11 Jesus answered him: “You would have no authority* at all against me unless it had been granted to you from above.*+ This is why the man that handed me over to you has greater sin.”

4 Also, a man takes this honor, not of his own accord,+ but only when he is called by God,+ just as Aaron+ also [was].

17 Every good gift+ and every perfect present is from above,+ for it comes down from the Father of the [celestial] lights,+ and with him there is not a variation of the turning of the shadow.*+
