2 The names of the 12 apostles are these:+ First, Simon, the one called Peter,+ and Andrew+ his brother; James the son of Zebʹe·dee and John+ his brother; 3 Philip and Bar·tholʹo·mew;+ Thomas+ and Matthew+ the tax collector; James the son of Al·phaeʹus; and Thad·daeʹus;

5 When Jesus raised his eyes and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, he said to Philip:+ “Where will we buy bread for these people to eat?”+ 6 However, he was saying this to test him, for he knew what he was about to do. 7 Philip answered him: “Two hundred de·narʹi·i worth of bread is not enough for each of them to get even a little.”

20 Now there were some Greeks among those who had come to worship at the festival. 21 So these approached Philip,+ who was from Beth·saʹi·da of Galʹi·lee, and they began to request him, saying: “Sir, we want to see Jesus.” 22 Philip came and told Andrew.+ Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus.

7 If you men had known me, you would have known my Father also;+ from this moment on you know him and have seen him.”+

8 Philip said to him: “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

9 Jesus said to him: “Even after I have been with you men for such a long time, Philip, have you not come to know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father also.+ How is it you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
