11 For someone poor will never cease to be in the midst of the land.+ That is why I am commanding you, saying, ‘You should generously open up your hand to your afflicted and poor brother* in your land.’+

5 Now the woman who is actually a widow and left destitute+ has put her hope in God+ and persists in supplications and prayers night and day.+

27 The form of worship* that is clean+ and undefiled+ from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans*+ and widows+ in their tribulation,+ and to keep oneself without spot+ from the world.+
