To the Romans

13 We mon obey the people dem who ruling over us, because da God allow them to be in power. The different-different people dem da ruling, da God allow them to rule in da position dem. 2 So anybody who go against the people dem da ruling, they going against the way God can do things. And the people dem who go against the way God can do things will be punish. 3 The people dem who can do good things not scare of the people dem who ruling. But the people dem who can do bad things can be scare of them. You mon not be scare of the people dem who in power, if you can do good thing dem they will praise you for it. 4 The people dem da in power, they working for God and they in da position so you can benefit. But if you do bad thing, you mon be scare because they get power* to punish you. And they not get da power for nothing, they working for God to punish people da can do bad-bad thing dem.

5 So we get good reason for obeying them. We mon not only obey them because they will punish* us, but also because it will help us to continue to get good conscience. 6 Da the reason why yor can also pay tax, because they working for God to benefit people. And they can always do this work. 7 Give everybody what they suppose to get: the person who want you to pay tax, pay the different-different type of tax. The person who want you to give them respect, give them da respect. The person who want you to honor them, show them da honor.

8 Don’t owe anybody anything. The only thing yor mon owe somebody da to show them love, because anybody who love his neighbor na do what the Law say. 9 Because the Law say, “You mon not commit adultery, you mon not kill, you mon not steal, you mon not want something da not for you,” and all the other commandment dem inside this one Law da say: “You mon love your neighbor the same way you love yourself.” 10 The person who can show love can’t do bad thing to his neighbor. So the person who can show love, they obeying the Law.

11 Yor mon do this one because yor know da the time na come for yor to wake up from sleep. The time for us to be save it really close than the time we accept the good news. 12 The night almost finish and day will soon break. So we mon stop doing the thing dem da people can do in the darkness and let use the weapon da people can use during the day. 13 Yor let behave the right way like the way people can do things in the day. We mon not have party da not get any control and we mon not get drunk, put our hand in man and woman business, doing bad things with no shame face, not arguing or making palaver or getting jealous. 14 But follow the Lord Jesus Christ example, and don’t plan to do the thing dem your body want you to do.
