—On DVD in September and October. Discussion. Invite the audience to suggest questions and scriptures that could be used in a presentation. Have a presentation demonstrated. One of the following sample presentations may be used:

“Do you think it is possible to be a friend of God? [Allow for response.] I would like to share a scripture with you about an individual that proves it is possible to be God’s friend. [Show James 2:23.] Did you notice what Abraham was called? [Allow for response.] The Bible explains the life of Abraham and his friendship with God in the book of Genesis. I would like to offer you this sign-language DVD. By watching these accounts, we can learn how to develop a friendship with Jehovah God. Perhaps the next time I stop by, we could discuss what we must do to be a friend of God.”

“Have you ever had the experience of seeking advice on how to deal with certain problems only to be frustrated and disappointed in the end? [Allow for response.] Did you know that there is advice given that has had worldwide success with every person who has applied it? It is contained in a sermon given by Jesus Christ found in chapters 5-7 of the book of Matthew. This Bible book has been translated into American Sign Language. I would like to leave it with you. Perhaps when I return, we can look at some verses that deal specifically with something we all face—anxiety.”

10 min: Local needs.

10 min: Imitate the Example of Barnabas. Discussion. Invite comments from the audience on how imitating Barnabas’ example can help us as evangelizers. The following references are being supplied to help the publishers do their own research. The brother caring for the part does not need to consider all of these accounts: Acts 4:36, 37; 9:26, 27; 11:22-30; 12:25–13:12, 44-51; 14:8-18; 15:1, 2, 12; 15:36-40.
